270 Heading to City E
Kate felt warm.
The loneliness she felt inside her dream shattered after this morning breakfast. Looking at everyone in Black Group, she felt that it was really her luck to be able to et with them all.
Even if they all faced with many unpleasant things, they still decided to stay together because they were all comrades.
They will not leave anyone behind.
This made Kate felt really warm.
Kyle patted Kate’s head tenderly and looked at his friends, nodding to them. Being able to have good friends like this was indeed his luck.
“Heh, now that we have decided that, let’s pack up and prepare to go back.”
“Yep.”
“At the very least, we should see how City E’s attitude towards us first.” Jake stretched his body.

Kate nodded. No matter what, she still wanted to see her parents. After that… she will decide whether to stay in City E or roam around.
Not to ntion that the others’ family mbers were all in City E. They definitely had to co back at so point in their lives if they still wanted to see their family mbers.
They all entered the car and drove towards City E.
Now that another day had passed, the number of giant mutated animals around had decreased. It seed that those who wanted to co to City H had already went there and the rest were simply roaming around.
Even so of these giant mutated animals didn’t dare to go to City H.
The place there was limited.
And the rest of them would rather roam around rather than seeking death. So of them were smart enough but there were more than enough who were not smart and continued to head to City H.
Watching these giant mutated animals and killed so of them from ti to ti, the journey was relatively smooth. They didn’t encounter any danger like before when they had to face that horde in City H.
Ti passed quietly.
“That’s City E,” Jake inford when City E was already within sight. “Are you ready?”
“Yeah.”
Kate looked at the gate and the soldiers guarding, feeling sowhat nervous. She could no longer rember the scene back then, but the thought of having to experience sothing like that again just made her feel extrely bitter.
She definitely didn’t want to experience it again.
So she hoped that City E would not be the sa as City H and instead just be like how it used to be.
That’s her wish.
Kyle sensed her emotional turmoil and held Kate’s hand directly. His expression was straight, but it was clear that he was paying more attention to Kate.
Feeling Kyle’s warm hand, the uneasiness within Kate’s heart slowly subsided. She felt more reassured when she was with him.
“Why do we get more dog food?” Lucy looked at the sky despairingly. She felt that she should have just asked to sit at the passenger seat so that she didn’t need to see this scene. As a single person, this scene was a torture to her frail heart, alright?
Marc smiled bitterly. “Maybe… it’s because there’s a dog here?”
As a fellow single dog, Marc also felt tortured with the dog food that was thrown by the two couples in their group. For so reason, he felt that if there was any reason for him to break up with the Black Group, the main reason would be the overwhelming dog food instead of the reverse healer matter.
But he definitely would never be able to spout this reason in front of others.
He would be mocked terribly.
“Wang! Wang?” Robby wagged his tail and moved about in the spacious room.
Looking at the stupid dog, Dylan started to wonder why it was nad as dog food in the first place. The dog itself didn’t seem that they were affected by the sudden display of affection from the people in front of him.
Oh well, it was not his business.
“Who is it?” the soldier asked. He looked at Jake with surprise. “So it’s Soldier Jake, you’re welco to enter directly.”
“Huh?” Jake was stunned.
Even Lotte’s eyes couldn’t conceal her surprise.
They looked at each other and drove the car into City E. Even though the soldiers looked the sa as usual, they still felt uneasiness. However, when they ca inside, they realized that they were thinking too much.
The soldiers didn’t look any different from before.
In fact, so even treated them better than before. This made them extrely confused as they alighted down the military car at the military compound. General Ryou was already waiting for them.
“Your parents are all waiting for you. Kyle and… Kate, please follow to General Ryan’s office.”
The others looked at each other and then their gazes landed on Kate. Kate smiled reassuringly with Kyle still holding her hand tightly. It was clear that he was unwilling to leave her alone even for a mont.
“You guys go back first. If there’s anything, contact .”
“Ok.”
After they dispersed, Kyle followed his uncle to his father’s office. Along the way, he could see the soldiers were treating them with respect. Even… there was a hint of pity?
While Kyle was analyzing these soldiers’ gaze, they finally arrived at General Ryan’s office.
Knock! Knock!
“Co in.”
The door opened.
Kyle could see his father looked a bit haggard and tired. He arched his eyebrows as he walked inside. “I see that you’ve been doing so propaganda works in the past few days.”
“That’s not called propaganda. It’s called telling the truth.” General Ryan snorted. “Anyway, you can live here peacefully and you can even set up more bases underground if you want to for your group’s family mbers if you want. I don’t care what you’re doing as long as you don’t destroy the world.”
Kate’s lips twitched at how blunt General Ryan was.
She looked at Kyle and silently wondered just what did he do to make General Ryan make such statent.
