Chapter 700: Chapter 900 Comparison

As the accusatory words rang out one after the other, the warmth in the living room vanished completely, replaced by awkwardness and silence.

Everyone’s gaze fell on the person who had spoken those words, none other than Zhong ngfan. At that mont, her face was innocent, as if her question had been prompted by re curiosity without any malice intended.

“ng Fan,” Zhong Jinghao was the one who spoke, frowning with an unpleasant expression on his face, “if you don’t know what to say, then keep quiet.”

Although the current Zhong ngfan was indeed his real sister, it must be said, he preferred the intelligent and tactful imposter.

In a setting like this, Zhong ngfan was still clueless about what should and should not be said—it was clearly intentional provocation. Did she really think that those present couldn’t see through her little sche?

“How so? Can I not even speak now?” Zhong ngfan remained indifferent, yet the malice was apparent in her eyes, “I rely asked a question, is that so exaggerated? Or are you saying—”

Her gaze landed on Baili Lele, implying sothing as she spoke, “Is there sothing inconvenient to ntion?”

Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong’s expressions imdiately darkened, and the atmosphere in the living room beca frighteningly quiet.

Everyone’s breathing lightened considerably as they simultaneously glanced at Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong’s grim expressions and then back at Zhong ngfan’s self-satisfied deanor.

Zhong Minghao and Zheng Silin couldn’t wait to smack Zhong ngfan; even though she was their daughter, they had to admit, she was truly foolish.

Did Baili Lele’s relation to Zhong Niangyao really matter to them? Yet, this fool focused on Baili Lele and picked at her unnecessarily. Did she not realize it was the day Zhong Mingxin had returned?

Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong had waited years to finally welco Zhong Mingxin back safely. It was a ti for joy, and yet she recklessly chose to provoke, clearly wanting to infuriate the elders.

Zhong Jinghao had warned her just monts ago, and still, she persisted. Did she not understand human speech?

Before Old Sir Zhong and Old Madam Zhong could speak, a crisp voice rang out, belonging to none other than Zhong Niangyao.

“What, are you so interested in our family affairs?” Zhong Niangyao looked at Zhong ngfan, arching an eyebrow, “Moreover, if you say my mother and I don’t resemble each other, do you think you resemble your uncles and aunts? If you hadn’t ntioned it, I wouldn’t have noticed! Zhong ngfan, you don’t look like your uncle and aunt at all!”

“Zhong Niangyao, what do you an?” Zhong ngfan almost jumped up, pointing at Zhong Niangyao’s nose and began to scold, “What are you implying? Make it clear! How do I not resemble my parents? You are slandering , I won’t let you off!”

“Oh, so should you not explain yourself then?” Zhong Niangyao looked at Zhong ngfan, her lips curling into a sarcastic smile, “You haven’t forgotten your own words just now, have you? How co? You can talk, but I can’t, is that it? On what basis? Just because you have a bigger face?”

“You—”

Zhong ngfan was so angry she couldn’t speak, but she found herself unable to retort and stood there, her face red and shaking with rage as she pointed at Zhong Niangyao.

A dangerous glint flashed through Zhong Niangyao’s eyes as she stared at Zhong ngfan, her voice as chilling as ice, “I rember, I’ve said before that I hate it when people point fingers at the most. If you don’t care about your fingers, I can help you cut them off.”

The physical instinct was much quicker than ntal responses, prompting Zhong ngfan to subconsciously retract her finger.

Even so, she felt incredibly humiliated by her own reaction. However, as much as she might feel that way, she dared not point her finger at Zhong Niangyao again.

Deep inside, she knew that Zhong Niangyao was not just talking big—she ant what she said. She didn’t dare risk her fingers.

“Nianyao, ng Fan is just inept at speaking; don’t be angry with her,” Zheng Silin hurriedly smiled apologetically, speaking on behalf of her, “As her aunt, I apologize to you on her behalf and hope that you can be magnanimous and not lower yourself to her level.”

Had it been before, she certainly would not have apologized so readily. However, she had seen with her own eyes the mysterious thods Zhong Niangyao possessed, and she was genuinely afraid that Zhong Niangyao might use them on Zhong ngfan.

Although disappointed in Zhong ngfan, to the point of almost missing the old Zhong ngfan, she still didn’t want any harm to co to her own flesh and blood.

Zhong ngfan was clearly dissatisfied and wanted to retort.

Yet, facing the cold warning looks from her parents and brother, all the words she had mustered up suddenly choked back inside.

Zhong Niangyao looked at Zhong ngfan with a mockingly amused expression and spoke softly, “Naturally, I wouldn’t stoop to quarrel with soone brainless. However, Zhong ngfan, I must say, you really do not asure up to that thing that once occupied your body!”

“After all, that thing, in every aspect, perford better than you. You might not be aware, but after it joined the Zhong Group, it achieved quite a bit. It was nothing like you who can only leech off others.”

Within this family, everyone tacitly avoided ntioning the events that afflicted Zhong ngfan.

Now that Zhong Niangyao spoke so overtly, everyone’s expressions varied, but no one spoke up. After all, the situation today was Zhong ngfan’s own doing; she had no one else to bla.

Zhong ngfan’s face beca extrely ugly as she looked at Zhong Niangyao, the hatred in her eyes nearly tangible.

Yet, she didn’t utter another word. She was well aware that continuing this dispute would only disadvantage her. Now that even her parents and brother hadn’t taken her side, what could she possibly do?

Ever since she woke up, there had always been an unsettling feeling in her heart. She felt that ever since she beca lucid, an invisible barrier seed to have surfaced between her and her family. Although they never ntioned it…

…but from their behavior, she could tell her parents and brother still yearned for that thing that had once occupied her body.

Now that Zhong Niangyao brought this matter up so sharply, she really wanted to lash out in anger. However, she tragically discovered that she seed to have lost even the right to be angry.
