Reo Carter’s chest moved steadily as he slept soundly in his high-rise apartnt.

With a playful smirk on her lips, Chloe leaned on one elbow next to him, her brown hair cascading over her shoulder. As she traced his face, she was astounded that the murderer she knew could appear so vulnerable and human.

She reached out, her fingers lightly brushing his ear, teasing just enough to test him.

She assud he would sleep through it, but Reo’s hand sprang up and quickly grabbed her wrist. His voice was rough but tinged with fake annoyance, and his crimson eyes opened slightly, glinting in the dim light. "Chloe, please let sleep for once."

Her laughter was warm and quiet in the room. She moved closer until her breath ward his cheek, teasing, "I touched your ear and you woke from a dead sleep just because."

"You’re hopeless at resting. Should I knock you out for real?" She surprised him by leaning in and kissing him slowly and softly before he could respond. His hand moved to the back of her neck, bringing her closer.

After a mont, she pulled back, resting her head on his chest, her fingers tracing small patterns on his skin. The steady beat of his heart grounded her.

She tilted her face up and spoke in a light-hearted but inquisitive tone as an intriguing thought suddenly occurred to her. "As shown in movies, do hitn actually hide firearms throughout the house?"

With his fingers idly stroking her hair, he said in a dry yet warm tone, "You’ve been watching too many thrillers."

With a smile on her face, she continued to be curious. "All right, all right. So, which firearm is your favorite? Although she spoke in a lighthearted manner, her eyes betrayed genuine curiosity about him.

In the moonlight, his face beca unreadable as he fell silent. Chloe furrowed her brow, feeling the weight of his silence, but he sat up and put on an old, hugging t-shirt before she could ask. He moved off the bed with smooth grace, crouching to reach under the fra.

A sleek, black case with a cool surface was found by his fingers. He assembled a gun with swift, deft movents, each click loud in the silent room as he opened it.

The weapon’s lines were lethal and sharp, and it shone faintly. "Ares M110," he said in a low, nearly sacred voice. "I refer to it as the silent reaper."

Chloe sat up and stared at the gun, her eyes widening with a look of wonder and excitent. She moved closer, her voice a playful whisper, swinging her legs off the bed, her bare feet soft on the wood floor. "Very fancy. "Will you demonstrate how it works for ?"

With a steady hand and a firm barrel, he raised the gun and pointed it at her. He loaded it with a gentle click and lowered his voice. "Want to give it a try on you?"

As she moved closer, her smile brightened and beca bolder. "Co on, dear," she said in a whisper that matched his tone, "how could I resist you if you’re like this?"

Reo took out the magazine making the gun safe and placed it on the bed. Without waiting, Chloe pressed her hands to his face and drew him into a passionate, ferocious kiss, her lips demanding and warm.

Reo’s eyes opened and he was thrown into a flaming, chaotic scenery. A dead, cracked wasteland stretched out in front of him, its ruins reaching for a blood-red sky, its blackened ground scarred.

Everything was engulfed by the roaring flas that swept across the desolate land, but they broke apart around him, repelled by an invisible barrier.

His body was locked in a kiss, but it wasn’t Chloe’s familiar warmth against his lips. A chilling fear twisted in his chest, warning of a threat worse than the fire.

His limbs were heavy, and as the fierce, possessive figure in front of him tightened their hold, his instincts scread.

She pulled back, concealing her face behind a tattered, dark hood that appeared to absorb the firelight.

The woman’s sharp green eyes glowed with an odd power that chilled even Reo’s battle-weary soul, and her flowing black hair glead like liquid night as the hood dropped.

Despite her otherworldly beauty, she had a predatory, desperate look in her eyes.

Her voice slid through the fire like velvet over a blade—soft, but soaked in threat.

"Reo, you shouldn’t be here. You shouldn’t have co. However, now that you’re here..." Her lips curled into an enticing, yet terrifying, smile as she leaned closer. "I’ll claim you as mine. Just mine."

His body remained motionless, as if it were imprisoned by unseen chains, despite the surge of panic. With each heartbeat, her presence depleted his strength, making her intent obvious.

Reo found a spark of defiance that made his arm move and his fingers grab her wrist with frantic strength.

With a gruff growl, he pushed her face away. "Leave ."

Her green eyes glistened with dark amusent as her smirk widened. With a mocking tone, she whispered, "You dare defy my love?" With a bone-shaking crash, he was brought to his knees by an unseen but vicious crushing force.

She seized his face with a steely grip, forcing his eyes to et hers while her nails dug into his flesh. Her eyes stared into him, threatening to engulf him, and his heart was thumping, raw fear tearing at his mind.

"How could I resist you if you’re like this?"

With a sharp scream tearing from his throat, Leo jolted awake and sprang to his feet in bed, his head pounding with a searing pain behind his eyes.

The bitter taste burned his throat as his stomach twisted and he leaned over to vomit onto the polished floor next to the bed.

Curled at the end of the bed, Nimbus yowled in alarm before jumping up and running out the window, his black fur puffing up.

His cries caused the door to fly open, and Liana hurried inside. When she saw the ss on the floor and Leo’s pale, sweat-slick face, her eyes widened in shock.

She rushed to his side, gasping, "Young Master Leo!" Uncertain whether to touch him, she knelt beside the bed with her hands hovering. "What happened? Are you hurt?"

His crimson eyes were wide with confusion and terror as they locked onto her, and his breaths ca in short, shaky gasps. His voice broke through the haze of pain, rough and trembling with urgency. "Where is Rin Valarune?"
