A tinge of panic crept into Shirley’s eyes, but she was an actress who had undergone professional training, so she soon regained her wits. "Oh, that... She lifted her chin and smiled at Clara, but the provocation was clear.
"Stop pretending. You know it isn’t as simple as that." Clara was so angry that she rushed to Shirley to confront her.
"Miss Blackwell, please behave yourself. Shirley is a celebrity, so please keep so distance from her." The agent extended her hand to block Shirley from Clara.
Shirley looked at Ethan and sneered, "I didn’t expect your taste to be this... special."
"What do you an? Speak clearly!" Clara demanded, sensing that Shirley was mocking her.
"Mr. Jiminez, didn’t you say we were about to start shooting? Why is everyone still standing here?" Shirley ignored Clara as she asked Adam sweetly.
"This..." Adam swallowed and looked at Ethan. "We were about to start but Mr. Stuart ca, so it was delayed. We’re waiting for his order."
"Just go ahead with your shooting. Don’t delay it because of us." Ethan put his hands in his pockets and ordered.
Hence, the team started filming.
Based on the original script, Shirley would take a few guests up the mountain as the main heroine to pick mushrooms for today’s lunch. The mountain was a few miles away, so going up and down the mountain would easily take more than half a day.
That ant that Clara might lose the chance to confront Shirley.
"No!" Clara stepped forward and said suddenly, "Mr. Jiminez, didn’t you say you want to invite us as mystery guests? Why don’t Ethan and I be the mystery guests for this show and go pick mushrooms with Shirley?"
She felt that she would be able to get the truth out of Shirley as long as she was near her at all tis.
"Er, that..." Adam wiped away his sweat, uncertain of what to do.
The guests for every show were fixed in advance, and the script had already been finalized too. If two people joined the show all of a sudden without any script, accidents would happen very easily. For example, the show might be too boring or the guests might be too wild, and then it would be hard to edit the show later. Previously, he invited Ethan to join the show as a guest out of cordiality and to gain his favor. If Ethan agreed to it, Adam did not dare to say no.
Shirley naturally did not want Clara to make trouble, so she asked Adam coldly, ’Mr. Jiminez, you’ve always been cautious in your work, and you hate people who pull strings. Since the guests for a show are fixed in advance, people can’t co and join the show at random, right?"

Clara looked at Ethan and indicated to him to agree to it imdiately.
Clara now realized that Ethan had the final say here.
"Do you want to say yes?" Ethan imdiately understood Clara’s intense look, and smiled mischievously at her.
"Of course!" Clara gritted her teeth and whispered in his ear," You know why we ca, so we have to keep an eye on Shirley at all tis to find the truth as soon as possible."
"What’s in it for if I agree?"
"What do you want?" Clara clenched her fists angrily. ’Even at a ti like this, that scumbag still wants to take advantage of . How inhumane!’
"Not much... I just want you to obey for the next few days." Ethan pouted at her and whined, "You bullied so much the past few days, it really broke my heart..."
Clara cursed inwardly but forced a smile onto her face. "You want to listen to you? Sure, you’re the king here now, so everyone will listen to you!"
"That’s right!" Ethan touched Clara’s head in satisfaction as if he was petting an animal.
Everyone saw how they whispered to each other like a young couple, and figured that Clara was very special to Ethan. Thus, they fawned over Clara even more.
"Miss Blackwell is so cool and fun."
"What’s more, she looks obedient. Maybe she’ll beco popular after this show."
"If it’s possible, Miss Blackwell’s participation in the show will certainly cause ripples. There’ll surely be drama if anything happens between her and Miss White during filming."
Shirley looked at Ethan and frowned. "Are you going to say yes? You’re the president of Universal Entertainnt, but you’re bending over backwards just to please a woman!"
"So what if he’s a president? He’s a human just like everyone else. It’s just a variety show, it’s not like he’s going to suffer," Clara scoffed. "I recall that your first movie was with Ace, the CEO of Moran Enterprise. Mr. Moran beca an actor just to gain his wife’s heart. Ethan doesn’t feel that he’s wrong to join a variety show either, but you think we’ve wronged him. If you keep this up, people might get the wrong idea and think you’re from a noble background. Why don’t you tell us what kind of background you have?"
"Why, you!" Shirley gnashed her teeth. She wanted to argue but couldn’t say anything. Her background had been a taboo topic for her, and she had worked hard in the entertainnt circle for so many years to get rid of the humiliation brought on by her family. However, Clara’s words pulled Shirley back to reality.
When she put it that way, others might feel that Shirley was not a princess but just put on airs as if she was one.
"It’s getting late. Let’s not delay the progress of the crew," Ethan finally said. "I’m not interested in picking mushrooms but Clara is, so I’ll shoot this show with her for commorative purposes."
"Oh, great! I believe that this show will be a wonderful one." Adam knew that he could not dissuade Ethan, so he agreed to it reluctantly.
Hence, everyone set off for the depths of the mountains.
