"Am I that annoying? Why don’t you want in your life?" Ace lay flat on the bed,
unexpectedly calm as he t Joanna’s gaze and asked her.
Although he seed to have so kind of grudge against her and she conspired with
Quinton and nearly got him killed...
For so reason, he could not bring himself to hate her. On the contrary, he couldn’t help but want to be near her. It had beco his subconscious habit.
It was exactly what happened this ti around. He was indeed Benjamin’s partner, but he did not have to lower himself to co here. He had only co because he had heard she would be here, and thus, he shalessly and eagerly followed her.
Why? He yearned to know the answer.
"I’ve thought about it for a long ti, and I’ve decided that I must recover my lost mories.
Do you know how to help do that?" Ace asked her seriously.
"Yes, I have a lot of ways..."
"Tell !"
"For instance..." Joanna leaned in close to his ear as if she were about to make so kind of grand statent.
Patiently, Ace waited for a long ti. However, all he heard was her soft snores.
Ace was stunned. How could this woman fall asleep at such a critical mont?! He
wanted to wake her up and get to the bottom of it, but he knew she had gone through a lot earlier. She had escaped from that madman Benjamin and then donated blood, so he just let her sleep.
Joanna could not lay still throughout the night. She tossed and turned, hugging him or sleeping on him as if he was a pillow. She even kicked and punched him from ti to ti.
Sotis, he was convinced she wasn’t asleep and was doing all this on purpose.
At one point, she hugged his shoulders from the back, snuggling her face on his broad back.
"Do you want to sleep or not?" Ace hissed as he turned around to teach her a lesson.
However, when he saw her childish and innocent sleeping face, his anger quickly subsided.
Helplessly, he adjusted his posture and let her rest her head on him more comfortably.
"You’re so good." With her eyes closed, Joanna moved her head slightly and hugged him tighter. It had been a very long ti since she had experienced this. He was warm and strong, which made her feel safe. Hence, she slept very well.
At first, Ace thought that the night would go on peacefully like this, but unfortunately,sothing went wrong in the middle of the night.
"Damn it!" Ace’s whole body was burning hot, and a thin layer of sweat coated his
forehead. He felt like he was about to explode. It might have been the strong deer blood, but a fire soon burned in his heart. He stared at the woman in his arms, filled with desire.
No, he might do sothing bad if this went on. He had to find a way to suppress this heat.
After dwelling on it for a while, he decided to go to the bathroom to have a cold shower.
Ace gently pulled Joanna off him, then entered the shower. Standing under the shower, he let the cold water cool down his burning body..
While Ace was taking a shower, he heard so noise. He turned around, and to his
shock, Joanna entered the bathroom.
"What... What are you doing?’ Ace was frozen, so pale he looked like he had seen a ghost. He dared not move at all.
"I’m going to take a bath," Joanna muttered tonelessly. After that, she slowly walked towards the shower and stood in front of Ace, facing him. "I’m too hot. I need to shower."
"I... Umm..." Ace couldn’t look away as water flowed down her body. Her long hair was drenched, and so were her clothes. They stuck to her body, showing off her curvy figure.
His mouth went dry, and he stared at her hungrily. ’Damn it, she’s not helping the situation!’
"It’s so refreshing!" Joanna sighed blissfully and leaned her head back to enjoy the water splashing on her face.
"Woman, what are you trying to do?’ Ace finally growled. At first, he was embarrassed since he was naked. Though his sculpted body looked like a piece of art, he was still very shy about showing himself in front of a woman.
However, it was clear that Joanna was unconcerned. Even though she was standing under the shower and facing him, there was no trace of desire on her face-she looked like she was just there to take a bath. Naturally, he relaxed.
"Hmm, it’s so refreshing... It feels great!" Joanna ignored his words and touched her wet hair, looking innocent and happy.
"You want to seduce but you pretend like you’re not interested in .Why?" At first, Ace wanted to pull her over and interrogate her. If her answer satisfied
him, he might have even granted her wish.
But soon, he realised sothing was odd.
She showered and talked, but she didn’t seem to notice him at all.
Was she... sleepwalking?
After the realisation dawned on him, he held his breath and did not move. There was a saying that people who were sleepwalking should not be awakened, or else, they would be scared to death.
If she suddenly woke up and found that she was showering with a naked man, she might be very humiliated even if she was not scared to death.
"Cutie, let hug you." Halfway through her bath, she reached out and hugged his neck.
She then whispered, "After I moved, I didn’t hug you for a long ti. I miss you so much..."
Ace was silent. He let her hug him, and stood rooted to the spot. He did not dare move at all, despite his discomfort. This was a test of his morality, and his willpower as a man.
The problem was that the woman in his arms was beautiful.

But even if he had his doubts, he did not dare to wake her up. If she wasn’t pretending, it would be troubleso to have to force her to wake up.
