260 Blood Stained Hands
“People are afraid of the unknown and the power of the reverse healers are simply putting their lives on the thin line.” Kyle caressed Kate’s hair slowly. “They couldn’t accept it and didn’t want them to be powerful.”
“I know.” Marc looked away. “I don’t regret following you and beat up those heartless people.”
“Do you have anyone who could be used to target you?” Kyle asked.
Marc is an orphan from the investigation he had. It was only because of his excellent academic that he was accepted in the university without having to pay anything while the other orphans would never be able to reach as far as him.
“There shouldn’t be.” Marc shrugged. “I don’t have many real friends.”
He’s poor and just an orphan.
For many people in that academy who were not as good as him, he was their target of bullying. Because he had much better result than them, they felt that he was blocking their way and wanted to eliminate him.
He had to struggle and endured many things because he had no backers.
But he didn’t care that much about it. Having Robby accompanying him most of the ti had allowed him to forget those bitter mories.

“If you have anyone close to you, they might be targeted because of this incident.” Kyle’s eyes narrowed.
His close friends were all in this car, so there wouldn’t be anyone who could be used to target him aside from his father. But his father’s capabilities, Kyle was not that worried sothing would happen to his old man.
But it would be different with Dylan and Jake.
They also have their family mbers in City E. Not being able to return to that city might have bigger impact on them rather than him.
Marc looked at Kyle for a mont and then nodded. “Yeah.”
Lucy also wished that she had given a few more slaps to these people. She couldn’t believe that they treated the reverse healers like that.
“How long has this happened?” Lotte asked, her fingers trembled a bit. She didn’t pay much attention to the news in regards to reverse healer, so this was the first ti she knew that the treatnt for those who had healing mutation was so harsh.
“Two weeks or so.” Lucy had only heard about it from the news she read. Communication line hasn’t been cut off, so she could still get so news from ti to ti. She didn’t dare to tell the others about it in fear that they would then treat Kate differently.
And as she had expected, once the fact that Kate was a reverse healer ca out, those people from City H went against her and wanted her to use her life to kill these giant mutated animals.
Did they never think that people who awakened reverse healing were also humans?
If the person who awakened reverse healing was a person close to them, their parents, their siblings, their children, could they also treat them with the sa coldness?
That was what Lucy wanted to ask the most.
But in the end, Lucy felt that it was useless to even ask those heartless people about this matter.
They didn’t care.
As long as it was unrelated people, why should they care?
Everyone was selfish.
It was useless to ask them.
“They’re not humans.” Lotte gritted her teeth.
Lucy agreed.
Her fingers clasped into a fist. There were still so bloodstain while the wound itself had already started to heal. As an enhancent ability awakened, Lucy’s recovery ability was naturally also stronger than other people.

But they could also understand the cause and effect of this matter. Without being provoked so much, Kate would never actually hurt other human beings.
She was not that cruel.
But others would not care. What they knew was that a reverse healer had killed a lot of people in City H.
And perhaps, the story would distort so much that it was impossible for others to know the real truth anymore.
This was no longer the sa world.
Even if there was so security footage that was used to control the public opinion, how many people could it reach? The current situation was simply so broken that it was hard to relay news to so remote areas.
“I hate this.” Lotte sighed, feeling really powerless.
The world is changing.
They were not ready to live in such a world and now having to face these broken people, it just made her feel even angrier and annoyed.
How to settle this problem was not easy either.
“We can’t use the sa way as it used to be when we’re in the modern world.” Lucy looked at Lotte. “Just face it if you can’t explain it.”
How many people were wronged even when there was security footage back in the ti before this change?
Lucy didn’t know, but she herself knew that there were tis when she herself wanted to beat up her classmates because of their words. Because of so broken rumors, they believed it just like that.
Even when others said the truth, they would not believe it.
In the end, all they could do was to stay silent and eat this damn loss in silence.
It was annoying.
But even the security footage couldn’t be omnipotent and protected them all the ti. Many tis, there were so things that could be twisted the black and white.
