Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Invitation Chapter 395: Chapter 395: Invitation “Talking to a smart person really saves heartache,” Zhong ngfan slightly nodded, her lips curving into a smile before she spoke, “Nianyao, help with sothing, I want to join the company.”

“Join the company?” Zhong Niangyao’s brow furrowed lightly, as she hadn’t expected Zhong ngfan to make such a request. She smiled and shook her head, “I can’t get involved in company affairs. If you really want to join the company, you should talk to your uncle, or your brother.”

“I’ve already spoken to my big brother.”

Hearing the refusal in Zhong Niangyao’s words, Zhong ngfan wasn’t angry, her tone remained calm, “However, I think if you were willing to speak up on my behalf, they would probably agree to let join the company.”

“Why should I help you?” Zhong Niangyao looked at Zhong ngfan, smiling as she counter-questioned, “Although we can sit here calmly and talk now, you should be very clear about what our relationship is really like!”

“I know,” Zhong ngfan nodded, her smile self-mocking, “You truly have no obligation to help , after all, I’ve made things difficult for you on several occasions in the past. I’m rely asking you, not truly forcing you to.”

Zhong Niangyao’s eyes lifted, watching Zhong ngfan quietly, her penetrating gaze as if to see through soone’s heart.

Facing Zhong Niangyao’s probing eyes, Zhong ngfan neither dodged nor shied away, eting them directly without a trace of guilt.

Watching this Zhong ngfan, Zhong Niangyao couldn’t help but sigh inwardly—could it really be that after a major event, a person’s nature could change dramatically?

Now, Zhong ngfan was truly a different person from before. Even, she sensed that there was a change in the very air around her.

With this thought, Zhong Niangyao activated her “Heavenly Eye” and scanned up and down, but she didn’t find anything unusual.

“Nianyao, what’s the matter?”

Seemingly sensing sothing off about Zhong Niangyao, Zhong ngfan raised an eyebrow and asked with so confusion, “Is there sothing dirty on my face? Why do you keep staring at like that?”

“No,” Zhong Niangyao said, shaking her head softly and then standing up, “It’s just that your change is really quite significant! If your appearance hadn’t remained the sa, I’d almost suspect you were replaced.”

Zhong ngfan chuckled, “I didn’t know you enjoyed joking, Nianyao! It’s true, I’ve changed a lot, but that’s normal. Nianyao, rember how you too changed a lot after facing a life and death situation?”

At this point, her tone was tinged with a hint of emotion, “Having lived overseas for a ti and dealing with a series of events like being pregnant before marriage, it would be strange if I hadn’t changed at all!”

“Yes,” Zhong Niangyao nodded, then quickly changed the subject, “I will talk with grandfather, and cousin Jing Hao about it. However, if you want to enter the company, you can’t start at a high level, you’ll have to start from the ground up.”

Zhong ngfan’s change was indeed too great, so much so that it was almost unbelievable. However, after careful consideration, she felt that if Zhong ngfan wanted to join the company, then let it be as she wished.

Zhong Jinghao’s thods were evident, and Zhong ngfan couldn’t play any tricks even if she wanted to.

However, if Zhong ngfan truly wanted to redeem herself and live a good life because of her past actions, then this was also a chance.

After all, Zhong ngfan was a granddaughter of the Zhong Family. Although the grandparents didn’t speak of it, they also hoped for their granddaughter’s well-being. So, if Zhong ngfan truly intended to live honestly, it was indeed a good thing.

“Huh?” Zhong ngfan paused, a trace of joy appearing on her face, though quickly followed by confusion, “Why are you willing to help ?”

“There’s no particular reason,” Zhong Niangyao shook her head, rising to her feet, “Since you’ve decided to start living a good life, then don’t cause trouble anymore. Otherwise, no one will be able to help you.”

With that, she left the garden.

Although Zhong ngxuan and Zhong Niangyao had left one after the other, Zhong ngfan didn’t depart but remained in the garden continuing to drink her tea, seemingly at ease and leisurely.

No one noticed that after Zhong Niangyao left, Zhong ngfan watched the place where she had disappeared, her eyes gleaming with an inscrutable light.

Zhong ngfan’s return didn’t cause even a ripple in the Zhong Family.

However, as the news of Zhong Minghao and Zheng Silin welcoming another son spread, many envied the Zhong Family’s fortune. In just a short year, the first and second branches added new mbers, such happy events were indeed rare, especially since both Zhong Minghao and Zhong Mingyu were over fifty and yet had another son.

Many people began to inquire, both openly and secretly, if the Zhong Family had obtained so secret fertility formula that allowed them to have two more sons in succession.

In response to the outside inquiries, the Zhong Family remained tight-lipped.

Zhong Niangyao continued her quite reginted, almost point-to-point life.

After school, Lu Yichen and Zhong Niangyao had made plans to dine together. However, as soon as they arrived at the restaurant, they saw Lu Yilei and ng Rou also coming to dine there.

Seeing Lu Yichen, Lu Yilei seed overjoyed. Stepping forward eagerly, he said, “Third brother, Lady Zhong, I didn’t expect to et you here! It’s such a coincidence, why don’t we all dine together?”

Lu Yichen didn’t want to be a third wheel nor did he wish to impose on others. However, before he could politely decline, Zhong Niangyao tugged at his sleeve.

What would have been a refusal turned into consent, “Alright.”

Lu Yilei hadn’t expected Lu Yichen to agree, but he was thrilled, promptly inviting both of them to join in a private dining room enthusiastically.

Zhong Niangyao followed by Lu Yichen’s side, her lips curving into a aningful smile as she noticed ng Rou’s sowhat pale face.

She could tell that inviting them to dine together was Lu Yilei’s decision, clearly sothing ng Rou disliked. Or rather, ng Rou was afraid.

What ng Rou was afraid of, however, piqued her curiosity.

Indeed, ng Rou’s mood wasn’t great at this mont, having already been upset by seeing Zhong Niangyao. Now that Lu Yilei had spontaneously invited them both to dine together, it further soured her mood. Yet, she understood that it was impossible to refuse under the circumstances, so she had to suppress her inner displeasure and maintain a smile on her face.
