Ding!
[A Hidden Quest has appeared!]
"H-Hidden Quest?!" I blurted out, genuinely surprised by such an unexpected quest.
RUMBLE!
At this mont, the ground was still shaking violently, and I was doing my best to maintain my balance.
[Hidden Quest (Optional): Help the injured Vampire Demigod]
[Reward: You’ll receive a mystical key that grants you access to "The Tower of Self."]
"V-Vampire?!!" I stamred, fear creeping in. Ever since John—the vampire who tortured and caused so much pain—I’d been haunted by trauma and bad mories of anything related to vampires. And now, this hidden quest requires to help a goddamn vampire? Seriously? You’ve got to be kidding .
Wait a minute! Demigod?! Isn’t that so kind of higher being?! So it’s not just an ordinary vampire, but a goddamn Vampire Demigod?! Holy shit, what the hell is going on here?!
Hold on, the hidden quest is optional, which ans I have a choice to accept or reject it, right? Hmm... should I go for it? I an, it’s just an injured Vampire Demigod, so it should be harmless, right? Then again, not like it matters if I die anyway since I can always regenerate back to life, so dying isn’t really an issue.
Anyway, the most important thing is that the reward for this hidden quest is a mystical key, which grants access to "The Tower of Self." But the real question is: What exactly is "The Tower of Self?" What’s the point of going in there? Is it even worth it? That’s what I need to figure out.
At this mont, the ground finally stopped shaking, and the tremors gradually subsided. The aftermath of the chaos had left its mark—almost all the trees around had been blown away, their trunks snapped or uprooted, with only a few stubborn ones still standing, struggling to remain upright.
Oh... it finally stopped.
I let out a breath I didn’t realize I was holding. The stillness that followed felt almost surreal after the violent shaking, but it also gave the quiet space I needed to think.
What now? My mind began to wander as I weighed my options. I was still unsure about what to do next, especially regarding this Hidden Quest. Should I accept it, or should I turn it down? The choice wasn’t clear, and I wasn’t sure if it was even worth the risk.
...
...
Five minutes later...
I thought about it for a good five minutes before deciding. I wasn’t sure how tough this hidden quest would be, but since I had nothing else to do right now and plenty of free ti, I figured, why not give it a shot?
Once I made up my mind, I didn’t waste any ti. I hit the "Yes" button on the hologram screen, jumping straight into the Hidden Quest.
[You’ve accepted the Hidden Quest!]
[Hidden Quest will start now!]
As soon as the notification flashed on the screen, a glowing quest marker appeared in front of . Just like last ti, it hovered in midair, pointing in the direction I needed to go. The marker pulsed briefly before a trail of arrow light appeared, guiding forward, and I could tell the journey had already started.
"Alright, let’s do this!" I said, feeling pumped.
SPRINT!
It was a mix of excitent and fear, as I didn’t know what kind of person this Vampire Demigod was. I could only pray he or she’d be a good person, not so psycho who took pleasure in torturing and tornting others. I knew I shouldn’t stereotype all vampires as bad, but because of that bastard John, my view of vampires had beco unfavorable.
I followed the glowing quest arrow marker, pushing myself to sprint at full speed. Since the hidden quest said, ’Help the injured Vampire Demigod,’ I figured I couldn’t waste any more ti—the Vampire Demigod must be in critical condition based on the quest’s instructions.
WHOOSH!
...
...
Approximately an hour or two later...
I finally reached my destination, standing at the very edge of a towering cliff. Below , a massive crater stretched out, its depth almost impossible to gauge from where I stood. The ground around it was scarred, as if sothing imnse had crashed down and left a gaping wound in the earth.
Holy shit.
I couldn’t even begin to wrap my head around what had happened here. This wasn’t just any ordinary disaster. The crater was far too large for sothing as simple as an earthquake. No, this looked like the aftermath of an asteroid impact. The sheer scale of it all was mind-boggling.
I see. So it wasn’t an earthquake all along, but an asteroid from space, huh? Either way, this is rather interesting.
Hmm, I’m surprised this planet is still doing fine after being hit by an asteroid. I wonder why that is. Maybe the asteroid was too small to have much impact on such a massive planet. Earth was big, but this world is even larger. Maybe that’s why? Or perhaps there’s so kind of magic barrier protecting it? Welp, who knows? It’s not that important right now.
Without wasting any more ti, I imdiately jumped down.

I dropped from the towering cliff and landed on the edge of the crater. Faint dust still lingered in the air from the asteroid impact, but it wasn’t too bad as of now—I could still see pretty clearly.
Following the quest marker arrow, it seed to be guiding toward the center of this massive crater, where I believed the Vampire Demigod was most likely located.
Soon, I reached the center of this crater, but found nothing. There was no sign of the Vampire Demigod around—just a massive underground hole here.
Huh? What the hell is this? Why is there a big hole here? It doesn’t make any sense. Could the asteroid have caused this? I thought that asteroids only created craters upon impact, not huge, deep holes like this one. It didn’t seem possible that sothing like this could result from the impact alone.
I stood there, staring at the massive dark hole, trying to make sense of it. The only explanation that ca to mind was that the Vampire Demigod had to be the one behind this—maybe so kind of power or ability he or she had triggered.
Welp, no turning back now. Let’s check it out! JUMP!
