With just one sentence, the woman was left completely dumbfounded.

For so reason, it reminded her of an experience she had not too long ago.

A few months earlier, she had been sent on a business trip by her company. After getting off the plane, she checked into a small inn. Not long after, soone called her room and asked if she needed a handso guy.

She declined. But the voice on the other end said the guy could last a full hour and only charged two hundred bucks.

That pissed her off—she didn’t believe for a second that any man could actually last an hour.

Yet she ordered one anyway, out of spite.

Ten minutes later, the guy showed up... and before ten minutes even passed, he was the one who left behind the two hundred yuan and walked out.

Fuck!

And now, standing before her, this Veil guy sohow seed even less reliable than the man from that agency!

What a scamr!

She knew exactly what her husband was like in bed. At best, five minutes—no, it wasn’t even that. It was just regular epilepsy.

He’d simply forgotten to take his dication before going out today. Give it so ti, and he’d be fine on his own.

How could things be as serious as this guy was claiming? Saying it couldn’t be cured and the only solution was to burn the body?

"Absurd!"

Caden Voss snorted coldly and stepped forward. This woman might be afraid of Veil, but he wasn’t. He stood up straight, expression grim. "You clearly don’t understand dicine, so stop spouting nonsense. This is clearly just a case of ordinary epilepsy. With a bit of acupuncture, his condition can be eased and he’ll co around. What are you scaring people for?"

He spoke confidently, and many of the bystanders nodded in agreent. It sounded plausible to them.

"This young man seems to know what he’s doing. Try stabilizing the patient before the ambulance arrives."

"Yeah, don’t waste ti. He’s making sense."

"Let him treat the patient!"

"..."

More and more voices chid in from the crowd.

The woman glanced around and then looked at her husband, still convulsing with his eyes rolled back. Fear crept into her heart. What if sothing really happened?

She hesitated, then finally nodded.

Caden Voss stepped up to the patient, glanced at Veil coldly, and said, "Step aside. Give the patient so space to breathe."

"What’s that supposed to an? Maybe we’re not experts, but we ant well! Why are you being so aggressive?"

Lisa tugged Veil’s arm and stepped protectively in front of him, her brows furrowing. She didn’t know why, but she snapped back instinctively.

"Hmph! I can’t be bothered with you people," Caden Voss sneered.

Deep down, he was irritated. Won in big cities were all shallow and materialistic. Not a shred of good taste among them.

He was the heir of a true dical legacy and skilled in martial arts. How could soone like Veil compare?

No vision, that’s what they had.

Still, his pride quickly cald him. Lisa was beautiful, sure, but there were plenty of gorgeous won in the world. One day, soone worthy would fall for him—he didn’t need to envy anyone.

He crouched beside the man, took out a pouch of silver needles, and started inserting them into the patient’s scalp. One after another, the needles soon covered the man’s forehead like a tal forest.

"Impressive! He’s young, but the speed and precision of his needlework—like flowing water. You’d need decades of experience to pull that off!"

"Yeah, I’ve seen the old miracle doctor in Veyport City, and even he wasn’t that fast."

"Seems like this young man really wasn’t bluffing. He’s got skill."

"..."

Caden Voss really was a child of destiny. Even treating a random patient on the street, there were always so people around to sing his praises.

The crowd was becoming more convinced.

Soon, he withdrew the needles one by one. The man’s convulsions eased. His pale face started to regain so color, and the tremors in his lips gradually stopped.

"Mmm..."

The man stirred, then slowly opened his eyes. After a pause, he asked in confusion, "What... what happened to ?"

Seeing this, Caden Voss said nothing. He stood up and turned to leave.

A miracle doctor descending the mountain, healing the sick—this was all par for the course. He had more important things to do, like eting Sierra Davenport from the Davenport family. He didn’t have ti to linger here.

The shrewish woman helped her husband to his feet, still shaken. "You heartless bastard! You scared the hell out of . You were twitching on the ground like you were dying!

Thank god that young miracle doctor stepped in. He didn’t even say a word and just left. What a good man... I misjudged him earlier."

"Mmm..."

But just as the man was helped up and asked his question, his face twisted. He choked suddenly, his throat convulsing—

And then, splat—a mouthful of bright red blood sprayed directly onto the woman’s face.

His breath weakened in an instant. With the woman too stunned to react, his body went limp and toppled backward.

"Fuck! That scared the shit out of !"

Soone in the crowd shouted, and everyone felt a chill run down their spines.

The woman finally snapped out of her daze and pointed at the still-nearby Caden Voss, screaming, "Don’t let him get away! He’s a fraud!"

The hotel security guards weren’t pushovers either. They quickly blocked the exits. But in truth, Caden Voss hadn’t even tried to flee. Completely baffled, he turned around and walked back voluntarily.

He stared at the man lying on the ground, his expression tightening. He hadn’t expected this at all.

Veil stepped forward, looking regretful as he patted Caden Voss on the shoulder like a seasoned peer.

"Young man, I warned you already. I said he should’ve been taken away and burned. But you just had to play hero..."

"There’s a lot of depth to the world of dicine. It’s not sothing you can just dive into lightly..."

WEE-OOO—WEE-OOO—

Two urgent sirens wailed from down the street.

An ambulance and a police cruiser were speeding toward the hotel—one to save lives, the other to investigate.

The hotel manager, having seen the earlier chaos, had called both ergency services just in case.

The paradics and police—led by Officer Harvey—burst into the lobby with grim expressions.

A doctor quickly checked the man’s eyes and scowled. "Who the hell stuck all these needles in the patient’s head? You think acupuncture is a ga? This is nonsense. Now the patient’s in critical condition and might not make it!"

The shrewish woman wasted no ti. She spun around and pointed at Caden Voss and Veil. "It was him! That guy jabbed a hundred needles into my husband’s forehead like he was making a damn pincushion! Scared the hell out of !"

Officer Harvey stord up to Veil, face dark. "You again? You’re involved in this too?"

But the nearby Caden Voss was overlooked entirely—Harvey instinctively assud Veil was the culprit.

Veil shrugged and didn’t bother responding to Harvey’s accusation. Instead, he calmly raised his hand and pointed at Caden Voss.

"Officer, I’d like to report this man for practicing dicine without a license."

Ding! "Destiny Child Caden Voss has lost 500 Destiny Points. Congratulations, Host. You’ve gained 10,000 Villain Points."

Ding! "Destiny Child Caden Voss is utterly confused by the Host. Congratulations, Host. You’ve gained 2,000 Villain Points."

"..."

"I—" Caden Voss tried to explain, but before he could get a word out, Veil cut him off with a sneer. "You what? Do you even have a dical license?"

Caden took a deep breath, trying to stay calm. "Fine. You say I don’t have a license—but you intervened too. Do you have one?"

Just by looking at Veil, it was obvious he wasn’t a professional. He’d talked about burning a man alive without a second thought. This guy? A proper doctor? Please. He was clearly just so reckless punk playing tough.

The kind of person who barked like a stray dog and contributed nothing of value.

"Do you have a license?" Harvey turned and looked at Veil as well.

She was determined to take Caden Voss in for questioning, but if there was any excuse to bring Veil along too, she wasn’t about to miss it.

"You sound like your brain’s gone rotten."

Before Veil could even respond, Lisa stepped forward with a roll of her eyes. "This guy literally just admitted he’s practicing dicine without a license, and instead of arresting him, you’re turning around and falsely accusing my boyfriend?"

Lisa had always been fiercely protective, and seeing Veil being treated unfairly instantly ignited her fire.

Harvey scoffed coldly. "Watch your mouth, or I’ll have you charged with insulting a public official."

Still, with bystanders watching, she finally motioned for her agents to detain Caden Voss.

Her tone remained icy. "We’ll investigate his unauthorized practice—but Veil’s also under suspicion."

"What’s that supposed to an?" Lisa pointed directly at Caden, her voice rising. "My boyfriend didn’t even treat that guy! He just checked his pulse and said there was sothing wrong and that we should burn him—everyone here heard it! What’s that got to do with him, huh?"

"It’s this idiot who ignored my boyfriend’s warning and insisted on doing things his way. Now look at the result! He brought this all on himself. Don’t co here trying to pin this on Veil. If you don’t stop slandering him, I’ll sue you for defamation!"

But Harvey wasn’t backing down. "Veil is still a suspect. He’ll have to co with us."

She was clearly picking a fight. After getting shut down by Lyra in the interrogation room last ti, Harvey had been itching for payback—and now she had a reason.

"I’d like to see you try!" Lisa spread her arms like a mother hen guarding her chicks, shielding Veil behind her. Her eyes flared wide with fury, and even the pair of "sleepy bunnies" on her chest jiggled with righteous indignation.

"Lisa..."

Veil finally spoke, his voice calm.

At the sound of his voice, Lisa’s domineering presence vanished in an instant. When she t his gaze, she obediently backed down and stepped quietly to his side, suddenly soft and docile, like a little kitten.

"When did I ever say I didn’t have a dical license?"

Veil pulled out his phone and tapped into an official governnt website.

Seriously, who carries paper licenses around anymore? It’s the digital age—everything’s online.

He pulled up his certified digital ID, complete with registration number and credentials, and held it up in front of Harvey with a pleasant smile. "Want to verify it yourself? Do I still need to go with you?"

Harvey narrowed her eyes at the screen, then shifted her gaze back to Veil. After a long breath, she turned and barked at her team, "Pack it up. We’re leaving."

Lisa stared at Veil’s sharp side profile with a hint of suspicion. "Wait... You really know dicine?"

"Nope."

"Then where’d you get that dical license?"

"I bought it."

Caden Voss and Harvey, who hadn’t walked far, both stumbled at his response and nearly fell flat on their faces.

He bought it?

He bought it?!

And yet, even if Harvey wanted to turn back and arrest him now, she couldn’t. All she had was his comnt—and she couldn’t use that to discredit an official, verified license on a governnt database.

Ding! "Destiny Female Harvey has experienced an intense emotional fluctuation. Congratulations, Host. You’ve gained 800 Villain Points."

Ding! "Destiny Child Caden Voss’s hostility has risen. Congratulations, Host. You’ve gained 2,000 Villain Points."

"..."

Listening to the steady stream of system notifications, Veil couldn’t help but marvel.

No wonder they called these people Children of Destiny. They were literal villain-point factories.

Others gave him a few hundred at most, but these guys? Thousands at a ti.

At this rate—

Nope. Veil reminded himself: he was a straight guy.

"That lady cop seems to have it out for you," Daisy said, watching the ambulance take away the man who had been coughing up blood, and the shrewish woman getting loaded into a police car along with Caden. "She’s been gunning for you all day. Did sothing happen between you two?"

Lisa nodded in agreent.

Veil shrugged. "Maybe it was love at first sight. She saw standing here with two gorgeous won and got jealous. Now she wants to take to a little black room for so one-on-one ti."

If Heaven wants to destroy soone, it first drives them mad.

If Harvey was set on picking a fight, let her. After today, she wouldn’t get many more chances to act like she ruled the world.

By evening, Veil took both ladies to catch a movie and wind down.

Later, he even treated them to a luxurious bath—mixed bathing, of course. Just the three of them.

The steamy mist rose from the hot spring pool. Lisa and Daisy sat side by side, looking dazzling in the warm haze.

Veil patted the smooth stone next to him and smiled at Lisa. "Long day, huh? Co over here. Let this licensed miracle doctor give you a massage."

Lisa had been chatting with Daisy, but the mont she heard him, she shot through the water like a rmaid, splashing softly as she swam toward Veil and laid herself across the stone beside him.

Because of her figure, Lisa’s belly didn’t quite touch the surface, so she was suspended slightly, making her extra sensitive to pressure when getting massaged.

Daisy watched the sweet, flirty scene unfold before her and felt a surge of bitterness.

She could handle being force-fed dog food at dinner.

But now, during bath ti too?

Enough was enough!

She couldn’t take it anymore!

"Fine! You two enjoy yourselves! I’m going to cool off before I explode!" Daisy huffed and stomped out of the hot spring pool, dripping with indignation.

Lisa opened her mouth to call after her, but in the end, said nothing.

Ding! "Congratulations, Host. You’ve gained 1,000 Villain Points."
