Chapter 234: Chapter 5: Rebuilding_2

The right to deal with the Light Mage was ultimately obtained by Kor, after all, in this land, Kor was the true master. The promise he made to the magicians to erase all the mories of the Light Mage and train her to be a true believer of Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, was sothing the magicians were looking forward to with anticipation. It sounded like a highly challenging task; even Rebry and Mihailovich lacked such confidence, but the young lord seed to be full of it.

The expedition’s fruitful return surprised everyone, especially Puber and Ilot, who had not expected such a considerable gain from this adventure. Although the temporary borrowing of those treasures by the magicians and Dark Knights pained Puber greatly, he thought it a fair trade considering that these magicians would stay in the Caucasus for a long ti, and even attract more of their colleagues to reside there.

What made Ilot enviously green was the equipnt that the two Dark Knights had obtained. Fortunately, there was more than just the Dark Sword forged from Ghostly Sand and the Anti-magic Armor suitable for Knights among the hidden treasures. A Secret Devil Spear with a significant history, crafted by the Dwarves from the Sayan Mountains region in the South, was sothing Ilot from the Ilot Garon Province treasured dearly. The Devil’s Iron Ore unique to the Sayan Mountains, although not Magic tal, possessed composite properties similar to certain Magic tals. Weapons forged from the processed iron of this ore were able to effectively combine with the Fighting Qi attributes of the user, allowing the Fighting Qi abilities to be maximized. Although they did not enhance the Fighting Qi power as many envisioned, even a slight improvent in combat could sotis beco a decisive factor that dominated the outco of a fight. Therefore, weapons made from the Iron Ore of this region had always been favored by many Knights and warriors.

Regrettably, the land of the Sayan Mountains was treacherous, with difficult access and low yields from the mines producing Devil’s Iron Ore, most of which were poor ore with many impurities and challenging to slt and refine. The mines easy to exploit had been exhausted a hundred years ago, and although many prospectors were still searching in the Sayan Mountains, there had been no significant progress. In fact, the ore was effectively out of production, leading to the prices of weapons forged from this type of ore skyrocketing in the market for high-end weapons and constantly being in short supply.

The Secret Devil Spear was an excellent weapon forged by the dwarfs from this Devil’s Iron Ore, and although not as precious as the Dark Sword cast from Ghostly Sand, this exceptionally stable heavy weapon seed more suitable for Ilot who had made substantial progress in Martial Arts. Especially when used for charging on the Battlefield, this weapon was much more useful than smaller weapons ant for personal duels. Obtaining such a fine piece, Ilot was already completely satisfied. To him, it seed as if the weapon had been tailor-made for him.

In the dark Practice room, a faint halo of light slowly rose, and Kor watched with interest the Light Mage who was still firmly bound by the triple Dark Binding. The defiance and indignation on her face had gradually faded, but the determination in her eyes told Kor that this woman was not as easy to deal with as he had imagined.

Moving her slightly stiff body, the Girl made no other movents. She knew that without the other party releasing the hold of the Dark Binding that had penetrated deep into her body, she was no different from any ordinary girl. Trying to resist in such a place was undoubtedly futile and unwise. It was better to calm down and react coolly, for there might still be room to turn things around.

Seeing the Girl calmly arranging her clothing without paying attention to him, Kor found it increasingly interesting. The more challenging the task, the more he was intrigued. This woman undoubtedly was an expert specially trained by the Church of Light, and her composed deanor in such a situation was enough to prove it, which piqued Kor’s interest even more.

“Please, take a seat if you wish, Miss Lo.” Lifting his hand, Kor extended gentlemanly courtesy to a strong opponent. He was eager to understand the woman’s true origins and her purpose for being here. Of course, he was also interested in learning about the internal power structure and operation of the extensive Church of Light through her, although it might be difficult.

Giving Kor a brief glance, the Girl didn’t seem to realize his ill intentions and sat down graciously, “Your excellency Baron, please don’t ask questions in vain. I won’t give you any answers, so spare your words. However, if you wish to discuss the matters of your Faith, I am indeed willing to accompany you.”

Before Kor could speak, the Girl preemptively blocked his intentions, but her final remark aroused his interest. Nodding, Kor said with a smile, “Very well, since Miss Lo is willing to give

a chance or, shall I say, preach to

about the issues of faith, I am also very willing to engage in discussion with Miss Lo in this regard. You need not have any reservations, Miss Lo. You may speak freely, I am all ears. If you think I need to explain or respond, please just instruct .”
