"You want to tell you why I hunted those bank robbers?"

Reo Carter leaned back at the shiny wooden dining table in his fancy high-rise apartnt, the late afternoon sun making his black hair gleam.

Across from him sat Chloe, her green eyes shining with amusent and boldness, a sly smile on her lips. Her fingers rested near a small voice recorder, its red light blinking. Reo’s crimson eyes narrowed, suspicion on his face as he crossed his arms. "You’re with the cops, aren’t you?" His voice was low and sharp. "Should’ve guessed when you didn’t flinch after I told you who I am."

Chloe’s smile grew, her annoyance playful as she leaned in, pinching his cheeks like he was a kid. "Oh, Reo, don’t flatter yourself. I’m a criminal psychologist—not a fangirl. I study monsters like you." Her voice was daring, her eyes locked on his, not backing down.

Reo grabbed her wrists, holding them gently but firmly, staring at her eyes. "Then why are you in relation with your test subject?" His tone was calm but intense, searching for lies.

She pulled back, laughing softly, a real spark in her eyes. "Because, Reo, you pull in. I can’t help it." Her words were honest, open, stirring sothing in Reo’s guarded heart.

He sighed, running a hand through his hair, muttering, "What kind of woman are you?" Years in the underworld made his instincts sharp, and they told him Chloe ant no harm, it’s just a fearless curiosity that hooked him, a light in his dark world.

He grabbed a cigarette from the pack on the table, lit it with a quick flick, and blew out smoke, eyes fixed on her. "Fine. You want the truth? I’ll give it. The cops can’t touch even with a recorder."

Chloe’s smile sharpened, and she tapped the recorder on, leaning closer, voice soft but cutting. "Why’d you hunt those bank robbers two years ago? You weren’t connected to them."

Reo’s face darkened, the cigarette glowing as he breathed in, his voice low and rough. "They killed Grace, my housekeeper. She was in the bank they robbed."

Chloe tilted her head, eyes narrowing. "So, for a housekeeper, you chased them across the country, found their hideout, and burned them in a graveyard?"

Reo leaned forward, elbows on the table, the cigarette’s glow brightening as his eyes looked far away, haunted. "When I was twelve, I lost the only person who cared about . I was so enraged that I killed the guy who took her. That threw into thIs underworld. Since then, I’ve got this... bad habit. If soone takes what’s mine, even for a mont, I lose it. I kill them. Grace gave sothing I never had, a mother’s love. Those robbers stole that. So I stole their lives."

Reo stood in the wrecked sixth floor, his gauntlet-covered hand gripping the bald Wolves leader’s axe. The golden gauntlets, copied from Garrik’s soul weapon through Copy Resonance, boosted his strength and speed to crazy levels.

"You motherfuckers touched what’s mine." Losing Nimbus and his wraiths lit a fire in him, those shadows are more important in this present situation and he lost them. The Wolves took what was his, and he’d make them pay with their lives.

The second Wolf charged, his sword swinging down hard. Reo’s left gauntlet caught the blade, sparks flying as he held it tight.

"You hurt my cat?" he roared. He snapped the sword in half and slamd his gauntlet into the Wolf’s chest. The hit was massive, crushing his bones like weak cent.

The rcenary flew back, crashing through an iron gate, his body smashing into the wall with a gross crunch. Blood poured from his mouth, his chest crushed, ribs broken like sticks. He gasped, clawing weakly at the rubble.

The bald leader pulled his axe free, his yell rattling the floor as he swung with huge power. Leo used Shadowstep, vanishing in a flash of darkness, reappearing behind the leader as the axe smashed a cell into twisted tal. "Too slow," Leo mocked.

He activated Mana Surge, his gauntlet glowing red-hot, and struck—a hard uppercut that broke the leader’s jaw with a loud crack, teeth flying.

A second hit, a heavy punch, smashed the leader’s cheek, blood spraying. Leoleo kept going. He grabbed the leader’s throat, lifting him off the ground, and slamd him into the wall, the stone cracking.

"Feel that?" Leo hissed, his gauntlet squeezing, crushing the leader’s throat. The Wolf’s eyes bulged, fear replacing his defiance.

Leo’s eyes flicked to the second Wolf, who’d crawled from the rubble, his broken body shaking but still moving. Leo dropped the leader, who fell, gasping, and walked toward the second Wolf.

"You don’t get to leave without my permission," he growled. The Wolf swung a broken sword, a weak last try, but Leoleo grabbed his wrist, snapping it like a twig.

He lifted the rcenary by the throat, slamming him to the ground so hard the floor cracked. Pinning him with a knee, Leo raised his gauntlet. "This is for my cat," he spat, and smashed his fist down. The hit shook the prison, a loud boom, the Wolf’s skull breaking like glass. Leo hit again, and again, each punch a pure form rage, turning the Wolf’s face into a bloody ss ground into the stone.

The bald leader staggered to his feet, looking at the second Wolf’s body, his face now a bloody, grounded at ss.

A wild roar tore from his throat, raw and crazy, his eyes widening, his body shook, going berserk. His muscles swelled, twice as big, veins bulging like ropes, his skin stretching tight over his massive, monstrous fra. His armor ripped apart, tal pieces clattering to the stone, showing a terrifying, hulking form.

"YOU!" he bellowed, voice barely human, spit flying as he charged at Leo with huge, bare fists, the ground shaking.

"Co on, bald bastard!" Leo yelled, running forward.

The leader’s fist swung, like a giant hamr. Leo dodged with Shadowstep, grabbing the arm and twisting it, bones snapping loudly. The leader didn’t care, his other fist aiming for Leo’s head. He stepped aside, breaking the second arm with a sharp crack.

The leader, mindless, charged with his head like a battering ram. Leo hit his head with a gauntlet punch, the blow like thunder, sending the leader sliding across the stone in a trail of blood.

Leo walked forward, eager to kill. But a sudden feeling warned him, and he jumped back as the leader’s body exploded in a blast of golden energy. The explosion threw Leo against the wall, his back hitting hard, cracks spreading in the wall. He gasped, pain shooting through his ribs, his vision blurry.
