Chapter 464: Chapter 464: Solving Departure Chapter 464: Chapter 464: Solving Departure “I can’t help you,” Zhong Niangyao spoke bluntly, “the punishnt is from Heavenly Dao, and there’s nothing I can do. Besides, even if I could save you, I wouldn’t.”

“How can you be so cold-hearted?” Wu Yueshang was collapsing, standing up in anger and embarrassnt, “You clearly have the ability; why won’t you help us? You’ve already helped Zheng Tong, why can’t you help us?”

“Is it because Zheng Tong offered you more benefits?”

She couldn’t accept that her son had only three days left to live and would die in such a tragic way.

Before the words had even settled, a black aura appeared and quickly wrapped around Wu Yueshang’s neck, tightening its grip.

Wu Yueshang didn’t have the ti to react before her neck was engulfed in blackness. Then, as if alive, the black aura continued to tighten.

She felt like soone was choking her, and as fresh air disappeared, a suffocating feeling made her miss the unremarkable fresh air of everyday life.

This sudden scene left everyone present sowhat unreceptive.

They could only watch as Wu Yueshang was choked by the black aura; she struggled desperately, but it was utterly useless. Her breathing beca more and more frantic, turning her face almost purplish.

It was apparent that if this continued, Wu Yueshang would soon lose her life.

Wu Yueshang felt that today might indeed be her last.

However, at that mont, the black aura around her neck suddenly disappeared. She then collapsed to the ground, weak and continually coughing, taking deep breaths of the fresh air.

Lu Yichen’s cold gaze fell on Wu Yueshang, “If you can’t control your mouth, then never speak again in your life.”

The icy words made Wu Yueshang shiver uncontrollably. She looked up and saw the emperor-like man beside Zhong Niangyao, and a wave of fear rose within her.

She knew that when this man said to never speak again, he wasn’t just going to ruin her voice but take her life. And this man wasn’t rely talking; he would take action.

At this mont, when Chu Xu looked at Lu Yichen, his eyes wide with disbelief and respect.

He’d seen the black aura before when it controlled Zheng De’s actions and thought it was Zhong Niangyao’s doing. But now it seed it was Third Young Master Lu’s work.

So it turns out that Third Young Master Lu is no ordinary person either!

And, anyone associated with Zhong Niangyao couldn’t possibly be ordinary!

“That’s enough, don’t be angry,” Zhong Niangyao said as she reached out and took Lu Yichen’s hand, “It’s just a grasshopper after autumn, trying to make its presence felt for a while longer. Let’s not bother with them anymore.”

Lu Yichen’s cold eyes fell on the Zheng family mbers, “You should receive the punishnt you deserve for your misdeeds, no one can escape.”

The Zheng family couldn’t even bear to look at Lu Yichen, their eyes shifting around.

But Lu Yichen’s cold words felt as though they could claim their lives at any mont. For a second, they felt death was so near.

“Let’s go then!”

Zhong Niangyao took the initiative to grab Lu Yichen’s hand and smiled brightly, “We’ve settled everything here, and what happens next is no longer our concern.”

In almost an instant, like ice lting into spring, the frost on Lu Yichen’s face thawed into a warmth as he looked at Zhong Niangyao, almost dripping with adoration, “Okay!”

Now that things were settled, Zhong Niangyao had no intentions of staying any longer. She said to Chu Xu, “Rember to deposit the fee into my bank account.”

Chu Xu already knew the bank account number since his father had previously transferred money to her.

“Oh, okay,” Chu Xu said as if waking from a dream, hurriedly acknowledging.

Zhong Niangyao and Lu Yichen were already walking hand in hand towards the exit.

“Don’t go, don’t leave.” Wu Yueshang cried out as she chased after them.

She knew that the girl was her son’s only hope now. If she truly left, her son would be dood. She didn’t regret borrowing Zheng Tong’s life for her son. If it ant saving her son, sacrificing an adopted daughter who was not related by blood ant nothing to her.

She regretted not clarifying things and causing her son’s current plight.

Wu Yueshang had just started to run when she was stopped by the bodyguards. She tried to push past them with all her might, wanting to reach the girl, but she was not strong enough. She could only watch as the girl grew further away and disappeared from her sight, taking all her hopes with her.

Although Zheng De did not lose his composure like Wu Yueshang, he too seed soulless, standing blankly with despair in his eyes.

And Kang Jian, lying on the ground, wasn’t faring any better; his body was growing increasingly weaker. He felt his vision and hearing fading and tried to call for help, but his throat produced no sound.

At this mont, he recalled Zhong Niangyao’s words about losing all five senses and felt an indescribable pain inside.

Thinking about dying in such tornted condition only increased his fear imnsely.

Watching the tragic state of the Zheng family, Chu Xu, who hadn’t left yet, felt utterly unmoved; in fact, there was a hint of pleasure.

As if rembering sothing, he stepped forward and spoke to Zheng De and Wu Yueshang, “Up to now, you probably still don’t know the identity of my second cousin. Our Chu Family may not be top-tier in the Imperial Capital, but we have so standing.”

“If over the years, you had treated my second cousin well, then my uncle and aunt might have been grateful for your care and rewarded you generously. Or maybe, if it weren’t for this life borrowing incident, considering you raised my second cousin, they might have given you a sum of money.”

“As for now, just wait for their revenge. I think you’re going to have a tough ti ahead.”
