Chapter 702: Chapter 702: The Imposter

“You and Zhong Niangyao are both my sisters,” Zhong Jinghao looked at Zhong ngfan, his eyes stern, “However, if you keep being ungrateful, then I can’t protect you.”

“When have you ever thought about protecting ?” Zhong ngfan looked at Zhong Jinghao and retorted sarcastically, “If others didn’t know better, they might think Zhong Niangyao is your real sister!”

After speaking, Zhong ngfan was so angry that she got up and walked toward the exit.

She hadn’t wanted to co today in the first place. What did Zhong Mingxin’s return have to do with her?

It was just that her parents had been nagging her incessantly, and even her father threatened to cut off her allowance. That’s why she had no choice but to appear in the living room.

But now, seeing her whole family taking Zhong Niangyao’s side, she really couldn’t stand it. If she stayed any longer, she would explode.

Zhong ngfan’s sudden movent startled everyone, and all eyes instantly focused on her. She didn’t care and left directly.

“She is throwing a child’s tantrum!” Zhong Jinghao stood up and smiled at the crowd, “I’ll go bring her back now!”

After saying that, he followed the direction Zhong ngfan had left in.

Seeing this, everyone felt a bit strange.

As her parents, Zhong Minghao and Zheng Silin’s smiles were sowhat awkward. At the sa ti, they were very disappointed in Zhong ngfan’s disrespectful behavior.

Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong’s moods were not affected at all; after Zhong ngfan left, they exchanged a few words, turned their heads, and refocused their attention on Zhong Mingxin and Baili Le Yao.

Zhong Niangyao raised an eyebrow, probably guessing that Zhong ngfan’s sudden change in attitude had sothing to do with her. Just now, she hadn’t missed the jealous look in Zhong ngfan’s eyes.

anwhile, Zhong Jinghao also caught up to Zhong ngfan.

He hastened his steps and grabbed Zhong ngfan’s hand directly, “Have you had enough of your tantrum?”

His tone contained anger, and when he looked at Zhong ngfan, there wasn’t a trace of warmth in his eyes. It was as if he wasn’t looking at his sister but a complete stranger. No, perhaps even a stranger would be treated better.

Zhong ngfan felt just that, as if she didn’t exist as a sister in Zhong Jinghao’s eyes. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be treating her with such cold indifference now.

With this in mind, she shook off Zhong Jinghao’s hand and yelled back at him, “Just go away, why are you stopping ? Don’t you also think I’m an embarrassnt? Go back! Go back and be the good grandson, the good brother.”

“Zhong ngfan!” Zhong Jinghao scolded sharply, “Even if you want to throw a tantrum, you should at least be mindful of the occasion! Is this really the place for you to make a scene? Do you not see how upset grandma and grandpa are?”

“What does that have to do with ?” Zhong ngfan snapped back coldly, “You want the company’s inheritance, so you need to please grandma and grandpa. But what does the company’s inheritance have to do with ? Why should I have to humble myself?”

Watching Zhong ngfan’s deanor, Zhong Jinghao’s anger grew more intense, but he still managed to suppress his rage, “Zhong ngfan, do you really think I’m here today just for the company’s inheritance?”

“Isn’t it?” Zhong ngfan sneered, “Zhong Jinghao, you don’t need to dress up your actions here. If it wasn’t to get on grandma and grandpa’s good side, you wouldn’t bother to sit here and chit-chat with them. You might fool others, but not ; I know exactly what kind of person you are.”

“Great,” Zhong Jinghao’s face showed an unmistakable disappointnt, and when he looked at Zhong ngfan, there wasn’t a single trace of emotion in his eyes, “Since you see that way, then from now on, we have nothing to do with each other. After all, to , you are utterly worthless.”

Looking at Zhong Jinghao’s indifferent expression, a hint of guilt rose in Zhong ngfan’s heart, but she refused to back down, “Whatever you say. Do you really think I want you as a brother? Don’t think I don’t know that, in your heart, you prefer that thing that once took over my body.”

Not just big brother; even their parents felt the sa. Despite her vehent denial and the constant comfort she gave herself that her family loved her, the inadvertent actions and words of her parents and brother always made it clear: they preferred the fake over her, their true family mber.

Suddenly hearing Zhong ngfan bring up that matter, Zhong Jinghao paused, then regained his composure, “You think we favor the fake, but have you ever wondered why? If you were truly sensible, do you think we would still rember the fake?”

“I hate you, I hate you the most.”

After yelling, Zhong ngfan turned around and ran away.

Left standing there, Zhong Jinghao couldn’t help but show a bitter smile. Looking at Zhong ngfan’s retreating figure, his face was filled with disappointnt.

Taking a deep breath and composing himself, Zhong Jinghao turned around, intending to go back to the living room.

However, he had just turned when he saw an unexpected figure.

“Why are you out here too?”

“Just needed so fresh air!” Zhong Niangyao raised an eyebrow and spoke with a smile, “Of course, I have to admit, I did hear your argunt with Zhong ngfan just now.”

Okay! She had actually followed them out on purpose, just wanting to see what was going on. She hadn’t expected to see Zhong Jinghao and Zhong ngfan arguing.

However, even after hearing the argunt, she didn’t leave; instead, she stayed to see the outco.

Zhong Jinghao gave Zhong Niangyao an apologetic look, “Nianyao, I am truly sorry. Today was supposed to be a joyous occasion with Ming Xin’s return, but it was unfortunately disrupted by ng Fan.”

“I apologize on her behalf here and hope you won’t hold it against ng Fan. She has been through a lot and has beco sowhat radical. But, deep down, she is genuinely kind-hearted.”

“An apology?” Zhong Niangyao’s lips curled into a faint, ambiguous smile as she looked at Zhong Jinghao, “Do you really think Zhong ngfan realizes her mistake?”

At that, Zhong Jinghao found himself speechless. He didn’t know anything, but he knew he had to apologize to Zhong Niangyao first.
