"What do you want from ? Just say it." Ace knew Quinton would not let them go just like that. Quinton was vengeful and would not stop until he tortured Ace.
"It’s simple. I just received an order from an old custor. He’s old and needs a strong heart. He wants a strong heart from soone powerful and strong, so he has his eye on you. After all, you’re the second young master of the Moran family. You’re the only one deserving of the title in the City," Quinton said, smiling casually as if he was talking about the weather. "So, if you willingly cooperate with my surgeon and give your heart to my client, I’ll release Miss Murphy."
"No, never!" Seraphina had been hiding behind Ace, but when she heard that, she ran in front of Ace and held her arms out to block the way. She no longer cared about anything at this mont.
"You freak! Devil! You can find the right heart for a little money, but you want Ace’s. What you really want is his life! Don’t even think about it! I won’t let you hurt him!" Seraphina snapped.
Quinton ignored Seraphina and looked at Ace with a wide smile. "What do you think, Mr. Moran? Are you willing to sacrifice your heart for Miss Murphy? She sacrificed her body for you just now, you know. The ti has co to put your feelings to the test..."
"If I cooperate with you, you’ll let her go, right?" Ace asked tonelessly.
"Of course!" Quinton raised his brows. "I might be a blood-loving maniac and the Night Demon, but I keep my word and do what I say."
"I’ll cooperate." Once he got Quinton’s word, Ace agreed without hesitating. "Let her go. I’ll get the operation done."
Seraphina pulled Ace’s arm, feeling devastated. She was moved yet heartbroken by his sacrifice.
Seraphina cried miserably, "Ace, don’t talk nonsense! I’ll always be with you. If sothing happens to you, I won’t live... I’m not leaving. I’m staying with you, and I’ll protect you. Even if I die, I’ll never leave you!"
"Listen. You shouldn’t have gotten yourself involved in the first place..." Ace turned around and tapped Seraphina’s head like he did when they were kids, and said with a faint smile, "Don’t you know that the thing that scared the most when we were kids was the thought of you crying. If you really want to do a favor, stop crying and go ho."
Quinton furrowed his brows deeply at the touching mont, his expression growing increasingly complicated.
"How brave! The Moran family is truly courageous!" Quinton smirked, then waved his hand and ordered his n, "Take him to the operation room."
"No, you can’t do this, you can’t..." Seraphina held onto Ace and would not let go. She kicked and bit the n that ca for him but was separated from Ace eventually.
Soon, Ace was taken into a small, dark room. However, for him, it was the sa anywhere – dark and pitch black.
Quinton said coldly, "Well, well. It looks like it’s true love between you and Miss Murphy, even at such critical monts. You’re an unloyal scumbag, Mr. Moran. I really feel bad for my sister!"
Ace’s handso face was blank as he said coldly, "When will the surgery be done? Hurry up."
"What’s the rush? Are you in a hurry to die?" Quinton rolled his eyes and scoffed. He had to admit that Ace was really a warrior that was fearless of death.
Quinton took out a docunt and slipped a pen into Ace’s hand. "First, sign on this voluntary donation agreent. We’re running a pawn business, so we require both parties’ consent in all transactions."
Ace did not say much and signed his na with a few strokes.
Quinton shook his head at Ace’s signature. "I knew emotion is a weakness. You’re supposed to be invincible, but you’re too emotionally invested and ended up in this situation. Well, you deserve it..."
"I’m a dying man. You can cut the crap." For the first ti, Ace felt that Quinton was not just a freak. He was also talkative, which was really annoying.
"Any last words?" Quinton asked sweetly.
After a short silence, Ace said softly, "May my loved ones be happy for the rest of their lives."
Ace’s reply surprised Quinton again. "Gee. n like you are really so stubborn in love. How tragic!"
Ace did not know when he passed out, but he was sitting in a car when he woke up.
Ace was a little dazed. He touched his chest subconsciously and thought, ’It seems... my heart is still there. It’s still beating.’
"Damn. What happened?" Ace had a terrible headache. He couldn’t see and didn’t know where he was.
Suddenly, he heard Susan’s miserable cries. "It’s Ace. It’s really Ace. He’s back! Oh, thank God!"
Susan hugged him so tightly she almost crushed him.
"Mom?" Ace frowned slightly and called out, feeling unsure.

"Son! I’m right here. You’ve suffered so much, my poor boy!" Susan said agitatedly. During the days of Ace’s disappearance, Susan cried all day and night. She seed to have aged ten years from crying so much.
"Son, where the hell have you been all this ti? We searched the whole of the City but couldn’t find you. Are you okay? Who had the audacity to do this to you? We must take revenge. Our family..." Susan started heatedly, but was soon interrupted by Ace.
"Mom, where am I now?"
"Silly boy, where do you think? You drove ho yourself. Don’t you recognize our gate?"
"I didn’t drive back."
"What do you an? Why are you in the driver’s seat then? Don’t you recognize your own ho? It’s dark, but it’s not that hard to see at night? What... exactly have you been through?" Susan asked hesitantly.
"I’m sorry, Mom, for making you worry," Ace said quietly. It seed that Quinton had shown rcy and spared his life. However, it was very much unlike him. Could it be...
Ace felt worried at that thought. "Mom, do you have your phone? Call Seraphina for and ask if she arrived ho safely."
"Okay. That girl said she found out your whereabouts and swore to bring you back safely. I knew Seraphina was the most reliable..." Susan rambled on as she dialed Seraphina’s number.
Coincidentally, Seraphina stumbled out of a taxi in front of the Moran Residence.
"Seraphina, over here! Ace is back!" Susan waved at Seraphina excitedly.
"Miss Susan!" Seraphina’s legs went limp as soon as she saw Susan. She collapsed on the ground and cried in despair.
"What’s wrong? What’s the matter? The two of you... what have you been through? Were you hurt?" Susan held Seraphina comfortingly. However, when she saw Seraphina’s torn clothes and bruised skin, uneasiness blood in her heart.
"I-I’m fine. How is Ace? Is he really back?" Seraphina asked incredulously.
"Yes, but he’s acting strange. He drove ho himself but asked where he was. It’s as if he’s blind..." Susan paused abruptly, then her body turned cold at her sudden realization.
"N-No. It can’t be..." Susan was afraid to face the truth. In fact, the entire Moran family would be afraid to accept it!
