Chapter 371: Ambermoon Festival 4

Venus stared at Odin in shock, unable to process what she had just heard. The man who had never once admitted to his faults was now apologizing to her. The mont felt both surreal and unexpectedly joyous, stirring emotions she hadn’t anticipated.

"Say sothing," Odin urged, breaking the silence.

"Are you... sincere in your apology?" Venus asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.

"Do you find it insincere?" Odin responded, his tone was a mix of challenge and curiosity.

"It’s just... surprising to hear you apologize. It’s almost unbelievable," Venus admitted, her eyes searching his face for any hint of deceit.

Odin chuckled just as the server arrived, carefully setting down a large bowl of lamb soup, a bowl of rice, and an assortnt of side dishes on the table.

"Thank you," Venus said politely, picking up her spoon as the server bowed lightly and walked away.

Before she could start eating, Venus paused and looked at Odin. "Why don’t you go sowhere vampires can get food? If I start eating before you, won’t that make you feel bad?"

Odin’s lips curled into a smirk. "Well, I’ve got you right in front of

as my food," he teased, his eyes glinting mischievously.

"I’m not giving you my blood," Venus replied firmly, then began eating, ignoring the playful glint in his eyes.

Odin sat in silence, his eyes scanning the room. He noted the many curious gazes directed at them. When he locked eyes with one onlooker, the man quickly looked away, his face a mask of unease.

Shifting his focus back to Venus, Odin watched as she enjoyed her al. Her hair, left loose, kept falling into her face, causing her frustration as she repeatedly pushed the strands back.

Sensing her discomfort, Odin rose from his seat and approached her. He positioned himself behind Venus’s chair, and she flinched as his fingers brushed against her hair. Startled, she turned her head to face him, her expression a mix of surprise and confusion.

"What are you doing?" Venus asked, trying to shift away from him.

"Stay still," Odin commanded in a firm tone, ignoring her attempt to move. He deftly removed the scarf from around her neck, drawing the attention of the won in the restaurant, who looked at Venus with a mixture of admiration and envy, recognizing Odin’s noble status.

With practiced ease, Odin fashioned the scarf into a makeshift headband and gently gathered Venus’s hair, securing it away from her face. The intimate gesture left Venus with a fluttering sensation in her stomach. This tender act of care was sothing she had never expected from Odin, and it felt surreal.

Once he finished, Odin returned to his seat and gestured for her to continue with her al. His deanor remained composed, but there was a softness in his eyes as he watched her.

"Thank you," Venus said quietly, her voice carrying a note of genuine appreciation. Venus resud eating, savoring each bite, and when she was finished, she took a sip of water. "I’ve never felt so full and delighted," she murmured with a contented smile.

"Do you wish to stay here a bit longer?" Odin asked, watching her closely.

"No, I have so much to explore today," Venus replied with determination, rising from her seat. She made her way to the counter and paid for the al, her expression still glowing with satisfaction.

As they exited the restaurant, they found the market had beco even more crowded. Venus took only a few steps forward before her eyes landed on a familiar figure—Serena and her husband, Ramon Everston. Panic surged through her, and she quickly ducked behind Odin, pressing herself close to his back.

"Don’t move," she whispered urgently, her heart racing.

Odin was montarily taken aback by her sudden reaction. He followed her gaze to where Serena and Ramon were standing. "You shouldn’t hide," he said, his voice steady but laced with curiosity.

"You don’t understand," Venus murmured, trying to keep her voice low as she urged Odin to stay still and shield her from view.

However, Odin had other plans. Instead of complying, he gently but firmly pulled Venus to the front, catching her off guard and leaving her bewildered.

"Venus!" Serena called out, her voice filled with surprise as she approached.

Venus quickly composed herself, forcing a smile as she turned to face Serena. The two won exchanged a brief hug before Venus shifted her attention to Ramon, greeting him politely.

"Ramon, this is my best friend," Serena said with a warm smile, glancing at her husband as she introduced Venus.

Ramon offered a brief smile, his gaze shifting to Odin as the two n exchanged a silent, acknowledging nod. Without further interaction, Ramon excused himself. "I’ll go in first," he said, disappearing into the restaurant.

Serena turned her attention back to Venus, her eyes narrowing slightly. "I thought you weren’t seeing anyone, Venus, after everything that happened," she remarked, her tone laced with thinly veiled disdain as she glanced pointedly at Odin. "Last ti, you mistakenly chose a werewolf, and now you’re intentionally with a vampire. Is this because your sister married a vampire?" Her words dripped with mockery, aid to cut deep.

Venus felt a wave of anxiety wash over her, her fingers curling in nervousness as her throat went dry. She struggled to find the right words, but before she could respond, Odin stepped in.

"Are you envious that your husband is rely human?" Odin’s voice cut through the tension, cold and commanding.

"Excuse ?" Serena replied, her eyes widening in surprise.

"You heard ," Odin continued, his tone unwavering. "Stop ridiculing another woman. You clearly have no idea who I am, do you? I’m Odin D’Alessio. I could easily have you thrown in prison for disrespecting the sister-in-law of Prince Magnus." His words were stern, laced with an authority that left no room for argunt.

"I-I didn’t an to–"

"Whatever you ant I know one thing very clearly. You are envious of Miss Venus. Now, apologize to her," Odin said.

"It’s fine," Venus told Odin to calm down.

"Don’t stop ," Odin almost growled at Venus, gritting his teeth at her.
