Levi wasn’t lying. He wanted to properly court Mia and even date her despite already knowing how she felt. He truly wanted to treat her right as a woman, unlike before where most often than not, he would tease and bully her to no end.

’Slowly?! But I’m not sure if we can even be together for a long ti after all this!’ Mia inwardly frowned. She wanted badly to voice out her thoughts despite how her heart was already lting from hearing Levi’s plans for their relationship.

Without so much as a warning, Levi pulled Mia to the side of the bed for them to sit right beside one another. He then held her hand, his touch akin to soone taking care of sothing so delicate and gentle as he turned to her and asked, "What is it, Mia? I’ve been working with you long enough to know that sothing’s bothering you."

Mia’s shoulders dropped as she gave in to her prodding. Looking at him, she said, "I feel like I don’t have much ti, Levi. I simply wanted to be with you and make the most out of it while it could last. With King Marcus awake, we both know that we can die at any mont. He just doesn’t trust us anymore." She sighed, "For now, he might be keeping us around in consideration for the Boss, but I’m sure he’ll find a way to get rid of soon, especially once he finds out that I... that I..."

As Mia found herself choking at her own words, Levi finally got a grasp of what was truly happening. Mia was scared because she knew she had done sothing that could be construed to be an action against King Marcus.

"Mia, you have to tell what really happened while you’re at the Convel Society," Levi asked, his eyes pleading for Mia to trust him and share her burden with him. "If we want our relationship to work, we have to trust each other and share each other’s happiness and weaknesses. That way, I can be your strength when you’re weak, and you can be my strength during my tough tis," he convinced, gently squeezing on Mia’s hand, who seed to already be zoning out.

Snapping herself back to reality, Mia bit her lower lip as she started, "Tyrone is Nathan Yue, the King of Convel Society, and I want to help him beat King Marcus so that the Boss can finally get her freedom from King Marcus’s manipulative sches..."

There was a deafening silence for the briefest of monts. Levi was shocked to hear about what Mia was planning, but it was sothing that he already expected from her. After all, if he was in her shoes, he probably would’ve done the sa thing.

"Tell exactly what’s going on," Levi sternly demanded, his eyes staring keenly at the woman as he waited.

Buckling under his gaze, Mia let out a deep sigh before starting to narrate everything that she had been up to with Levi. The latter did nothing to interrupt her as he listened carefully to all the details, taking in every single iota of information that might’ve slipped his grasp. By the ti she was finished, Levi held a small frown as he then looked at his wristwatch.

"There’s a few more hours left," he mumbled out loud. "Let’s do ths together, Mia, and I won’t take no for an answer."

"But it’s dangerous," Mia quickly refuted, her voice shaking with fear. If Nathan and his team would ever fail... then surely he’d perish along with her..

Despite her warning, Levi gave Mia a reassuring smile. He even pinched her on the nose as he mumbled, "You’re so silly, Mia. Cute, but silly. Do you really think I’ll let you have all the fun on your own while I’m stuck here snoring? That’ll never happen." He scoffed, "Didn’t you know? I’d also do the sa thing if I were you. So tell , have you found where Randall’s keeping the hostages?"

Taken aback, Mia didn’t know what else to do as she hesitantly shook her head.

"Tsk... tsk... Look at you slacking around," Levi clicked his tongue as he teasingly scolded. "And even planned on having a one-night stand with when you haven’t completed your task yet? Sha on you." Levis teasingly scolded Mia.

At his words, Mia blushed a deep red as she pouted, trying her best to hide her embarrassnt with her own words. "That’s why I thought I should at least experience sothing morable with you just in case. Don’t you-"

She couldn’t even finish her though as Levi placed his index finger on her lips. With a small smile, he whispered, "We’ll experience it together later, okay? After things have settled down, we’ll have our mont."

A terse silence settled between them, Levi falling into a deep thought as Mia found herself waiting for the unspoken words to co out.

"W-What is it?" she finally spoke, her patience wearing thin at the eerie quiet.

"It’s just the Boss. I’m sure she won’t stay idle," Levi muttered. "She’s planning sothing."

"Yeah, that’s what I have in mind too," Mia agreed. "I already told Nathan about it, but he’s already dead-set on his decision to not hand the Boss back over to the Moon Clan unless King Marcus is dead."

"But there’s no guarantee he can even save the hostages if he manages to kill King Marcus," Levi worryingly postulated. "We both know that Randall only follows instructions directly from the King, and I’m sure he already has a back-up plan ready to fire if even the slightest signs of going awry ever showed up. So why not accept my help so we can find the hostages faster?" Levi suggested.

Cornered and convinced, Mia could only nod as she finally conceded to Levi’s help. Hand in hand, both of them walked towards the control room, while Draki, who had seen them during a light stroll, followed behind them.

Feeling sothing following them, Mia turned her head, noting the wolf’s presence as she quickly knelt down. "I’m sure you’re already missing the Boss," she smiled, petting the wolf as it wagged its tail in appreciation.

Reaching their destination, Mia was about to sit on her chair, but she was startled when Levi suddenly pulled her in close and enveloped her in a warm hug. She didn’t say a single word, only electing to extend her arms out and lt into his broad back.

"Everything will be fine," Levi whispered soothingly into her ears. "I’m sure the Boss won’t let anything happen to us. She’ll be back soon, so let’s chill out, okay?" He then nuzzled into her neck, his tone taking on a serious lilt as he continued, "Stop thinking about crazy stuff like what you just did for a while, yeah? Next ti, I’ll definitely take advantage of your offer."

Relishing his presence, Mia chuckled as she said, "I really don’t mind, Levi. If you want, you can even take advantage of right now..."

At her seductive suggestion, Levi returned her chuckle with one of his own. Gently pushing Mia forward he elected to kiss her forehead instead.

"Stop saying things like that and let’s go to work," Levi smiled. "I’ve finished recharging already, and there’s still so stuff to be done."

Deep inside, Levi knew very well that he was no saint. However, he was still a man who could control himself well enough. He had standards, and he didn’t want to rush things when it ca to relationships.
