287 Would You Like to Go Back to the Past?
Silence.
They all looked at Lucas with pity.
Having to fight these giant mutated animals during the day and dread of his own death at night…
That was really miserable.
“I don’t dream that often.” Lucas waved his hand when the others were looking at him with such gaze. “After the second red rain, the frequency had decreased and after my ability mutated like this, I never dread again.”
Kyle looked at Lucas and then asked, “Can you tell the details of your dream?”
“Well, it’s always started the sa. I was in my dormitory and the world changed. I have to fight these giant mutated animals to get out and then my sister and another woman ca to help.”
Another woman?
Lucy glanced in Kate’s direction imperceptibly but didn’t say anything. If Kate hadn’t beco a cat, it was estimated that the two of them would travel together.

“I can’t tell ti in my dream and how many days had actually passed. It’s like a movie but at the sa ti, it’s a very scary one.” Lucas smiled bitterly. He didn’t really want to rember those dreams because it was really miserable.
The battle in the dormitory was even worse than what he actually experienced. Perhaps, it was also because he had experience of battles in the dream that he fared better in real life.
He didn’t know how these two were connected.
After all, his dream was bits and pieces that seed to be strung together but there were also many missing pieces.

“After getting out of the university and the city, there’s a horde of giant mutated animals. We have to go sowhere, towards a road and then enter a forest…. But our abilities run out at that ti and I was killed by these giant mutated animals,” Lucas answered and sighed deeply.
The others looked at each other.
For so reason, the story made sense. After all, most of the other students would definitely not be able to fight these giant mutated animals well. Not to ntion, without Kate suppressing the giant mutated animals outside with her reverse healing ability in that university, they will definitely face a lot of giant mutated animals when they got out.
Thus, it could definitely be said to be a horde of giant mutated animals.
Kate looked at Lucas and her blue eyes flickered slightly. She rembered her body’s strange reaction towards all kind of black gems and the dangerous feeling she felt whenever she ca close to them.
For so reason, she felt that these mutations might have deeper mysteries inside.
Their abilities were nad based on what they could see and experienced outside. But who actually knew the real limit of these abilities? The past few months were definitely not enough for them to explore everything.
There had to be sothing deeper in these abilities they had.
“That’s a very realistic dream, but you have to rember that it’s just a dream, got it!” Lucy glared at Lucas. “I’m not going to die so easily and so will you.”
“I know.” Lucas looked at Lucy helplessly.
Now that they were in City E, things were basically much better. He didn’t have to worry so much about these giant mutated animals coming to get him. All he had to do was to pay attention to the developnt of the city and nothing else.
Kyle looked at Lucas deeply.
That dream…
For so reason, he recalled that annoying student of his who seed to know too much. There were even so nonsenses in the things that the annoying student ntioned that Kyle couldn’t comprehend.
He even wondered slightly whether those so called rebirth inside a novel could happen.
And listening to Lucas’s words, he had so thoughts.
Kate was stunned when she heard Kyle suddenly talked in a different language directly inside her mind. She glanced at Kyle who was still carrying her in confusion.
Kate was stunned.
She had just been thinking about Lucas’s words because it sounded reasonable. At least, from the conjecture of her life if she hadn’t beco Kyle’s cat, it was extrely possible for her to go with Lucy instead.
After all, she might not be willing to stay with her parents all the ti. Despite the fact that she liked peaceful life, she was also soone who wanted to see the world but hadn’t had quite the chance.
Well, not like there was no chance.
But it was more like she restrained herself and stayed holed up within her room most of the ti.
Also, if Lucy were to ask her to co with the other party to save her family, could Kate refused?
She definitely couldn’t.
And when she was still thinking, she heard Kyle’s words and so thoughts converged within her mind.
Would she want to go back to the past?
She wanted to.
There were many things that she regretted and wished to change if there was a chance. But she also knew that it was nothing more than a dream that could never be fulfilled.
It was not realistic.
Yet, at the sa ti, she didn’t want to back.
Because at this ti, she had experienced so many things. Things that she would rather not have the young her rember nor knowing in the slightest bit. Because it ant that her childhood would not be as free as it has been.
Recalling so bitter mories, Kate knew that if she had mories of those events during her childhood, she would never be able to grow up properly. She will definitely hate those people even before their eting.
Would she still be the sa person then?
That was what Kate feared the most.
She didn’t want to be a person who would only focus on hatred just because of those mories. Even if it ant that she would treasure her ti with her family more, she liked this gradual process she had when she was interacting with others.
