Chapter 691: Chapter 691: Going Ho
Zhong Niangyao took out a full set of thick clothes and handed them to Zhong Mingxin, “Find sowhere to change into these clothes first! Otherwise, when you return later, you might be treated as an oddity and gawked at!”
Zhong Mingxin didn’t say anything, took the clothes, and found a spot to change.
Lu Yichen and Zhong Niangyao stayed where they were, changing their outfits in the blink of an eye.
However, unlike the thick clothing of Zhong Mingxin, Lu Yichen and Zhong Niangyao wore simply long-sleeve shirts and pants, looking neat and tidy.
“Do you think Zhong Mingxin will find it odd when he sees us dressed in these clothes later?” Niangyao joked playfully, “After all, his clothes are so thick, it’s as if we’re from two different seasons!”
“Then how about—” Yichen looked at Niangyao, affection flashing in his eyes and a smile in his tone, “we also put on down jackets? What do you think?”
Niangyao stuck out her tongue and giggled mischievously, shaking her head, “Let’s not. I don’t want to wear a down jacket; they’re so bulky!”
Yichen chuckled, extended his hand, and patted Niangyao’s hair, “Alright, then we’ll do as you say.”
At this mont, Zhong Mingxin, who had gone to change, returned. When he saw Lu Yichen and Zhong Niangyao’s attire, he was sowhat taken aback.
“What’s this—”
Standing next to them, he must have looked quite strange! It could be said that he was in the depths of winter, while Zhong Niangyao and Lu Yichen were in the spring.
The contrast was too stark.
“The two of us have so cultivation,” Niangyao explained with a smile, “so we don’t fear the cold at all. You should rember, right? The place where you fell was the deepest part of Changbai Mountain, and you surely rember how cold it was there.”
Zhong Mingxin nodded, “So how do we get back now?”
He was already becoming impatient.
It had been ten years since he had been in this place. Moreover, he had learned from his daughter that the passage of ti here was different from ho, and he had been away from his family for over twenty years.
He couldn’t believe how his wife and parents had fared during these long twenty-sothing years.
Niangyao looked at Yichen, who nodded and then released a burst of Spiritual Power, suddenly creating a black vortex that wildly swirled, as if it could swallow all things in the world.
“Let’s go!”
With that, Niangyao nudged Zhong Mingxin.
Before he could react to what was happening, he felt a push from behind. Losing control of his balance, he stumbled forward several steps, then was sucked into the black vortex.
After Zhong Mingxin was absorbed, Lu Yichen and Zhong Niangyao exchanged a glance, then, holding hands, were also drawn into its midst.
In the blink of an eye, the three of them had instantly teleported to another location.
Zhong Mingxin initially landed squarely on his bottom. When he regained his senses and looked around at his surroundings, his nose tingled, his eyes reddened, and his eyes filled with tears, but he stubbornly refrained from letting them fall for the sake of his dignity.
“I’ve co back; I’ve finally returned.”
Mingxin’s voice trembled with excitent, and the tears he had been holding back finally spilled over.
Watching Mingxin’s emotional display, Niangyao said nothing, simply standing silently aside, watching as he released his pent-up emotions of excitent and restraint.
Anyone forced to leave their ho for ten years, held captive, spending every day in endless longing, would experience imnse pain. Now back in a familiar place, at his own ho, no one could remain unmoved. Thus, Mingxin’s excitent was sothing Niangyao had anticipated.
After a while, Ming Xin’s emotional turmoil had clearly cald down.
He turned his head to look at Niangyao and spoke, “This is the bottom of the cliff, right? How do we get up?”
Despite ten years having passed, he still vividly rembered how he had fallen down the cliff and ended up in a completely foreign place without explanation.
During those ten years, he had recounted his own story almost every day, for fear that he might one day forget who he was, forget his loved ones, and be assimilated by the people of the past.
Now he had finally returned to his own world.
Yichen remained silent, his gaze never leaving Niangyao.
“Um.”
After a mont of thought, Niangyao looked at Ming Xin and directly asked, “Dad, where do you want to go first? Do you want to see Mom first? Or would you prefer to go back and see Grandpa and Grandma?”
After pondering, Ming Xin looked at Niangyao and responded, “Nianyao, I want to see your mom first. Then we can bring her along to visit your grandparents.”
He was finally ho, and though he and Le Yao had been separated for so many years, they were reunited at last. He couldn’t wait to see Le Yao!
Moreover, now that they had Nianyao, it was ti to finalize their marriage arrangents.
Niangyao nodded, “Alright, then let’s head to the Baili Family first!”
After speaking, she looked at Ming Xin, “Now close your eyes.”
Although Ming Xin didn’t know what Niangyao intended to do, he trusted her and imdiately closed his eyes.
Then, he felt the world spinning around him.
When he opened his eyes again, he found himself standing in front of a large house. He also noticed that the temperature around him was not as cold anymore.
“Dad, you should rember! This is the Baili Family,” Niangyao said with a smile, “Let’s hurry inside! Mom should be resting in her room at this ti.”
The Baili Family recognized Niangyao and Lu Yichen, so they faced no obstruction upon their arrival.
Before long, Niangyao led Ming Xin to the doorstep.
Whether out of nervousness from being near to ho or so other reason, Ming Xin just stood frozen at the door, hesitant to go in.
“Dad, what’s wrong?”
Niangyao addressed Ming Xin, “You said earlier that you couldn’t wait to see Mom, right? Mom is inside right now. Just push open the door and you’ll see her.”
