Chapter 7: First Kill

ow!

After one last shout, Kate cald down. She guessed that her professor must have trimd his cat’s claw. The cat was still young, so it might be that the claw hadn’t grown up yet...

Why did Kate feel even more desperate as ti passed?

Kate took a deep breath and walked back to the direction of her bag. Still not used with this body, her steps were a bit weird and uncoordinated. There was nothing that Kate could do.

She would always subconsciously think of her previously adult body.

And humans walked with two legs!

Not four!

.....

‘Think! Did you carry anything that you can use to kill the lizard? There’s only wallet, books, pencil case, and so on...’

There was no way that Kate would bring dangerous items with her. She didn’t have any intention of being apprehended for dangerous material possession.

Just as Kate was thinking, she walked towards Kyle’s bag.

Kyle’s bag?

Kate stared at the bag.

After a few seconds, she silently apologized to her professor and began to rummage the bag more carefully. Previously, she was hungry, so she searched his bag to find sothing that a little kitten could eat.

Now, she needed sothing to kill the lizard.

Honestly, Kate didn’t really expect anything.

But when she truly saw the content of Professor Kyle’s bag, Kate fell silent.

Is this truly the bag of a professor?

She was not looking through the bag of a mob, right?

In front of Kate was the pile of books along with a gun that was slipped at the bottom of the bag. Not only gun, there was even a pocket knife that was located not far from the gun.

Kate feel that she needed to refresh her understanding of her professor.

‘Will I be safe to follow him?’

Her current identity is Professor Kyle’s little cat. And with her current ability, Kate highly doubted that she would be able to survive by roaming by herself. It was even more so when she thought of the giant rat that she saw outside the window just now.

But looking at the equipnt inside Professor Kyle’s bag, Kate felt her brain was overloaded.

Professor Kyle was indeed known to be cold and her friend once remarked that his identity might be unordinary.

For Kate back then, it was not important.

She didn’t have much interest in the gossip.

Especially when she thought of her lessons that needed a lot to catch up because she had been hospitalized a few tis

But now that she was thinking about her delicate future... Kate began to think about things that she had heard before.

She’s afraid.

‘Ugh...’

Kate shook her small furry head and sighed.

No matter what Professor Kyle’s real identity is, she would have to latch onto him for the ti being until she was strong enough to be able to protect herself. And with her current condition as a small and cute but useless kitten, Kate highly doubted that she will be able to do that.

She hoped that this professor would treat his cat nicely.

In any case, he even brought his cat to the vet and carried her tenderly, so he shouldn’t mistreat his cat, right?

Kate sighed and fished out the pocket knife.

She knew that so of her friends also carried the pocket knife and learned how to use them. Those boys liked to show off their proficient handling. She had to admit that if they did it well, it looked cool.

But her friends were certainly not in those categories.

Kate could rember their expression when he nearly lost his own toes because the knife dropped.

*cough*

‘Uh, if I’m not wrong, this should be the way to open it.’

Kate struggled using her small paw to pull the knife open. After an unknown amount of ti, Kate finally straightened the knife and bit it with her mouth. It couldn’t be helped, she couldn’t even walk properly without carrying anything.

She could only carry the knife with her mouth.

Slowly, Kate walked towards the large lizard.

Looking at the lizard on top of the chair, Kate’s expression was hard to describe. She had completely forgotten that the chair was much taller than herself. If she wanted to kill the lizard, she had to climb this chair?

How is it possible?

Kate was struggling vehently internally and finally looked at the bottom half of the lizard that was stuck below the table.

She couldn’t reach the lizard’s neck to deal fatal blow.

In that case, she could just cut the lizard’s abdon to make it bleed to death, right?

Kate feel that she was really cruel.

Well... just do it.

Slash!

Controlling the knife with her mouth, Kate used it to pierce the lizard’s abdon and pulled to the side.

Splash!

Blood poured out to the floor.

Kate looked at the blood pooled in front of her and fell silent.

For the first ti, she felt that even a small pool of blood looked so big.
