296 The Dissatisfied Father in Law (2)
Why?
For no other reason than the fact that Jake was the one who could make Lotte kept on smiling.
Seeing their own daughter so happy with Jake and even sneaked out when they didn’t see, the two of them knew very well that it was impossible to separate these two. Even if they were not completely satisfied with Jake, they still accepted this arrangent and allowed the two to date each other.
“My father wishes that you can be more responsible and think more of the future.” Lotte laughed. “But for , I can be the one to take that role instead.”
Jake was not exactly the type to care about others so much. Even when the two first dated each other, they were a bit awkward. But the look in Jake’s eyes were extrely clear and told her that he liked her so much.
And it was those eyes that finally drown her.
Being taught in her family for a long ti, Lotte was a person who liked to plan for her future.
So, she had long decided that if Jake couldn’t, she will just take that role.
Anyway, it didn’t matter which one among them who actually plan more of their future. As long as they stayed together, it would be fine.

“If you want to, I’ll learn.” Jake’s face was a bit pale.
To be honest, he didn’t like to study and learn but if Lotte wanted it, he will work hard so that he would be worthy of her.
“No need.” Lotte stepped closer to Jake and put the two of her hands on his shoulder. There was a smile on her face. “You’re already good enough like this.”
Hearing this, Jake smiled and laughed lightly.
He’s really happy.

At the back, the others had just arrived after they finished their duty to clean up these giant mutated animals. Watching these two spreading dog food without restrain, they all had the urge to slap their heads.
“I strongly agree to the rule of not spreading dog food in public,” Marc muttered under his breath.
At least until he got a girlfriend.
That was what he said in his mind.
Lucy watched the couple in front of her and shook her head. “Forget it. Even if such rule was implented, it wouldn’t be of much use.”
“Right…”
“Wang?”
Marc didn’t answer Robby’s question and simply patted the naughty dog.

After the so called show of dog food, Kate and Kyle finally ca out.
One way or another, Kyle managed to convince his future father in law to bring Kate out. Though, he felt that it was getting harder and harder.
He had to work hard to gain the approval of his father in law.
The others then asked about the matter of the giant mutated animals being eliminated so much faster in the morning.
It was only afterwards that they knew Kate’s ability advanced and allowed her to transportation. The problem was that this transportation distance was still far even when Kate was only in rank 7.
She could easily travel around a city with her space ability. She looked at the others innocently and they felt a bit helpless about this matter too.
“Tsk, you’re getting even more powerful.” Jake clicked his tongue. “Does it an that you can technically go everywhere?”
“Not that far.” Kate looked at Jake helplessly. “At most, I can walk around City E freely. Oh, I can also enter our base below.”
Jake was speechless.
He had the feeling that they should make so kind of arrangent so that no teleportation would be possible into their base. But thinking about it from another perspective… how were they supposed to stop it?
Security system?
Unbreakable wall?
Nothing seed to be useful in the face of that insane teleportation ability. This made Jake sighed deeply and felt that he should really just think of a way to prevent others from entering in the future and not Kate.
When there was more space awakened at rank 7, the defense he prepared seed to be useless.
“Let’s try to make materials infused with space elents to prevent it.” Kyle tapped the table. He had so experience in changing material structure, so it should be possible for him to start doing research.
“Ok.” Kate nodded in agreent, her eyes glowed with excitent. She had been majored in material engineering, so this interest her greatly. Thinking about the ti when she had to do lab report and those material’s test, Kate felt excited.
She wanted to hurry and make these.
“There’s no hurry.” Kyle laughed when he saw Kate’s enthusiasm. “It’s estimated that we would not have all day long to do it.”
“I know.” Kate pursed her lips.
They still had a lot of other things to do for the ti being. City E is still being developed and being amongst the few most powerful awakened definitely made them the sweet pastry that everyone needed.
Dylan thought to himself. “I’ll make detailed security asure.”
“That sounds pretty good.”
“Yeah.” Lotte looked at Dylan with curiosity. “And it seems you’re talking more lately. Did you finally decide to have proper conversation all the ti?”
“No.” Dylan’s reply was still concise this ti.
The others laughed.
Kate smiled and leaned against Kyle. Even though she had turned into a human being again, she felt that she still liked to stay beside Kyle. It felt as if she had gotten used to his presence and comfort, making her wanting to stay beside him more and more.
They all continued their plan and talked about many things.
Ti passed quietly.
More and more giant mutated animals appeared in the distance and this ti, Kyle and Kate didn’t make a move. They had already killed enough giant mutated animals in the morning to test out their newfound ability.
It would be better to let the others play their role too.
After all, they were also very excited about it.
Rather than allowing them to destroy the city, it would be better for them to vent their excitent to these giant mutated animals.
In the end, they all only returned from City E’s wall when it was evening.
