"Here for a reason?!" When Ace heard those words, he rembered his unpleasant exchange with Joanna and got angrier.
"What business do you have? Don’t blabber, or I’ll ban you."
After that, Ace continued to bury himself in work. He had a cold aura around him, as though he was an iceberg completely. isolated from the world.
"Gee. Ace’s really pissed!" Ethan thought and gulped. He finally realized Rose’s good intentions in telling him to co back another day.
As Ethan turned to Rose, trying to ask for help, Rose obligingly smiled at him and left. "Mr. Ethan, please feel free and talk to Mr. Moran. I’m going back to work."
And then... She just left like that!
"Damn! Rose, seriously?!"
Ethan watched Rose as she casually locked the door and left the room. He suddenly felt a sense of despair, like he’d been strategically fed to the beast.
’Nevermind,’ he thought. "I’m here already. Might as carry on."
After all, who else would suffer here if not him?
"Ahem!"
Ethan took a long ti before he finally mustered the courage to talk to Ace, whose face had been cold the whole ti." Ace, it’s just you and here. If you really feel bad, just cry it out. Numbing
yourself with work won’t solve the problem. It’s okay. Just cry. It’s not embarrassing for n to cry!"
Confused, Ace looked up at Ethan, who looked like an idiot. He pursed his lips and said nothing.
"We’re brothers. Relax. We’ve seen the video where you knelt to beg your ex–wife to stay. I never thought you’d love her so much. Well, she’s not really my type, but I’ll accept it since you like her."
Ethan recalled the few tis he had t Joanna in person. He could not help but shake his head in disbelief.
He failed to understand how Ace could fall for a girl like Joanna and love her so much. His taste in won was so different.
"Ace, you need to do sothing. You may not have much experience in love, but you should’ve been able to deal with a girl like Joanna. Why does she have more control over you? That won’t do..."
Ethan patted his chest and encouraged. "You’re better than in business, but I’m better than you in love. It looks like it’s ti. to teach you so tips on courting won. We have to win this!"
Ace was arrogant and cold, "I was drunk and spouting nonsense in the video. The video is irrelevant, also. She’s my ex- wife. She’s not your type, but does it matter? Don’t get yourself involved."
"Wait, hey! Ace, what’s with that tone? Are you showing your possessiveness over her?"
Ethan showed a aningful smile and urged, "Stop wasting ti. Just man up and be straightforward. Do you have feelings for her? Do you want to get her back? If so, I have plenty of ways to help you get her back!"
"I can’t be interested in her!" Ace smiled coldly, his handso face marred with disdain.
Joanna was not his type at all. Ace would have done sothing during their four years of marriage if he had any interest in her. Instead, they were married but did not do anything a normal couple would do.
Ace was sure that he had no feelings for Joanna. However, deep down, he could not avoid reacting to Joanna’s every move...
Ace thought about it and concluded that his feelings stemd from his unwillingness to lose.
He was unwilling to lose dominion over the woman who once loved him deeply. How could she stop loving him? Therefore, he had to find a way to make Joanna fall in love with him again.
It wasn’t unlike the feeling of a beast that wanted to conquer its prey!
Ace’s anger subsided as soon as he figured out his feelings for Joanna. He beca more open and calr. "I don’t like her. but she must love , so..."
Ace turned to Ethan with a cold and proud look. He asked arrogantly. "Do you really have a way to get her to change her
mind and be deeply in love with again?"
"Ahem!" Ethan was surprised at Ace’s sudden change in attitude. He hurriedly said, "Of course. I’ve been in so many relationships. If you’re willing to learn, I guarantee Joanna will be in love with you again within a month!"
Ace gave him a nod. "Teach !"
As soon as Ace agreed, Ethan tried to negotiate a deal. "I can teach you, but you must promise one thing after the job is done."
"Sure." Ace agreed without hesitation, which surprised Ethan.
Ethan could tell Ace was serious about learning the tricks to court won and thought, ’Oh, dear. Ace must’ve seriously fallen in love"
Ace grabbed his notebook. With a pen, he wrote "How to court a woman" in strong handwriting. Ethan took a glance and almost burst out laughing.
"Ace, oh, Ace. Everyone says you’re as cold as an iceberg. Why do I feel like you’re such a dork? Learn how to court a woman by understanding, not by reading. Why are you taking notes?"
Ace said with a blank face. "There are rules to follow for everything. Courting a woman is no different. I’m not only taking notes, but I’m going to do an analysis later. I’ll compare various thods and increase the sample data to evaluate the reasonableness and feasibility of your teachings."
"Are you serious? Do you have to go that far?"
Ace acted as if he was performing a feasibility test on a multi–billion project, which pushed Ethan’s pressure sky–high.
"I take everything I do seriously." Ace looked up at Ethan with a warning gaze. "You better be serious at teaching. If it doesn’t work, you’re finished."
Ethan suddenly felt nervous. Knowing Ace, he was not joking.
It seed that Ace was really anxious this ti. Ethan had underestimated Joanna. He thought she was just a demure young
lady, but she really had her grip on Ace, and tightly as well.
"Ahem!" Ethan cleared his throat and said solemnly. "In that case, I’ll teach you everything I’ve learned so far. As long as you do what I say, it’s guaranteed to work."
Ace’s handso face lit up with expectation. He urged with a slight frown, "Cut the nonsense! Hurry up!"
"Before I start, I want to state sothing. I’ve had girlfriends of all types, so I have sufficient experience. Don’t question my professionalism."
Ethan knew his relationship history was not the best, but he was much more experienced than Ace, who was in only one relationship and was eventually dumped.
"There are two thods in courting a woman. You either court them with money or sincerity. With our status, most won will co to us automatically, but there’ll be that remaining one percent that money can’t satisfy. It’ll take a lot of effort to court. them."
"Your ex–wife Joanna is clearly a kind of drear. She doesn’t know the suffering of the world and cares about true love. You’ll need to spend a lot of effort to get her."
Ethan could not help but shake her head again as he spoke of Joanna. He feared won like Joanna the most. Won like her did not care about money. They only cared about feelings. They were not only hard to satisfy, but also the most dangerous. Being trapped in love would an disaster.
Ace was already unlike himself in the early stages of the relationship. One could only imagine what would happen in the later stages.
Therefore, Ethan would never get romantically involved with won like Joanna!
Ace nodded in agreent. "Yes. She’s a fool living in a dream. She demands to cut ties with my family and . Is she completely unaware of the dangerous world outside? How do I chase this fool?"
"It’s simple. Just rember this."
Ethan shared generously with no reservations, "Cast your net and make it work!"
Although puzzled, Ace diligently took notes. He looked up at Ethan and ordered him, "Elaborate."
"First, let explain step one. You have to be bold enough to make your presence felt. There’s an old saying that says. Constant pursuit will win the lady. Send her daily ssages from day to night. Share photos of your day and occasionally bring her out on a date. You can go for a al, a movie, a concert, and so on. Anyway, hang around her at all tis..."
"No way!" Ace rejected the first step straight away. "I’m not that free."
"Then why bother to learn the tricks? Just stay single forever," Ethan said and then added. "You may not have ti to date, but you’ll always have ti to chat, don’t you? Can’t you do it over toilet breaks? You can send her a ssage saying you miss her. Will it really take so much ti?"
Ace fell silent.
"You can’t even do that?"
"That’s not the main issue."
"So what’s the problem?"
"The problem is... She blocked !"
"Huh? Joanna blocked you?"
Ethan could not stop laughing when he heard this. "Hahahaha! No way! Seriously? Ace, I didn’t know this would ever happen
to you!"
"Shut up!"
Ace held his forehead, feeling deeply embarrassed.
Ethan bit his lip and tried to hold back his laughter. At last, he said seriously, "It’s okay. It’s okay. We can still fix it!"
