Chapter 88 – Did you get the entire family of three, grandpa? (2)

“That works. Why don’t you take this over to share with all the uncles first? I will let you know when the fish are ready.”

Lin Yiyi pulled out an extra large paper plate and was just about to put all the at from the grill on it when she saw out of the corners of her eyes a young man looking straight at her…

At the at in her hands.

With an adult standing there like that, she couldn’t even pretend that she didn’t see him.

Finally, it was Mr. Gu who gave him a couple skewers and said to him, “Are you being gluttonous like those old n too, Xiao Lu? Here, have a couple.”

As though he wasn’t gluttonous himself.

Naturally, he wouldn’t give him more than a couple. Had he given him more, there wouldn’t be enough left for the rest of them.

Lu Xun smiled a little.

It’s getting toward the afternoon tea ti already.

Plus, fishing is hard work and they have already been sitting there for most of the day. How could they not be hungry?

He didn’t even care about the food being burning hot and bit right into it. Delectable aroma imdiately filled his mouth.

The at, after being barbecued and smoked by the charcoals and with the added condints and spices, beca even more flavorful. They were crispy, fresh, savory, tender and lted away imdiately in his mouth. The flavor of the at bounced around on his tongue before sliding into his stomach.

Lu Xun wasn’t the only one. All the others who were there dropped their fishing poles one by one and ca running over to Mr. Gu. They worried that if they didn’t get there early enough, they wouldn’t even be able to get a bite of the grilled at.

Even the more conservative ones who wanted to maintain their image still sat there with their fishing pole in one hand and skewed at in the other.

And this was how fishing, the very zen-like activity, was imdiately violated by the aromatic barbeque.

When Lin Yiyi saw Mr. Gu being surrounded by all the others, she smiled at the sight before looking down at the water bucket.

None of the fish in the bucket was very big in size, at most the size of an adult’s palm. There weren’t much at on them, but they’d certainly taste amazing.

She grabbed a couple and started preparing them.

“Would you like so help?” The man’s deep voice ca again from above her.

Surprised, Lin Yiyi looked up and asked, “Why are you still here?”

The resentnt in her voice….

Was so refreshing!

Mr. Lu, who hasn’t been resented by anyone for a long ti pretended that he didn’t hear her.

He took the opportunity to squat down next to her and also grabbed a fish like she did.

He had no idea why the fish in his hand was much different than the one in hers.

He witnessed how she had accurately grabbed a fish out and placed it on the temporary work surface. The fish was so docile in her hands….

When he tried to grab one, the slippery fish flipped straight out of his hand and landed right back into a bucket of water with a splatter.

“Hah!”That was the snickering coming for the little wolf cub.

Ever since he had walked over, the boy had never taken his eyes off of him, as though he was guarding against a wolf or sothing.

How interesting!

Lu Xun wasn’t upset over that. He said to him, “Everyone has areas that they are good at and areas that they aren’t. I might not be good at cooking, but I am good at fishing.”

As he was saying that, he looked at the boy and carried on, “Well, kid, you want to make a bet?”
