Chapter 181 – Just that one step, and it was already too late to back out (2)
When ng Shanshan started pointing toward Free Fall and before she said a word, the two boys’ hearts skipped a beat imdiately. They both had a bad feeling!
Lin Yiyi took a look at the two of them and suddenly had a an suggestion. “It’s too tiring to get onto each and every single ride. Why don’t we take turns accompanying her?”
Lu Xun truly enjoyed these types of thrill rides, so he volunteered to accompany the little girl.
A man going on these rides by himself would attract too much attention, but it was much more legitimate if he was accompanying a child.
Lin Yiyi ignored him and looked over at the two boys. “One of you can go as well. No need to fight, there’s plenty of opportunities for everyone~”
ng Yuran’s mouth twitched.
He pretended to be the generous one and said, “I’ve done too many of these in the past already. I think he should go.”
Lu Mingzhe held out better than him. At least, one wouldn’t be able to tell from his look.
Just watching the others on there was enough to make his knees feel weak. And now he has to get on it?
He saw the mocking look on ng Yuran. Then, he noticed the eager look from ng Shanshan as though she was eagerly awaiting him to nod.
And, inexplicably, he was moved by the little girl’s look and took a step forward. Just that one step, and it was already too late to back out.
He was pushed by his uncle to go stand in line. When he looked back, he could see the smiling Lin Yiyi and ng Yuran, who looked like he couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next.
All the way until it was their turn, Lu Mingzhe had no idea how he had gotten on to the ride and buckled himself in.
Lin Yiyi, her hands crossed in front of her, looked over at her instant son and teased, “I almost sent you on there. Is your little heart still throbbing?”
What was with that mocking tone?
She was his real mother alright!
ng Yuran hrumped. It was difficult to tell whether it was from contempt or disgruntlent.
That being said, looking at the pretentious Lu Mingzhe a bit distant from them with his face stiff, ng Yuran felt much better.
Free Fall, aka the jump off machine.
This ride would take the riders high up before dropping them straight down at free falling speed.
The mont of 0 G was even more exciting than the Pirate Boat.
Lu Mingzhe felt that his legs were rubbery when he got out of the ride.
The little girl, on the other hand, seed unsatisfied.
She had already spotted the roller coaster by now.
The looks on the two boys contrasted with the excitent on her face.
ng Yuran took the first stab. Looking over at Lu Mingzhe, he said, “It’s not too late to say that you are frightened now.”
If Lu Mingzhe was the one who said it first, it wouldn’t be as embarrassing for him to say the sa. And he would be able to preserve his face. That was the idea going through ng Yuran’s mind.
Low and behold, Lu Mingzhe wasn’t going to be the first to reveal weakness.
With his arms crossed in front of him, he glanced over at ng Yuran and said, “As though you weren’t the one who backed out of the Free Fall earlier.”
ng Yuran stared at him coldly.
Lu Mingzhe stared right back at him without being intimidated.
The two were at each other’s throats, and neither one wanted to be the first to appear weak.
Finally, Lin Yiyi, finding the last shred of her conscience, clapped her hands to get the attention of the two boys who were staring at each other so intensely that nobody could get between the two of them.
“Why don’t we have lunch first~” Lin Yiyi suggested conscientiously. “Our Shanshan must be hungry by now.”
The little girl’s eyes lit up at the talk of food. “I want chicken wings, and a hotdog….”
Seeing that ng Shanshan had been distracted, the two boys couldn’t help but let out a sigh of relief.
Then, before they felt completely relieved, they heard the little girl said, “Then we can go on the roller coaster~”
