Chapter 151: Chapter 151 Zhao Rongrong

A mont later, everyone took their seats, and Wu Qiong watched Zhong Niangyao seated there. Although sowhat puzzled, she didn’t harbor too many doubts. She was well aware of her sister’s character; sotis she liked to joke around, but on important matters, she was always clear-cut and decisive.

As Wu Qiong was sizing her up, Zhong Niangyao was doing the sa. A trace of confusion flashed in her eyes, for she didn’t see any significant issues on Wu Qiong’s face recently. Although there were so minor hiccups, they were nothing major.

Soon, Mrs. Zhao’s words directly cleared up Zhong Niangyao’s confusion.

“Nianyao, actually, the reason behind calling you here is that an artist from my sister’s company has encountered so supernatural events,” Mrs. Zhao said straightforwardly. “My sister runs a performing arts company; you must have heard of her company—Haoxing dia. The one who’s experienced an incident is a rising starlet whom her company is strongly promoting.”

Zhong Niangyao nodded and then spoke, “I understand. Where’s the person in question?”

“She’ll be here shortly,” Wu Qiong replied with a smile. “We’ll be troubling you then.”

...

The mishap involved Zhao Rongrong from their company, into whom the company had invested a great deal of resources. If sothing happened to Zhao Rongrong at this ti, it would be a significant loss for the company.

Recently, she was quite troubled by the incident and had ntioned it to her sister, who then directly recomnded Zhong Niangyao. She also revealed the incident of soone altering Zhao Xuanglang’s fate.

Without hesitation, she imdiately asked her sister to help arrange a eting.

As they were talking, a servant led two people inside. The woman at the front, with her long, straight black hair and facial features that, while not stunningly beautiful, combined to create a pure and abstinent aura, was undoubtedly a goddess in the hearts of many indoor enthusiasts.

At her side was a woman dressed like a professional elite in a sharp business suit, sporting gold-rimd glasses, her eyes occasionally flashing with astuteness.

However, both of them bore a faint tiredness on their faces, and around them lingered a barely perceptible dark aura.

After entering, they promptly greeted Wu Qiong who was seated there, “Mr. Wu, hello.”

Then they nodded to Mrs. Zhao and Zhao Xuanglang, “Mrs. Zhao, Mr. Zhao.”

“Please, take a seat!” Wu Qiong gestured toward the seats across from her and introduced them to Zhong Niangyao, “This is Zhao Rongrong and her agent, Chen i.”

Zhao Rongrong and Chen i took their seats as instructed; they had t Mrs. Zhao and Zhao Xuanglang before but had never seen Zhong Niangyao.

Watching Zhong Niangyao seated there, Zhao Rongrong couldn’t help feeling wary. The other’s appearance was simply too attention-grabbing; such beauty was rare even in the entertainnt circle. If Mr. Wu decided to promote that girl, her own position would be at risk.

Now that the company was promoting her, she had access to many excellent resources, but if soone were to share in these, then her resources would surely decrease. She was worried that the company might give up on her due to the recent events.

Chen i, on the other hand, couldn’t help but size up Zhong Niangyao, her eyes shimring with brilliance. At this mont, she was already thinking about how to turn the girl opposite her into a superstar. Leaving other attributes aside, just her face alone was enough for her to stand firm in the entertainnt industry.

“Alright, Chen i, Rongrong, tell us everything now,” Wu Qiong began. “Ms. Zhong Niangyao here is a master I have specially invited to help out.”

At this statent, Chen i and Zhao Rongrong were both shocked. They hadn’t expected such a beautiful girl to be a master, and so young at that—could she really be reliable?

Regardless of their thoughts, they didn’t show it; after all, this person was invited by Mr. Wu himself, who should be given due respect.

“I’ll speak then!” After glancing at Zhao Rongrong, Chen i started, “Recently, our Rongrong—”

But she was imdiately interrupted.

“Let the person involved speak,” Zhong Niangyao said coolly, though in a way that made it hard to argue, “Speak the truth and don’t try to hide anything. Otherwise, don’t bla if I can’t be of help.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rongrong felt sowhat uncomfortable. She glanced at Chen i and, upon seeing her nod of approval, began to speak slowly, “The truth is, I’ve recently encountered so supernatural events.”

Zhao Rongrong then slowly explained the strange occurrences. Initially, during sleep, she would constantly hear weird noises, but whenever she checked, there was nothing to be found. Soon, the incidents grew more bizarre; she always felt as though soone was stealthily watching her, as though a pair of eyes were constantly shadowing her every move. However, each ti she turned around, she found nothing.

The strange events beca more frequent—blood pouring from the showerhead, the television turning on by itself and only showing horror and murder movies. All of this started to take a toll on her ntal health.

Recently, her life had even been threatened. Walking outside, a flowerpot would fall from a height, missing her by just a step. During filming, the wire that was supposed to secure her suddenly snapped, and she fell down. Fortunately, it wasn’t from a great height, and she only sustained minor injuries. The wire had been inspected just before the accident.

Initially thinking soone was out to harm her, she even reported it to the police, but they couldn’t find any evidence.

Of course, she had sought masters’ help, but those she t were all frauds and of no use.

After finishing her story, Zhao Rongrong couldn’t help crying, “I really can’t bear these days any longer; I don’t know how much longer I can hold on.”

Her pure face wet with tears, it’s the kind of sight that could confound any man.

However, every person present was astute, and even the inexperienced Zhao Xuanglang remained unmoved by the sight of a beautiful woman in tears.

“Have you finished?” Zhong Niangyao looked at Zhao Rongrong. “Are you sure you’ve told us everything?”

“What do you an?” Chen i’s tone couldn’t help but carry a hint of dissatisfaction. “Are you suggesting our Rongrong is lying? She’s the victim here. Shouldn’t you be looking for a solution? Why do you keep challenging her?”
