This was Lu Mingzhe’s first ti visiting the Lin’s.
It was quite a refreshing experience. He wasn’t surprised that he’d run into ng Yuran here at all…
He had, after all, seen Lin Yiyi putting her arm around this young man outside of the international school with his own eyes.
ng Yuran, much like he was right now, did not show much emotions. However, Lu Mingzhe was able to tell that suppressed joy hidden underneath that nonchalant look.
He was quite envious of that!
Comparison brought about hurt.
When Lu Mingzhe went ho and saw that stupid look on his little uncle, his look of resentnt was obvious.
And if his little uncle was sohow lucky enough to marry Lin Yiyi… Then their house would be just like the Lin’s.
They were both mansions, but the Lin’s one seed particularly lively.
Lu Mingzhe looked down and he t a pair of big, round eyes. The little girl was looking at him with curiosity written all over her face.
The little girl smiled at him imdiately when their eyes locked. Her smile was sweet and her dimples sowhat visible. She was delicate and fairly lovable. This was the first ti in his entire life that Lu Mingzhe wanted to have a clingy and whiny little sister like her.
Finally, the uncle and nephew duo were invited to stay for dinner. They were invited enthusiastically by Mr. Gu.
Granted, there was Ms. Lin Ping’s implicit blessing behind it.
Ms. Lin Ping had high hopes for her future son-in-law. She preferred soone who was better looking than ng guy, made more money than him, a better family man, and most importantly, faithful to Lin Yiyi.
The biggest problem that was currently presented to her was that her daughter was too much of an introvert! Nevermind about any male friends, even the mosquitos were females!
Lu Xun was the only one who stumbled onto her. As her mother, it was her duty to pick on him so.
His looks… It was alright.
His inco… Acceptable.
Even his EQ wasn’t much better than that of Lin Yiyi!
That made Ms. Lin Ping a bit worried. Putting these two together, their progress was very worriso to those around them.
The atmosphere was odd surrounding the dinner table.
Lin Yiyi gave Lu Xun an awkward look and occasionally sneaked peek over at Lu Mingzhe, stealthily observing this male lead in the original novel.
As Ms. Lin Ping’s main purpose was to study and learn about Lu Xun, naturally she would not be eating dinner quietly but to ask him questions here and there…
Questions such as what other family mbers did he have. Oh, just the nephew, but that was good; without other random relatives, there wouldn’t be a lot of hassles either.
Then, she asked about his company. How much did he make annually? She also subtly asked about his past romance.
Even Lu Mingzhe was busy fielding a few questions as Ms. Lin Ping would, inevitably, ask about him now and then.
Whether it was a girl in her teens or an old lady in her 50s or 60s, they all gravitated toward young and pretty little boys.
As much as Ms. Lin Ping was not completely satisfied with this and that about Lu Xun, she still quite like Lu Mingzhe.
ng Yuran was about the one with the worst mood of all. Ever since the two Lu n ca over to their ho, he hasn’t looked very happy in front of them.
Then again, ng Yuran was generally expressionless around the house, so everybody was already used to it and nobody paid him much attention.
Everybody’s attention was diverted to this Lu Mingzhe kid!
First, it was his foolish little sister, now it’s his grandma and grandpa…
ng Yuran took a look at his mother and noticed that his mother, too, was sneaking peeks over at Lu Mingzhe!
ng Yuran, “……”
He lowered his head and started eating forcefully.
It’s best if he stopped looking at it altogether!
ng Shanshan and Gu Chengyi were the only ones who were focused on eating their dinner.
During the dinner, Lin Yiyi stepped away to answer a call.
As soon as she stepped away, Ms. Lin Ping imdiately asked Lu Xun without holding back, “Mr. Xu, you are already in your 30s. Do you have a girlfriend? Most people your age already have kids old enough to go buy soy sauce.”
Ain’t that the truth? Speaking of, Lin Yiyi was just one year older than him and Little Yuran was already 13 years old!
That was a very blunt question, indeed.
