266 Lotte’s Thoughts
It involved too many things in regards to the higher ups that Kyle didn’t understand and never wanted to participate in. For him, it would be better to stay away from those power hungry people. He didn’t have any intention to mix with them.
Not even in the slightest bit.
Kyle sighed.
Since his father had already said that City E will support him, he will go there and then decide how he would go later.

Because Jake overdrawn his ability to support the others, he had been sleeping all these tis. It was Lotte who stayed beside her boyfriend, waiting for him to wake up and joked around like he used to be.
“You’re always so noisy. I’m really not used to see you being so quiet like this.” Lotte looked at Jake on the bed and sighed deeply.
If she had to say, she just wanted Jake to wake up. Even though he was always being so annoying, she liked this side of him. Of course, she would never say it outright because she didn’t want him to beco overconfident and pester her a lot.

“When will you wake up, ah?”
Lotte looked at Jake and sighed, rubbing Jake’s hand and poking it lightly.
She knew that he was not injured and only tired ntally because he had overdrawn his ability.
But she was still worried for Jake.
Dylan had woken up.
And from the conversation she heard from outside, she knew that Kate was also awake.
Then why did Jake was still not awake?
Lotte looked at her boyfriend worriedly and bit her lower lips. She wished that Jake would wake up as soon as possible.
“Wake up and just tease again like usual, ok?” Lotte asked, her tone was sowhat pleading. She didn’t care about Jake being annoying like he did. What she wanted was for him to wake up and accompany her as usual.
No matter what, she cared for him greatly.
Jake and Lotte’s relationship had lasted for so many years. They knew each other during their school years and then sohow get together. It was to the point that even their family mbers had t each other and communicated together.
But even with such condition, she used to be quite busy because of her own academics and also future prospect. The two of them lived in different cities and usually communicated through video calls.
Lotte hadn’t thought much about getting married.
After all, she felt that it might still take so ti. Considering Jake’s easy going personality, she was not in a hurry either. He was still busy doing this and that to the point that Lotte herself wondered whether Jake would ever grow up.
But even if he was that way, she still liked him very much.
After the world suddenly changed and a lot of giant mutated animals appeared, she had been in constant worry. Staying with Jake like this made her rember the ti when they were still in school.
At that ti, they would play together almost all the ti when the school had finished.
It was to the point her father scolded her for forgetting to study.
*cough*
Well, Lotte had to admit that when she was still a teenager, she was also quite rebellious and just wanted to spend more ti with her boyfriend. They hadn’t done anything that cross the line and mostly only so dates.
And of course also playing so pranks.
They even tried to prank Kyle and Dylan but the revenge from these two were a bit too much that Jake and Lotte decided not to target them but others.
Those days were really fun.
Lotte wished it would never end.
She looked at Jake on the bed and tears trickled down from the corner of her eyes. Right now, she just wished that he could wake up and stay with her.
“Umm….” Jake felt there was water on his hand and wondered whether it was raining. He slowly opened his eyes and what greeted him was the sight of Lotte crying.
He was dumbfounded.
“Wha… Lotte, are you ok? Are you hurt or sothing? Do you need to do anything?”
It was Lotte’s turn to be stunned when she saw Jake woke up. But seeing him, all Lotte wanted to do was to hug him over and to spend more ti with Jake.
HUaaaaaa!
Jake was stupefied.
He looked at Lotte, who was hugging him, and felt thoroughly confused. But he had to admit that he liked this situation…
*cough*
Now was not the ti for him to think in that direction.
“Are you alright?” Jake asked, his voice was lowered purposely. He put one of his hand behind Lotte and patted her back tenderly.
Even though he liked being hugged by Lotte, he would feel heartache when he saw her crying like this.
Thinking about him sleeping for a long period of ti, Jake guessed that Lotte must be worried for him. He has always been naughty ever since he was young, but he would bounce over and run around to play more tricks from ti to ti.
It was rare for him to be sick for a long period of ti.
“It’s my fault that you’re so worried like this. Stop crying, ok?” Jake coaxed.
Lotte was stifling in Jake’s embrace.
His words entered her right ear and passed through her left ear. She just wanted to feel his presence and know that he’s alright.
That was all that mattered to her.
Jake looked at Lotte, who was still a crying ss and felt helpless. Whenever Lotte was in this condition, he wouldn’t be able to do anything.
Looking at Lotte, Jake suddenly whispered. “How about if we get married once we get back, Lotte?”
“Huh?” Lotte was dumbfounded. She looked at Jake with a stupefied expression, seemingly not able to process what he was saying at all.
“I’m saying, we should get married.” Jake rubbed Lotte’s head helplessly, his fingers lightly caressed her cat’s ear.
