Night had fallen, and only dim lights illuminated the Delin mansion, making it seem exceptionally quiet.

Kevla escorted Viktor as he left the mansion.

The two walked silently through the stone-paved courtyard, with only the crisp sound of their footsteps echoing in the air.

When they reached the courtyard gate, Kevla stopped behind Viktor and finally couldn't help but ask:

"So, why did you bring out Angus's armor?"

This was the question that had been troubling Kevla from the beginning to the end.

Now, that snow leopard armor was still kept in the Delin mansion.

Viktor hadn't taken it away.

It was as if he deliberately wanted to bring that armor back into the light of day and return it to their ho.

Hearing her question, Viktor walked ahead while calmly explaining:

"I wanted to ask him so questions."

"I'm curious about so things regarding Gwen."

Hmm? What?

Hearing this, Kevla stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening as she stood frozen in place.

Wait, wasn't Angus already dead?

Digging up his remains to ask questions?

No matter how one thought about it, this didn't seem right.

But before Kevla could fully co to her senses, Viktor threw another bombshell at her:

"But when I opened Angus's tomb, I found that his body wasn't inside."

Kevla: "?"

Hearing Viktor's words, Kevla was completely stunned into silence.

Her mouth half-open, her vision montarily blurred.

Wait, what did Viktor just say!?

He even opened the coffin!?

Kevla stood in place, shaking her head vigorously like a rattle drum.

She was trying to make herself more clear-headed, but then realized that this might not be the most important issue.

So she quickly continued to question Viktor:

"What do you an?"

Viktor had dug up her father's grave, and her father wasn't in the tomb?

Viktor calmly said to Kevla:

"In the tomb, there was only Angus's armor."

"So I brought that armor out."

Kevla fell silent, feeling as if so words were stuck in her chest, unable to be expressed.

If what Viktor said was true, then this would be a paranormal incident.

That tomb was built under her personal supervision.

She could be certain that no one had tampered with the tomb.

And Angus's body had clearly lost all signs of life; the possibility of feigning death could be completely ruled out.

So, what exactly had happened?

At this point, she rembered Viktor's purpose.

He said he had dug up Angus's tomb to learn so things about Gwen?

This seed too absurd.

But she still couldn't help asking:

"Then, about Gwen, what did you want to ask?"

Viktor had already left the mansion and was standing outside the gate.

Hearing Kevla's voice, he turned his head and t her gaze.

A high wall passed between them, seemingly separating them completely.

On one side was the brightly lit mansion, on the other, the dark street.

The dim light cast his shadow, making it sowhat blurry.

In that blur, Viktor's obsidian-like eyes seed to emit two dark rays from the darkness:

"What exactly did Gwen experience as a child?"

...

The wheels of the carriage rolled over the winding blue-brick road, the compartnt swaying gently, and the crisp sound of wheels grinding echoed in the quiet night street.

This carriage had no horses pulling it at the front; instead, the wheels on both sides cut through azure magical energy, propelling the carriage forward.

Viktor sat inside the carriage, lifted the window curtain, and looked toward the Delin mansion in the distance.

The large, white mansion's windows emitted a reddish-yellow light, appearing particularly soft against the backdrop of the clear moonlight.

The Delin mansion grew smaller and smaller in his view until it was obscured by dense leaves and disappeared from sight.

Vega stood opposite Viktor, shaking its body.

With its single eye, it raised an eyebrow and looked at him, opening its beak as if in mockery:

"Are you satisfied now?"

Viktor turned his head and t Vega's single, profound eye:

"I might not be at ease in the future, but at least I'm satisfied for now."

Vega chuckled, its elongated laughter echoing in the street.

Viktor, on the other hand, remained expressionless, closing his eyes and pondering on the soft cushioned backrest of the carriage.

In reality, Viktor had lied to Kevla.

He had indeed visited Angus's tomb and had not found Angus's remains.

However, he hadn't told Kevla that.

In the tomb, Angus's armor had moved on its own.

Just like the armor called [Hell Fire General] in Tisnato's tomb last ti.

Angus's armor had also transford into a level fifty boss unit.

It was nad—[Snow Leopard Knight].

Similarly, there was no body of the original owner in the tomb, and instead, there was a piece of moving armor.

Viktor couldn't help but connect the two and suspect a special relationship between them.

Although in the end, he easily defeated the strangely moving armor and brought it out of the tomb, giving it to Gwen.

He could have just taken the armor and left; there was no need to give it to her.

But in Angus's tomb, Viktor realized sothing.

"Having Kevla deliver the ssage was initially just a test for Gwen," Viktor explained simply.

In essence, he hoped to awaken Gwen's dormant emotions through so stimulating actions.

The Gwen of the past had spent her childhood in a heavy and serious environnt, with no elder willing to accommodate her.

Even her father wouldn't spare her a glance.

The only relative who was close to her was Kevla.

Therefore, after Kevla died in the ga, Gwen completely severed all human emotions.

At first glance, Kevla seed to be the key to Gwen's heart.

Only when this key remained in the world could Gwen unveil her inner coldness.

Similarly, once even Kevla was gone,

Gwen would beco an emotionless machine of justice, executing absolute fairness and justice.

However, when Viktor beca a part of Gwen's emotions, her stable state began to destabilize.

And her initial act of covering for Viktor's lie directly led to Gwen losing her 'Heart of Justice'.

Simply put, Viktor's test for Gwen was very straightforward.

"Whether she values or not is crucial."

Just as Gwen valued Kevla, even if Kevla only ca back to visit her occasionally, she would maintain a good state.

Because at that ti, Gwen still had soone to care about.

That was Kevla.

Similarly, if Gwen valued Viktor, she would definitely experience unnecessary fluctuations due to Viktor's actions.

In simple terms,

Gwen got anxious.

When Gwen realized that Viktor might actually do sothing to betray her, her emotional fluctuations were very intense.

She even proactively asked Viktor:

Have you done anything else to betray ?

But...

"I can feel that Gwen's Heart of Justice has recovered a bit."

Viktor gazed at the fleeting shadows of the treetops on both sides and took a deep breath.

This was the first ti Gwen had shown other emotions after entering this state.

Ironically, the Heart of Justice that he had been constantly wary of and always guarding against had returned in such a dramatic way.

Viktor reminisced, his gaze fixed on the moon piercing through the clouds in the sky, and sighed.

Vega stood opposite him, laughing mockingly:

"Isn't this good, Viktor?"

"You always want to pursue perfection in everything, but reality seldom goes as planned."

"No one can guarantee perfection in everything."

It raised its head, one wing standing proudly erect, the other extending outward, and said:

"Life is full of choices."

"If you want Gwen to recover, then her 'Heart of Justice' will definitely return."

"If you want Gwen to lose her 'Heart of Justice', then she will definitely maintain her current state."

As Vega spoke, it placed one wing in front of its beak, revealing only that profound single eye.

In the darkness, it seed as if a chaotic aura was constantly surging at the bottom of its eye.

Its voice beca sowhat strange, like a mixture of sounds coming from all directions, echoing inside the carriage:

"So, choose."

"Do you choose to achieve your own goals and maintain the status quo?"

"Or for Gwen's sake, let all your efforts go to waste?"

Vega's words seed to carry a hint of enticent, as if teasing Viktor's deep desires.

So Viktor closed his eyes and sat on the sofa, slowly reminiscing.

...

"Professor, wake up."

Just as the seductive aura began to occupy his mind, a clear voice sounded in Viktor's ear.

It brought his wandering thoughts back to his body.

Feeling a warmth in his arms, Viktor slowly opened his eyes.

As he fully regained consciousness, he saw Henie leaning against him.

Her arms were wrapped around him, holding him tightly.

Although her eyes were misty, Viktor could sense that Henie was now very clear-headed and rational.

Those seductive eyes, full of pink energy, were affectionate, but Henie's gaze was extrely serious and solemn.

This bold little assistant, both intoxicated and clear as a mirror, was strongly attracting him.

"I don't know when it started, but I began to like you, like you terribly."

Her words were filled with tenderness and passion.

But surprisingly, the next mont, Henie took two steps back, separating herself from Viktor's warm embrace.

She could have used this almost magical seduction to make Viktor fall deeper.

But at this crucial last second, Henie gave up.

She stepped back, like a graceful white deer, stopping at the edge of a cliff.

Henie's long hair fluttered in the gentle evening breeze, revealing the unique vitality of a young girl.

She gently smoothed the ends of her hair and tucked it behind her ear.

"But I also know that my state has beco abnormal."

"I'm starting to lose control of myself."

Those amber eyes were deeply soft and moving, so affectionate and touching that even the spring breeze seed incomparable.

The so-called paradise of tenderness in the world?

Perhaps her gaze was the most perfect interpretation.

"But I always rember," she said softly, her voice rippling under the moonlight:

"You are the person I admire the most."

Henie's eyes curved, facing the moonlight, looking at Viktor.

"My teacher once taught that life is full of choices."

"But if there really is a choice that could make the person I love also love ."

Through the moonlight, Viktor seed to see so sparkling crystals at the corner of Henie's eyes.

"Then—"

With the gentle wind of the night, it softly dispersed:

"I will never force you to love ."
