Lu Mingzhe had already received the call from his uncle.
Truth was, he didn’t care too much about going to the amusent park initially.
But, the thought of being with the Lin’s gave him a strong urge to want to blend in and beco a part of them.
The Lin’s family seed to get along particularly well when they were together.
Let it be the mother-and-son, mother-and-daughter, brother-and-sister, or even the grandparents and grandchildren relationships, they all seed like they were bound together tightly by many invisible strings.
As much as he didn’t care about the nit-picking and stuck-up ng Yuran, Lu Mingzhe was definitely envious of him.
Lu Mingzhe was waiting outside of the mansion with all sorts of random thoughts when a familiar-looking Bentley pulled up in front of him.
The car window rolled down, and the woman’s stunning face appeared in front of him.
“Get inside the car, Zhe.”
Lu Mingzhe pursed his lips and climbed into the passenger seat.
A chance to be alone with Lin Yiyi had never happened before.
On their way, it was very quiet inside of the car.
Lin Yiyi tried her best to force the idea of Lu Mingzhe ruining the lives of her two children out of her mind. She forced herself to smile and looked for sothing to talk about to make it seem less awkward. “Your little uncle has already picked up Little Yuran and Shanshan. We are going to et up with them.”
She got a nonchalant “Mmm” for a response.
Knowing that he has always been a quiet person plus being used to ng Yuran, that did not bother her too much.
“Have you been to Adventure Land before? I have never been…”
The awkward conversation went on until an abrupt question ca from Lu Mingzhe. “Do you not like ?”
Startled, Lin Yiyi slamd on the breaks.
It was lucky that there were no cars behind them; otherwise, they might have gotten into a car accident!
As Lin Yiyi tried to calm herself down, she started inching forward with her car again.
For an inexplicable reason, she reflexively wanted to dodge this question. “Why do you ask?”
This ti, Lu Mingzhe did not say anything.
His parents were gone. As strong as he was, he was still a sensitive teenager.
As much as the feeling of dislike wasn’t strong, it was still noticeable over ti.
The car continued on the road, but the stuffy atmosphere inside the car did not improve.
After a long while, Lin Yiyi finally broke the silence. “I just felt that you and Little Yuran don’t get along very well…”
Lu Mingzhe had not expected an explanation.
He looked over at her, surprised. It was impossible to read his mind from his calm look.
“I feel that it’s best to minimize the contact between those who don’t get along… You think that I am being selfish, but I don’t want to see Little Yuran and Shanshan hurt.”
Lin Yiyi couldn’t explain it herself but part of the burden on her seed to have been lifted after she had said that out loud.
The car pulled slowly into the parking lot. Lin Yiyi found a spot and parked the car.
Right when she opened up the car door and was about to get out, she heard the young man’s clear voice, “It won’t happen.”
Lu Mingzhe said in a weighty voice, “I won’t let them get hurt.”
He looked straight at her, and she could only see determination in his eyes.
Lin Yiyi was stunned all of a sudden.
Promises were worthless.
But, at that very mont, Lin Yiyi did not doubt his determination.
She couldn’t even believe it herself that the sincerity in a 13-year-old boy’s promise would touch her.
She must admit that she trusted him.
The boy looked at her stubbornly.
He was still waiting for an answer from her.
Just when he was about to be disappointed, a soft and warm hand rubbed his head.
Lin Yiyi felt only fluffiness and softness on her palm. And her heart had never felt so soft before.
She didn’t need to say anything. Her actions had already expressed her trust in him.
Lu Mingzhe didn’t hate that feeling at all.
This was the first ti soone his senior had shown him affection… He couldn’t help but want more of this warmth.
As for his little uncle… Lu Mingzhe had smartly forgot all about his goofy little uncle!
Lu Xun and the Lin’s siblings just got out of their car before they saw the two inside the white Bentley.
That very mont, both Lu Xun and ng Yuran tacitly stared at Lu Mingzhe’s head…
