98 Other Teams
They went to the gate and t with the other three teams.
“Hello~,” Jake went on greeting the others with a bright smile on his face. It seed that the others were also not going to try getting along well with the other teams.

Kate narrowed her eyes at the group at the other side. There were Lotus and also the man who was with her back then, Petra. Who would have thought that they would be in the sa mission this ti?
Kyle also narrowed his eyes.
“So you’re here.” Petra noticed them and his eyes glowed dangerously. It seed that he was willing to make a move here if only it was possible.
It was just that the fight between these awakened people were prohibited when they were in the city. If they wanted to fight, they had to go out of the city and make sure that no one was around.
After all, every single awakened were valuable resources to be able to resist these mutated giant animals that had been rampaging on the plains. If all of them were to die because of infighting, who would be the one to defend the humanities against these giant mutated animals?

“We have to cooperate together in this mission,” Lotus said while forcing herself to smile.
However, her eyes were still looking at Kyle warily as if she was facing the biggest enemy in her entire life.
“I see.” Kyle was not interested in Lotus. Whatever she knew because of her ability, he was not interested in the slightest bit. He only looked at Petra once coldly before moving away.
Jake blinked his eyes. “Do you want to change mission?”
“No need.”
“Ah?”
“My old man had a reason why he wants to be part of this mission.” Kyle pursed his lips. While he didn’t really like interacting that much with General Ryan, the other party is still his father after all. Kyle knew that General Ryan might not believe that these people would be able to finish the mission he asked.
Besides, there were so things that would be better left for people in the inside and not those outsiders.
Thus, they didn’t know the hidden mission that Kyle was entrusted by his father when he took this mission. And Kyle will only tell the others when it was ti.
“Fine by .” Jake shrugged. He trusted Kyle’s judgent. “But I’m curious what you did to that young woman to make her hate you so much.”
“ow.”
Kyle shook his head. “I don’t know.”
“Then why did she look like she hated you so much? Even though I might be a useless young master, I still could see the gazes she had towards you definitely contain hatred.” Jake was bewildered.
“It’s related to her ability.”
“Yes?” Dylan interrupted.
“I guessed that she might have been ‘reborn’ or sothing like that.” Kyle shrugged. “Her action changed so drastically that it’s a bit hard to think of her as the sa person. But since she still retained the sa personality and only so changes, I guess that her ability might have involved her going back in ti after her death.”
Jake was stunned. “Why did it feel as if I’m reading so kind of novel where the main protagonist returns in ti?”
“Isn’t that the common trope in story?” Kyle was speechless.
With the increase of Jake’s strange hobby, Kyle would not be surprised if Jake ended up reading a lot of stories where the main protagonist ended up back in ti. After all, it was a the that focused more on the second chance.
How many people would want to be able to turn back ti and fix all their regrets?
These stories might be fiction, but it allowed people to see and experience what the main protagonist went through and had so kind of satisfaction.
“Don’t you like to read them too?”
“Not really.”
“Why?” Jake was perplexed. He himself liked this kind of story so much that his father whipped him because he forgot to study.

Kyle glanced at Jake.
He did have a lot of thing that he had regretted.
However, Kyle didn’t want to go back to the past.
Because he knew that if he were to go back to the past, he would definitely not forgive those who had wronged him in this tiline. Even if they were in different tiline, he definitely would never be able to forgive them.
And it was not fair for them.
In that tiline, they hadn’t done anything.
But in Kyle’s mory, they would and thus, his action will definitely be very cruel towards them.
He didn’t want to turn into that kind of person.
Thus, Kyle thought that for the sake of himself, the people around him, and the beautiful mory that had passed, it would be better for him to never had such a chance. Anyway, he will still be reunited with his family mbers in the underworld.
That was what he believed.
“This is what you need to rember in regards to the mission.” Kyle passed so additional equipnt that he had asked Kate to take out. “Make sure that you’re not going far from each other. It’s not going to be easy to go to a place where there’s no other city nearby.”
“I know.” Dylan nodded.
Jake still wanted to continue that topic, but seeing that Kyle had changed his words, he chose not to do anything. He took the equipnt and then looked at the clothes that Kyle was wearing.
Unlike them who wear full military equipnt that will allow them to move quickly.
Kyle was wearing a jacket underneath.
And on the jacket’s middle pocket was Kate, who was peeking from the side from ti to ti. She was curious, but at the sa ti, she was afraid.
And Kyle definitely wouldn’t leave her be.
So, the only option was for her to follow Kyle.
“I think you should ask for them to make so kind of bag that will allow you to carry Little Kitty. It’s a bit strange to see you wear that kind of jacket.” Jake’s expression turned strange. “Also, how about if you equip Little Kitty with bulletproof jacket? Like the one that those military dogs wear.”
“They’re not fit.” Kyle glanced at Jake. “And the new one will takes ti to make. I asked them to make several based on Little Kitty’s current size and her future size for the next year.”
Kate: “...”
Did you want to empty the stores?
“The bag?”
“Without sufficient protection, it’s better for her to be inside my jacket. Anyway, my jacket is bulletproof because my father is worried that I’ll attract firepower.” Kyle shrugged.
Jake was speechless.
Alright, considering how many people would want to see Kyle dead, he would not be surprised that General Ryan prepared additional equipnt for Kyle. There were simply too many people who wanted Kyle’s life, especially when he had already pissed off so many people in the past.
Thinking about that, Jake laughed lightly.
“Everyone, please enter the military vehicle. We’ll be going towards the main road and the military will clean the road first. However, after an hour or so journey, you will have to continue your journey by yourself.”
“Yes!”
Everyone went to the military vehicles. There were a total of two military vehicles, so two teams had to enter one military vehicles.
Among the four teams, Team Black (Team Kyle) had the fewest mber while Team Rodent had the most mber. Team Rodent consisted of several burly n who were carrying a lot of weapons on their back.
Their na was strange, but when Jake asked, he found out that they nad themselves as such because they wanted to eliminate rodents at first. But after the second red rain, there were not only rodents but also insects.
This na was quite strange.
But well, it was not their business.
While Jake happily chatted with them, Kate was curling up her body and listened to the conversation. Kyle was closing his eyes while Dylan was staring outside. The two of them looked relaxed, but if there was any fight nearby, they will definitely be ready at the next mont.
The other two groups were Group Petra and Sunshine Group. Group Petra was that Petra and Lotus along with the few n who followed Petra. Sunshine Group was a group that consisted of mostly won and few n.
They seed to have a lot of strange abilities.
But all in all, each and every one of them was not too clear about each other. After all, the rcenary was basically newly established, so everyone was still unclear about each other’s strength and ability.
The military was cleaning up the road by using guns.
After a while, the car stopped and the soldier called out, “Everyone, we’re here. Please proceed on your own. We hope you’ll be successful and return safely.”
