Although he was not yet clear on what was happening, he could tell that the two officers visiting today likely wanted his granddaughter’s help.
If it were the past, he would definitely have been suspicious that the other party was deceptive. But now, his granddaughter was different from before, and such matters seed more acceptable.
However, he still didn’t want his granddaughter to beco involved in such things; it was too dangerous.
