The fla wall Ross created wasn't ant to attack, but to act as a cover for him to escape the encirclent. He did not have ti to worry about the others who would be caught up in the flas' path.
Once the fla wall spread out to cover his figure from the approaching void creatures, he ran towards it himself. Since the ability was powered by his mana, he was immune to the flas.
Furthermore, as a fire user, he inherently develops resistance to high heat. With this, he disappeared into the fla wall that drew closer and closer to the void creatures.
Naturally, the creatures weren't going to blaze right through the wall of flas. They promptly evaded the fla wall once it got close to them.
So flew higher, others backed away and the rest unleashed their own attacks that clashed with the fla wall.
BOOOM!
The clash produced a loud explosion that added to the already ongoing explosions around. However, Ross had gotten the chance he wanted. He ran in the direction of the void creatures that floated higher, creating a space for him to escape.
WHOOOSH!
His figure sped out of the fla wall with his body covered in the sa flas. He was like a malevolent fiery god that ca from the fiery depths of hell, his eyes lit up in fury.
As soon as the void creatures noticed his running figure, they turned around and went after him. Ross didn't have ti to worry about the coming void creatures as the path he was moving towards had a bunch of students fighting void creatures.
'I don't have ti to waste on fighting, but I doubt these damn creatures will allow to pass freely.'
"Watch out!"
Ross called out loudly to get the attention of the fighting students ahead of him, and when they spared a bit of their attention to him, they noticed his approaching form with several void creatures hot on his tail.
What's more, the creatures were preparing for another beaming attack. The beast-like ones resulted in their claws and fangs as they speedily chased after Ross.
"Oh shit! Move!" The student who was less occupied and saw what was coming yelled to notify the others. The others didn't delay a second and as soon as they pushed the other void creatures back, they jumped out of the way.
Ross was again caught up in an encirclent he just got out of! The ones behind him were hot on his tail and the ones before him were now turning towards him.
'Fuck! This is what you get for trying to be nice!' He cussed his bad luck as his mind spun quickly to co up with a solution.
There wasn't much leeway for rest as everyone was either busy evading attacks or throwing out their own. Ross looked back a bit to get a clear picture of what the creatures behind him were doing and saw them preparing for another attack.
With gritted teeth and a roar of defiance, he perford so swift hand movents and created a ball of fire in his right hand. He did not use it the instant he created it and allowed it to absorb more mana from him.
There were only about 160 tres of distance between him and the void creatures. As soon as it decreased to about 90 tres, he leapt into the air to a height of about 120 tres above everything.
One may wonder how high were the walls of the labyrinth if this was the fourth floor as it had other floors on top of it. Each floor of the Convergence Maze existed in a separate space from the others and was connected via the exit and entry points to the other floors.
'Let's hope this works.'
This was a gamble he was taking, but he had no other choice. His actions caught the attention of most of the students and void creatures nearby, prompting so of the creatures to roar and screech in his direction.
The students, on the other hand, saw the fireball in his hand and understood he was about to do sothing drastic causing them to scramble out of the way.
Ross raised the fireball in his hand that he fed a lot of his mana and then threw it towards the ground.
From the ti he warned those students of the approaching void creatures to his leap into the air, not more than 3 seconds had elapsed. It all happened so fast…
BOOOOOOOOOM!
The fireball reached the ground and unleashed its contained power. The entire space shook violently as the flas from the explosion incinerated the void creatures in its path and the shockwave sent the rest flying at high speeds.
"Fuck you!"
"Are you crazy? Can't you see us around?!"
The students who were affected by his attack cussed him from their place on the ground. If they hadn't abandoned whatever they were doing to get out of his path of the fire, they would have died, and so even had their armour damaged.
This caused them to break cold sweat on their backs. So were angry at his actions and were ready to give Ross a piece of their mind when he reached the ground.
In one move, Ross had eliminated more than 20 void creatures. The shockwaves had injured so and the observant students didn't miss this opportunity and killed them.
Once the explosion subsided and Ross touched the ground, the students who had a bit of leeway went towards him.
"Hey, asshole, watch where you unleash your abilities. You could have killed sobody." A male student rebuked, teeming with unrepressed anger.
Ross was not paying attention to the student's outburst as he was trying to catch his breath when he heard soone call his na.
"Hey Ross, you could have given us a warning you know?" One of them who Ross recognized as Philip Lasmid from his class spoke. While he was also a bit upset, once he recognized the person, his anger dissipated as Ross was a person he respected.
"Huh? You know him?" The angry student asked. "Yeah, he's my classmate and a close friend of Alexander Gray," Philip replied with a wry smile.
