Chapter 716: Chapter 716: Moral Kidnapping
“ng Fan, what’s wrong with you?” Zheng Silin exclaid in shock.
She stood by the bed, looking at Zhong ngfan’s pained expression, but there was nothing she could do. She could only stand there, panicking. Her heart was burning with anxiety.
Although Zhong Minghao did not speak, his gloomy face at the mont was enough to show that his mood was not good at all.
“Move aside.”
Zhong Niangyao let out a low shout, then stepped forward.
Under everyone’s gaze, she simply stretched out her finger and touched Zhong ngfan’s forehead. Instantly, the previously agonized Zhong ngfan cald down and appeared as if asleep, and even his pale cheeks now had a touch more color.
Seeing this, the eyes of Zheng Silin and Zhong Minghao lit up, and when they looked at Zhong Niangyao, it was as though they saw a savior.
After Zhong ngfan’s condition stabilized, Zhong Niangyao stepped back.
Seeing this, Zheng Silin hurried forward, trying to grasp Zhong Niangyao’s hand, but she dodged it. Undeterred, Zheng Silin looked at Zhong Niangyao earnestly and said, “Nianyao, I know you have a way to save ng Fan. I beg you, please help us. We’ll agree to whatever compensation you want, as long as you’re willing to save ng Yao.”
Zhong Niangyao looked at Zheng Silin but did not respond.
Zhong Minghao stepped forward and continued, “I know that you and ng Fan haven’t got along, but for the sake of being family and the blood that binds us, please save ng Yao! She is your cousin after all, so consider it a request from your elder uncle.”
“Now you’re morally kidnapping her,” Baili Hengyuan couldn’t help but blurt out angrily from the side, “You are the elders here! Now you have the gall to pressure a junior like this, truly shaless.”
Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong had been watching everything from the side. Although they too wished for Zhong Niangyao to lend a hand to Zhong ngfan, they really found it difficult to speak up, especially after what Zheng Silin and Zhong Minghao had said about moral kidnapping.
Zheng Silin beca desperate, she quickly said, “Nianyao, we really have no other intentions. We are just really worried about ng Fan. I beseech you, please save ng Fan!”
Zhong Niangyao shook her head gently.
Both Zheng Silin and Zhong Minghao beca anxious, but before they could speak, Zhong Niangyao said, “I never said I wouldn’t save Zhong ngfan. There’s no need for you to be so anxious.” Zhong Niangyao spoke indifferently, “But saving soone is not so simple.”
Zheng Silin quickly replied, “As long as it can save ng Fan, I’m willing to do anything.”
Zhong Niangyao shook her head again, “The ones who can save Zhong ngfan now are not , but you and Zhong Jinghao.”
Upon hearing this, both Zhong Minghao and Zheng Silin were stunned. Clearly, this was not the answer they had expected.
However, before they could say anything, Old Sir Zhong stepped forward and issued an order, “Call Jing Hao back ho imdiately.”
Zhong Jinghao, who had been dealing with company affairs, returned ho as soon as he received the call from the family. The call did not specify what the matter was but ntioned that it was Old Sir Zhong who wanted him to return.
Although he didn’t know what the matter was, Zhong Jinghao was clear in his heart that anything his grandfather personally asked for could not be trivial.
When he got ho, he was inford to go straight to Zhong ngfan’s room.
Upon entering the room, he saw ng Fan asleep on the bed. Before he could understand what was going on, he saw Old Master Zhong, Old Madam Zhong, his parents, Zhong Niangyao, and Baili Hengyuan, who he had just greeted that morning, sitting on the sofa in the room.
Before Zhong Jinghao could ask any questions, Old Master Zhong gestured for him to sit down.
After Zhong Jinghao seated himself, Zheng Silin and Zhong Minghao imdiately told him about the near disaster that occurred with ng Fan earlier that day.
“What?” Zhong Jinghao exclaid in shock, and quickly asked, “How is ng Fan now?”
Even though he was sowhat irritated by so of ng Fan’s recent actions, after his last conversation with Zhong Niangyao, he had seriously reflected on his shortcomings. Moreover, no matter what, ng Fan was his sister, and he could not stand idly by and watch her in trouble.
“Only Niangyao can save her now.”
With those words, everyone’s attention was on Zhong Niangyao again.
Especially Zhong Minghao and Zheng Silin, they were even more anxious. Now that Zhong Jinghao had arrived, it was ti to discuss any possible solutions.
Zhong Niangyao looked up, her gaze falling on the family of three, and she spoke slowly, “There’s nothing else wrong with Zhong ngfan, except her vitality has almost completely depleted. What my grandfather just said is indeed true, Zhong ngfan’s body is at the point of total exhaustion.”
“Vitality depleted,” murmured Baili Hengyuan, frowning, “is your mother—”
“This ti, the situation with ng Fan is completely different from my mother’s,” Zhong Niangyao continued, “My mother has been comatose because the vitality inside her has been continuously feeding Huang Wan.”
“But the vitality within ng Fan’s body has indeed been forcibly depleted. That’s why she’s in such a state. Just now, I only temporarily stabilized her condition. Considering her current physical state, she can’t handle much more of this.”
“How can this be?” Baili Hengyuan asked with so curiosity, “She’s a healthy person, still so young, how could her vitality be completely depleted?”
“The condition of Zhong ngfan’s body must be related to her previous possession,” Zhong Niangyao explained further, “The entity that possessed Zhong ngfan was simply too strong. Her body could not sustain such a powerful soul, so to maintain the entity’s ability to move freely in Zhong ngfan’s body like a normal person, it consud most of her vitality.”
“Having already spent most of her vitality, and with the return of ng Fan’s own soul to her body without proper nourishnt, she no longer has enough life force. So now, ng Fan is truly at the end of her rope. If this continues, ng Fan will undoubtedly die.”
Hearing Zhong Niangyao’s grim prognosis for ng Fan, Zheng Silin was genuinely worried. She feared that in a mont of inattention, ng Fan might stop breathing.
All she wanted now was to know how to save her quickly.
