Chapter 153: Chapter 153: Soul Scattered

After hearing Zhong Niangyao’s words, everyone felt as if their worldviews were shattered.

Raising a little ghost, and even more shockingly, their own agent’s child.

Such matters, if spoken aloud, truly are beyond belief. Even TV dramas wouldn’t dare to script such plots.

“What?”

The most shocked person turned out to be Chen i. She stepped forward abruptly, grabbed Zhao Rongrong by the shoulders, and began to question her fiercely, “Rongrong, is what she said true? Did you really use my child to raise a little ghost? Tell now!”

As she spoke, Chen i’s grip tightened increasingly, and her expression grew ferocious.

...

“Sister Chen, please let go of first,”

Feeling the sharp pain from her shoulders, Zhao Rongrong tried to push Chen i’s hands away. “Calm down, don’t fall for soone else’s trap.”

“Trap?” Zhong Niangyao sat on the sofa, her deanor lazy, “We have no grudges with you. Why do you think I would set a trap for you! Plus, you know what you have done yourself. However, that child who was turned into a little ghost is truly pitiful. Dood to never transcend in this life, and might even end up completely obliterated, how pitiful!”

The phrase “dood to never transcend” instantly snapped the last thread in Chen i’s mind. Her eyes turned bloodshot, and her face even more hideous. As she looked at Zhao Rongrong, the hatred in her eyes seed to overflow. “Zhao Rongrong, over these years, I have always been planning for you, prioritizing your needs and making you a star in the spotlight. Is this how you repay ?”

“I trusted you, that’s why I left my child’s matters to you to handle. But you… you turned my child into a little ghost. I will kill you, I’m going to kill you.”

She was aware that so people in the entertainnt industry practiced raising a little ghost. Initially, when Zhao Rongrong had told her about wanting to raise a little ghost, she had opposed it. But eventually, she was persuaded by the supposed benefits and had even agreed to it, going so far as to help find soone for the job. However, she never expected that Zhao Rongrong, that despicable person, would turn her child into a little ghost.

It was her, she was the reason her child turned into a little ghost, dood to never transcend.

Thinking about it made her heart ache unbearably. Yet, now, what she wanted most was to kill Zhao Rongrong, the despicable person, to avenge her child.

Chen i lunged forward and fiercely grasped Zhao Rongrong’s neck, her expression so ferocious it seed as if she really intended to kill her.

Zhao Rongrong struggled desperately, but with Chen i in a state of intense fury, her strength was many tis greater than usual, and Zhao Rongrong couldn’t break free.

Seeing this situation, everyone present imdiately stood up to intervene.

Zhao Xuanglang ca forward and separated the two.

However, perhaps due to the rage in her heart, Chen i continued to struggle fiercely, her eyes bloodshot, screaming that she would kill Zhao Rongrong.

Zhao Rongrong was not far off, with fear still lingering in her eyes, and at the mont, she was coughing continuously, greedily breathing in the fresh air.

For a mont there, she really thought she was going to die at the hands of Chen i.

The scene was particularly chaotic.

“Enough, everyone stop,” Wu Qiong bellowed. “If you keep this up, none of you need to co to work tomorrow.”

After a while, Chen i and Zhao Rongrong gradually cald down and sat back down.

However, unlike before, they now sat far apart from each other. Zhao Rongrong sat there with a pitiable expression, while Chen i looked at Zhao Rongrong with eyes still full of hatred. It seed she would kill Zhao Rongrong if she got the chance.

Wu Qiong sat on the sofa, unable to resist stretching out his hand to rub his temples. “Zhao Rongrong, Chen i, what exactly have you done? If you’re still unwilling to speak up, then tomorrow the company will imdiately announce the termination of your contracts, and whether you live or die will then be none of the company’s concern. Also—”

At this point, Wu Qiong’s gaze sharpened, “I will talk to the company’s legal departnt and pursue your liability for breach of contract. Just the penalties alone will probably bankrupt you!”

“Mr. Wu!”

Hearing Wu Qiong’s words, Zhao Rongrong beca frantic. “You can’t treat this way.”

Although she had just barely made it into the ranks of leading actresses, if the company terminated her contract now, no other company would dare sign her under these uncertain circumstances.

The entertainnt industry was a place quick to replace old with new, and her foundations were unstable; she would quickly be replaced. Not to ntion, if the company then decided to seek huge penalties for breach of contract.

Chen i, however, appeared entirely disinterested in life at this point, seemingly indifferent to everything, only wanting Zhao Rongrong to pay the price.

“I can,” Wu Qiong said, looking at Zhao Rongrong with a cold expression and an unyielding gaze. “You’ve caused this ss, almost dragging the company down with you, what right do you have to plead innocence here? Moreover, until now, you’re still being secretive and unwilling to tell the truth. You’re digging your own grave.”

Tears flowed non-stop from Zhao Rongrong’s eyes, once again crying bitterly.

“Enough,” Zhao Xuanglang couldn’t stand it anymore, “After doing such vile deeds, you still have the face to cry here.”

“Just let her cry it out!” Zhong Niangyao said indifferently with a light smile, “Anyway, she doesn’t have many days left. Consider it mourning in advance for herself!”

Upon hearing this, Zhao Rongrong’s movents froze imdiately, her tears no longer able to flow.

Chen i, upon hearing Zhong Niangyao’s words, seed to recall sothing. Her eyes brightened, and she quickly stood up, rushing to kneel in front of Zhong Niangyao. She pleaded earnestly, “Master, it was all my fault just now, I shouldn’t have distrusted you.”

“All this is my fault, but my child is innocent. Please, save him, don’t let his soul disperse.”

After saying this, she began to kowtow earnestly.

Her kowtows were genuine, without any pretense, making a thudding noise on the floor. In no ti, her forehead was bruised, oozing fresh trickles of blood.

Everyone present was sowhat moved by such a scene.

Although Chen i had partaken in raising a little ghost with Zhao Rongrong, a detestable act, her current pitiable state evoked sympathy.
