Chapter 68: Please, more

Alora snuggled close to Magnus, her head resting on his arm while her hand moved to his chest. Gradually, she opened her eyes and recalled everything from the last night.

"Good morning, Love," Magnus greeted her and kissed her lips. Nibbling her bottom lip, he yearned for a moan from her mouth. Her eyelashes touched the skin beneath her eyes as she lowered them and smiled.

"Prince Magnus still has energy in the morning," she murmured and realized she was donned in a silk robe.

"After you fell asleep, I cleaned you. I thought to put the robe on you so that you won’t catch s cold," Magnus told her before she could even ask about it.

Alora’s heart fluttered to hear how much her husband cared for her.

"I’ll ask the servant to prepare a bath for us," Magnus opined and slowly moved away from her. She remained on the mattress while watching Magnus going out.

"Are we going to bathe together?" Alora murmured, covering her eyes with her hands as she felt shy. As she lowered her hands, she propped herself up on her elbows and sat up, contemplating the idea. Eventually, Alora made her way to the washroom.

After freshening up, she examined her body in the mirror and was shocked to see it covered in hickeys. Her mouth fell open in disbelief as she quickly pulled up her silk robe.

"How am I supposed to face the others? Even my neck has the imprints of his lips," Alora murmured to herself, feeling self-conscious about the marks left by Magnus’s affection.

After brushing her teeth, Alora exited the washroom and was greeted by Selvina standing with her head low.

Alora got conscious too, making sure not to look into her eyes. "Your Highness, the bathhouse is ready for you," Selvina inford her with a tiny smile on her lips.

"Thank you, Selvina." Alora headed to the bathhouse. Through the plain white see-through curtains, she saw Magnus resting inside the huge bathing pool.

She strode toward him and widened to see the scratches of her nails on his back.

"Co in. The water is warm," said Magnus as he moved his hand into the water, tilting his head over his shoulder to look at her.

"Hmm." Alora moved her hands to the knots of her robe and she untied them. She entered the pool, keeping her hands over her chest, and sat across from Magnus.

"What is this? You are sitting so far from ," he complained.

"I have to wear a collared gown because you left hickeys all over my body," Alora stated, her frustration evident in her tone.

In an instant, Magnus appeared right in front of her, trapping her between his arms. "So? Your body belongs to . Besides, you begged for it last night," he said with a playful grin.

"Did I?" Alora pursed her lips together, trying to recall.

"You did," Magnus replied, bringing his right hand to her arm and making circles on it. "You said, ’Please, more.’"

A blush instantly spread across Alora’s cheeks at the mory, and she looked away, unable to et Magnus’s gaze. He smirked and sat beside her.

"Do you wish

to start again?" asked Magnus.

"No," a prompt reply ca from Alora’s mouth.

"Really?" Magnus teased as he trailed his hand to her breast. He watched the movents of her eyes and heard the beating of her heart. "Why does your body tell a different story to ?" he asked and leaned close to her ear.

Magnus wasted no ti in nipping her earlobe, causing her to let out a sweet, low cry.

Alora knew her body defied her words and she found herself giving in to the pleasure once again forming inside her. However, Magnus stooped and sat next to her.

She smiled as she realized he only teased her. "Are you well now?" Alora picked up the bar of herbal soap and gently applied it on Magnus’s shoulders, followed by the back.

"Yes," he responded. "I’m glad you held

back and didn’t let

go last night."

"I promised to stay by your side until my last breath. I will never let Prince Magnus feel alone," Alora said with a smile.

"Gabriel, what are you doing here in this early morning?" Izaak asked as he encountered him outside the residence.

"Greetings to Your Highness," Gabriel said as he bowed to the eldest Vampire Prince. "I was here to report to Prince Magnus about an important matter," he stated.

"What matter?" Izaak arched his eyebrow with curiosity.

"The attack on Princess Alora, I’ve gathered so more information about it," Gabriel said he felt Izaak didn’t know regarding this matter. "I will His Highness later." He stepped ahead when Izaak stopped him.

"Why don’t you tell

what have you found out?" Izaak queried and appeared right in front of his eyes. When Gabriel didn’t do that, Izaak compelled him to do so.

"A vampire has planned the attack on Princess Alora," Gabriel revealed.

"Who?" Izaak furrowed his brows together.

"Harris Klent," Gabriel replied.

"Isn’t he the son of the Chief Council Head?" Izaak questioned him.

"Yes," Gabriel answered.

"Hmm. If Magnus finds out about this, he will kill Harris. What do you think will happen then?" Izaak asked for his opinion.

"Probably, the noble vampires will turn against the royal family," Gabriel truthfully asserted. "However, this information must reach Prince Magnus’s ears," he added.

"I will tell him. You may leave," Izaak replied.

"Forgive , Your Highness, but I’ve to tell Prince Magnus about this myself. Prince Izaak can discuss with his brother what he finds is right. Please allow

to do my job," Gabriel said in his humble tone.

"Magnus will never listen to . That’s why I want you to avoid seeing him," Izaak affird, standing his ground.

However, he didn’t budge as Izaak continued. "Fine. Go ahead and inform your dear friend about this," Izaak said, his tone laced with taunting sarcasm.

"Your Highness, I believe you should accompany

as well. Together, we can prevent Prince Magnus from taking direct action against Harris," Gabriel suggested, trying to convince Izaak to join him.

Izaak rolled his eyes in exasperation. "He won’t listen to us, but it’s worth a try," he muttered before leading the way inside the residence, with Gabriel following closely behind.
