Chapter 12: You are beautiful

Alora was pulled by her arm this ti. Magnus's red eyes lingered on her lips. "I don't wish to let you go now. Stay here," Magnus said. "You said you liked talking with . And for so reason, I love hearing your innocent talks," he remarked and flicked her forehead before reclining on the sofa.

"Your Highness, do you not miss your family?" Alora asked a question which brought a frown on his forehead. "I heard you've been living for a long ti. You must have witnessed a lot of things during this period," she said with inquisitiveness.

"Yes, I don't miss my family," Magnus truthfully answered her.

"Why?" Alora queried.

"What do you an by why? If you live a long life, you usually don't care," Magnus stated.

"Oh. It must be tiring for living so long," Alora said.

"Tiring!?" Magnus chuckled at her statent. "It's kind of fun," he asserted.

"How can it be fun? You never grow old. You cannot for relationship with anyone. You are supposed to live alone for a long duration," Alora explained. "I suddenly got another question for Your Highness," she said with a curious gaze.

"Hmm?"

"Why did His Highness not get married yet?" Alora questioned.

"Because I didn't find anyone attractive," Magnus replied.

"That's a lie," Alora said while squinting her eyes. "Our Kingdom has a lots of beautiful won," she said. Her eyes fell upon a portrait, which was of Magnus. "Was that recently commissioned?"

She quickly left the sofa and went toward it. Her head raised high as she found the portrait to be real. "Your Highness truly exudes the regal aura," Alora remarked.

"That was made around hundred of years ago. I have lost my interest in commissioning my portraits," Magnus inford her.

She tilted her head in astonishnt as Magnus was standing next to her. "Because my mother insisted, I had to do sit for hours for this," he muttered, recalling the mory.

"His Highness hasn't aged at all in these hundred years," Alora said with an admiration for him. "It seems this portrait was commissioned a few days back," she stated. The beautiful smile graced on her lips made her look enchanting.

"If not for the blindfold, I'm sure n would have been crazy to be with you," Magnus suddenly remarked.

Alora looked puzzled to hear his statent. "What does His Highness an?" she inquired.

"You are beautiful," Magnus answered.

Alora stopped blinking to hear him for a mont. Apart from her mother, she never heard such a complint from anyone. When his fingers flicked in front of her eyes, Alora finally blinked.

From the pad of his finger he traced Alora's face and stopped it under her chin. "Because you are beautiful, you have such eyes, I believe," he said in a low voice.

Alora's fingers curled as a strange engulfed her. A feeling she never experienced before. She kept staring into the Prince's eyes since she wanted to hear more from him.

His hand were now on his head as he patted it. "Beautiful people are always blessed with sothing special, so you are." Magnus smiled a little and noticed the tears in her eyes.

He withdrew his hand, realizing his words turned Alora emotional. "I'll drop you to your chamber," Magnus said as he pivoted on his feet.

"Thank you for calling

beautiful and even blessed, Your Highness," Alora said, controlling her tears which were on the verge of falling.

Magnus turned slightly and amusedly glanced at her. "I hate tears. Follow ," he said and went ahead.

After Magnus dropped Alora to her chamber, he returned. Gabriel was awaiting him and as soon as he spotted the Vampire Prince, he rose to his feet to greet him.

"You are late, Gabriel," Magnus said as he finally took a seat in the plush sofa; his one leg over the other.

"I had co in the evening, but the prince wasn't here," Gabriel responded.

"So, what's the information you have gathered?" Magnus had his clasped hands on his lap.

"Your Highness, we followed the scent of the werewolf and found out it appeared from the North-Western region– a place given the werewolves to live," Gabriel answered.

"Send the ssage to the alpha of Dark Moon Pack. I need answers from him," Magnus ordered Tobias.

"Yes, Your Highness," Tobias accepted the command and left.

"Your Highness, I don't think the werewolf pack has sothing to do with this attack. I have heard that Miss Alora got the curse in her eyes from a witch. Perhaps soone knew she was outside her ho and wanted to kill her. That's why a werewolf was sent in a way that the relationship between vampires and werewolves would hamper," Gabriel explained the conclusion he had made.

Magnus drew his brows close. "Why would soone wish to kill Alora?"

"Perhaps there's sothing more to those eyes. Tobias told

earlier that Miss Alora's family be here tomorrow. His Highness shall ask Miss Alora's mother how she got the curse?" Gabriel suggested him.

Gabriel was not only the border security head of Elmswood, but also a friend to Magnus. Indeed, Magnus loved to stay alone all these years, but suddenly he brought a human, which piqued everyone's interest in that.

And his doubts got cleared when Tobias told him how Magnus confessed in front of him and Odin that Alora fancied him.

"Your Highness, are you interested in a human?" Gabriel asked without fearing him.

Magnus arched his eyebrow at him. "You should leave, Gabriel," he said.

"Why can't His Highness say the truth instead of sending

away?" Gabriel playfully asked.

"Because I tend to keep secrets," Magnus answered.

Gabriel smiled a little. "I'll be happy to see the prince getting married," he stated and stood up. "I take my leave, Your Highness. Miss Alora must possess sothing special that attracted the Vampire Prince toward her," he remarked.

"Shut your mouth and leave," Magnus gestured to the door.

Gabriel bowed and walked away from the prince's sight.
