Gwen froze when she heard Lia's question.

Her fiancé?

Wait a minute.

It was as if Gwen suddenly realized sothing, and a strange thought appeared in her mind.

Her betrothed?

Who was it?

Countless mories flashed through Gwen's mind. She did rember having a marriage arrangent with the Kravina family.

Moreover, this engagent had been set since she was a child.

The betrothed was supposed to be the head of the Kravina family.

But...

If that was the case...

Then her fiancé would be...

"Lia?"

"?"

Lia on the other side of the crystal paused when she heard Gwen's confused voice.

Before she could continue, Gwen closed her eyes and stamred:

"H-h-how, how is this possible! This absolutely cannot be!"

Lia's voice gradually ca through the crystal:

"Gwen, what are you talking about?"

Gwen shook her head vigorously, dispelling both the blush on her cheeks and those distracting thoughts.

"Nothing... Lia, what's the matter?"

After a mont of silence from the other end of the crystal, the inquiring voice continued:

"I need to know so things from you right now."

Lia's tone was exceptionally serious.

Hearing this, Gwen also beca solemn.

She straightened her posture and brought the crystal closer to her ear.

Lia's voice ca through the crystal.

"Pardon my forwardness, Gwen."

"How did you beco the head of your family?"

Gwen was once again confused.

Because she had already told Lia about this matter.

Besides, her father had passed away only about a month ago.

This was sothing known throughout the nobility.

Although puzzled, since Lia was asking, she still answered:

"As you know, my brother killed my father, so I beca the first in line for succession."

Kevla wasn't a knight, so she couldn't inherit the position of family head.

Otherwise, it wouldn't have fallen to Gwen, the youngest.

The voice from the other end of the crystal continued to flow into Gwen's ears:

"Then, I have a question."

"Why did you return to the Northern Territory back then?"

Gwen had anticipated this question and opened her mouth to explain:

"It was..."

At this point, she suddenly stopped.

What was the reason again?

She rembered returning to the Delin family in the far Northern Territory was for soone very important.

Who was that person?

Was it her sister?

No...

The more Gwen thought about it, the more her head throbbed.

She held her head, and before she could say anything more, she heard Lia continue:

"Do you rember who celebrated your last birthday with you?"

"My... birthday?"

Gwen turned to look at the red sword lying nearby.

It lay quietly on the ground, gleaming with a soft red light in the darkness.

Not far from the bedroom was a set of solid bone armor, its light flowing freely even in the darkness.

However, Gwen had forgotten where they ca from.

"This isn't right..."

They definitely had an origin.

From the crystal, Lia's voice interrupted her thoughts:

"Do you know why you beca the princess's teacher?"

Gwen was suddenly stunned.

Lia's words completely magnified Gwen's confusion.

She stared blankly into the darkness ahead, at a loss.

She rembered becoming the princess's sword instructor after resigning from her position as captain of the Royal Knights.

Subsequently, Emperor Aubrey had invited her to beco the princess's sword instructor.

But... why?

Why would the emperor specifically invite her to be the princess's teacher?

There should have been many others who could teach the princess swordsmanship.

Like those sword masters, who would have been far more qualified choices compared to her.

Gwen was a knight, and quite young at that.

She was barely nine years older than the princess.

Gwen found it extrely strange.

"One last question."

"What is the princess doing now?"

This question, at least, Gwen could answer:

"The princess has sword training every other day, and during that ti, she also studies magic."

"Recently, she's been preparing for the Royal Magic Academy entrance examination..."

Suddenly, Gwen jerked her head up, her eyes flashing with bright realization.

Why was the princess preparing for the Royal Magic Academy examination?

"Because... she has another teacher?"

"And I... I know that teacher..."

Lia's fluctuating voice montarily cald down.

Her voice ca through, gentle and tinged with a hint of smile.

"That's right, Gwen."

"Go find him for ."

"Find that answer."

Gwen stood up.

Before her, only the blue crystal remained, still flickering with light.

...

A white horse burst forth, galloping through the capital.

It splashed through puddles and crossed over crisp stone-paved paths.

The howling wind whistled past the horse's ears like encouraging music, spurring it to run even harder.

Soon, the white horse arrived outside the palace.

The guards at the gate quickly stepped forward, crossing their spears to block the horse's advance.

Gwen pulled the reins, and the horse reared up on its hind legs with a neigh.

Sitting atop the horse, Gwen's face was cold as she looked at the two guards:

"I need to speak with Her Highness the Princess."

Upon recognizing Gwen, the guards quickly moved aside, allowing her to enter on horseback.

Gwen flicked the reins and gently squeezed the horse's flanks with her legs, urging it forward at high speed into the palace gardens.

Once inside, she quickly reined in the horse, dismounted, and rushed into the garden.

The mont she entered, she froze.

A familiar figure had just caught her eye.

Emperor Aubrey was leisurely sitting on a garden bench, watching Gwen's panicked entrance.

Their eyes t, and Gwen hesitated for a mont before quickly dropping to one knee before Aubrey.

"Your Majesty! Please forgive my intrusion into the palace!"

Aubrey looked at Gwen with a chuckle, stroking his beard:

"It doesn't matter."

"Let guess, you're here to ask Aurelianne about sothing?"

Gwen raised her head, looked at Emperor Aubrey, and nodded with unwavering determination in her eyes.

Aubrey pushed against his legs with both hands, stood up, and began pacing in the garden.

When he walked in front of Gwen, Aubrey slightly raised his palm.

A gust of wind, following Aubrey's wave, lifted Gwen's body.

Under this force, Gwen's body involuntarily stood up:

Magic?

No...

She felt it,

This was pure 'force.'

This was wind pressure created by the emperor's pure physical strength from his palm movent, gently lifting her up.

Aubrey nodded at Gwen as she stood up, then turned his back.

"This isn't a morning court session in the palace."

"You're the princess's teacher, there's no need to kneel."

Gwen stared blankly at Aubrey, then heard the emperor's voice softly:

"You already have your suspicions, don't you?"

"Then go find him."

Aubrey walked back to the bench, turned around, and gave Gwen a aningful look:

"As a knight, never doubt yourself."

Hearing these words, Gwen raised her head again, with a glimr of realization in her eyes.

"I understand."

She turned around and mounted her horse again.

Watching Gwen ride away hurriedly from the palace, the emperor sat back down on the bench.

After a while, Aurelianne erged from the garden, accompanied by a servant.

She was holding a flower crown in her hands.

"Father!"

Aurelianne was very happy as she reached out and placed the flower crown on Aubrey's head.

Aubrey looked at her with doting eyes and chuckled happily.

Then, Aurelianne asked curiously:

"Father, did soone co by just now?"

She had noticed the flattened marks left on the grass where soone had stepped, and quickly deduced this.

Aubrey nodded and said:

"Yes, your teacher was just here."

Aurelianne was curious:

"Was it Teacher Gwen?"

"But today isn't her scheduled lesson."

Aubrey smiled:

"Well then, tell ."

"Who should be teaching you today?"

But in the next mont, Aurelianne froze, furrowed her brows, yet couldn't recall.

"Father."

"I seem to have forgotten soone very important."

Hearing this, Aubrey smiled contentedly:

"Child."

"When you realize this,"

"It ans that person has beco irreplaceable in your heart."

Aurelianne looked at Aubrey sowhat confused:

"Father, do you rember who that person is?"

"Of course."

Aubrey reached out and patted Aurelianne's head.

"No one has ever managed to make forget anything."

...

In the mirror, the world around was completely silent.

Dust swirled with howling cyclones across the boundless wasteland, spiraling up towards the gloomy black sky.

Various broken weapons were embedded in the ground, all showing signs of desolation.

Viktor's expression remained calm, his entire deanor composed and at ease.

Not even a speck of dust had settled on his coat.

Around him lay fallen bodies, pierced by various weapons, scattered in disarray.

The Mirror Demon's eyes trembled as it looked at Viktor:

"Monster..."

"You must be a monster!"

Ti had passed indefinitely, and Viktor had slain countless enemies.

Endless waves.

The Mirror Demon had copied out all the people it had encountered in its hundreds of years.

But when facing Viktor, they only had one path - death.

Not one of them could last even ten seconds before him.

He was truly a living monster.

anwhile, Viktor slightly lowered his eyebrows.

Looking at his experience bar at level 45 about to fill up, about to break through to the next level.

Then, he slowly raised his head, looking at the huge mirror before him, and smiled faintly:

"Shall we continue?"

"I can keep fighting with you for an entire day."
