Chapter 164 – When Lu Mingzhe saw ng Yuran, he was so startled that the book fell out of his hand (2)
They wrapped up their fishing trip in the afternoon and headed back to shore, then they headed to the hotel that they had booked.
Let it be ocean fishing or sight-seeing, this area was very popular because of its close proximity to the ocean. Lodging was very difficult to find on the day of unless it was booked in advance.
The sky and the ocean joined together and there was a gentle breeze. Fishing only took half a day and Mr. Gu Chengyi, who hadn’t gotten enough of a fix yet, was still grumbling, “We didn’t fish for very long today. We will have to co again next ti.”
His words attracted a look from Ms. Lin Ping.
She was getting tired of his passion for fishing. She had already forgotten the excitent when she had gotten the first fish of her life.
That being said, she couldn’t have done it without the help of that Lu’s kid.
She had always had a soft spot for the child and now her fondness for him had gone up even more.
She still had her arm around him when they were in the hotel lobby. Anyone who didn’t know any better would think they were grandparent and grandchild.
Lu Mingzhe was good at this. He had already conquered the most difficult person at the Lu’s.
“We have a total of 4 rooms.”
Lu Xun had the keys of the connected rooms. He handed the first one to Ms. Lin Ping and Mr. Gu Chengyi and the second one to Lin Yiyi. “This one is for you and Shanshan. Zhe and Little Yuran will be in one room. And I will be in my own room.”
ng Yuran and Lu Mingzhe both frowned when they heard the arrangent.
They looked up, exchanged a look, and turned their heads to the opposite sides simultaneously as though they had coordinated it.
When the group walked inside of the elevator, Lu Mingzhe finally said to Lu Xun, “Why don’t I stay in the sa room with you, Uncle.”
Lu Xun looked at him, puzzled.
ng Yuran decided to put in his two cents worth. “I would like to have my own room as well.”
“No!” It was Lin Yiyi who objected to that. “You are still a grade school student. I don’t feel comfortable with you being alone in a room.”
No matter how mature and organized he was, he was still a minor!
As much as Lin Yiyi wasn’t a big fan of Lu Mingzhe, she must admit that she’d feel better with the two of them being in the sa room.
Cri rate wasn’t super high, but there were still cases of kidnapping and human trafficking. What if they were targeted and kidnapped? That made her worry.
Lu Mingzhe wasn’t her responsibility, but she must make sure her own child was safe.
Lin Yiyi looked over at Lu Xun.
She couldn’t possibly make him turn his back on his own nephew and have him stay with her son…
ng Yuran’s mouth twitched and he said, “I’m already in first grade of middle school!”
“You’re still a child.”
Apparently, Ms. Lin Ping and Lin Yiyi saw eye to eye on this one.
It’d look like ng Yuran’s suggestion had been denied.
ng Yuran pursed his lips unhappily.
Lu Mingzhe wasn’t all that happy either.
The two young boys walked inside of the hotel room one after the other.
One of them walked inside of the bathroom and closed the sliding door. Instantly, the two of them were separated.
The other one put down his bag and claid the bed next to the window.
This modern hotel was built on an island and was only 4-story tall. Its area was quite sizable and had floor-to-ceiling windows on all four sides.
The décors inside of the hotel were very grand. There was even an entertainnt area on the rooftop.
Lu Mingzhe pulled out a book, leaned up against the head of the bed, and started reading it with one arm behind his head.
After a little while, ng Yuran walked out of the bathroom.
When he ca out, he had a facial mask.
“It’s windy by the ocean and it’s harsh on the skin. I’ve brought masks for both your sister and I and a few for you as well.” That’s what his mother had said.
At the ti, ng Yuran thought it was stupid. Who would use these won’s items?
And then, his face was all dried out from the wind. He regretted not listening to his mother and didn’t even have facial lotion with him!
His face felt very dry and coarse, almost like it was peeling and felt very uncomfortable.
Lin Yiyi reminded him to use the facial mask when they were in the lobby; otherwise he’d feel even more uncomfortable in the middle of the night.
Faced with discomfort, as a delicate boy…
The rejuvenating mask felt very cool and refreshing on his skin and was very comfortable!
He walked straight out of the bathroom just like that, feeling invigorated. When Lu Mingzhe saw ng Yuran, he was so startled that the book fell out of his hand.
