Ti passed, and I continued doing my daily quest exercises while waiting for John. Eventually, out of nowhere, I heard footsteps of soone approaching here:

STEP-STEP! TAP-TAP!

In an instant, I knew that John was coming.

BA-DUM! HEARTBEAT!

Even though I was fully prepared, I couldn’t help but feel a knot of fear tightening in my stomach. My heart was pounding rapidly in my chest, each beat louder than the last, as if my body was betraying my mind’s resolve.

After a short while, the cell door in front of creaked open, and John strolled in like he owned this place—well, he kinda did, seeing as no one was left to oppose him. Bloodstains covered his shirt and pants, adding to his already horrifying presence. His face had this smug, almost playful expression that made want to punch it.

Well, not that my punch would do much anyway with this damned collar draining my strength, but man, I really want to punch this motherfucker in the face so bad. But fuck it! I’ll have to hold back my anger for now. I need him to kill quickly so I can start regenerating and grow stronger after coming back to life.

As of right now, my biggest concern is hoping that John doesn’t ss with my body while I’m regenerating. Because during my period of death, I lose consciousness and beco extrely vulnerable, so it’d be a real problem if John sohow interrupted it or made things worse, as that would really screw over. After all, this sick bastard can be pretty unpredictable sotis.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" John said, his voice dripping with amusent. "Saved the best for last, huh? Nah, just kidding—more like I save the worthless trash for last. Hahaha!"

I didn’t respond, keeping my focus steady. He probably wanted to grovel, beg, or do sothing pathetic to amuse him. Too bad. I wasn’t giving him that satisfaction. Instead, I kept doing my squats. If I was going to die anyway at the hands of this bastard, I’d at least max out my daily exercises first before my ti is up.

John tilted his head, clearly entertained. "Still working out, huh? Gotta say, you’re one strange guy. Everyone else was too scared to even breathe, but you? You’re out here doing your weird exercises. Seriously, did you lose your mind because you know you’re about to die or sothing?"

I didn’t stop exercising or even look at John, though my heart was racing like crazy. "Gotta keep busy," I muttered, keeping my tone casual. "Helps stay sane."

"Bahaha!" John laughed, a deep, throaty sound that echoed around the empty cell room. "I guess you’re either dumb or completely fearless. Either way, I like it." He stepped closer, his intense gaze locking onto . "You know what? I’ve got a good feeling about you. You might last longer than the others. Hell, you might even entertain for a while."

I finished my last squat and straightened up, wiping sweat from my forehead. "Glad to hear it," I said, my voice steady despite the tension in the air. "Honestly, I’m getting kind of impatient, so let’s just get this over with."

John grinned, showing his blood-stained teeth. "Oh, acting confident now, huh?" He leaned in, his voice dropping to a whisper. "But let’s make one thing clear. No matter how much you fight back, no matter how strong you think you are, you’ll break. They all do. And when you do... I’ll enjoy every second of it. So tell , do you really think you can handle it?"

I t his gaze, refusing to back down. "We’ll see."

For a mont, there was silence. Then John straightened up, clapping his hands together. "Alright! Enough chit-chat. Let’s get started, shall we?" He gestured to the undead goblins waiting behind him. "Hurry up, take him to the torture room."

The goblins shuffled forward, their grotesque faces blank but obedient. I didn’t resist as they grabbed my arms and dragged out of the cell. There was no point in fighting—not yet, anyway.

As they led down the dimly lit hallway, I took a deep breath, ntally preparing myself for what was coming. My heart was pounding, but I forced myself to stay calm. I wasn’t sure how many deaths it would take for to beco strong enough to challenge John, but either way, I had already co this far—there was no turning back now.

Eventually, we reached the torture room—a grimy, blood-soaked chamber that reeked of death. Chains hung from the walls, and various sharp instrunts were scattered across a wooden table. It was like sothing out of a horror movie, but unfortunately, this was all too real.

Goddammit! What a sick bastard! Out of all the superhumans out there, why did I have to run into this motherfucker?! Seriously, just why am I so unlucky?!

John walked in behind us, his footsteps slow and deliberate. "Welco to my personal torture room!" he said with a dramatic bow. "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to make this as morable as possible for you."

I smirked, though my stomach was churning. "You sure talk a lot for soone who clearly has ntal issues."

His grin widened. "Oh, I like you already." He grabbed a wicked-looking knife from the table, spinning it in his hand with ease. "Let’s see how long that attitude lasts, shall we?"

The goblins strapped to the table in the center of the room, their cold hands surprisingly firm and strong. Once I was secured, John stepped closer, the knife glinting in the dim light.

"Anything you want to say before we start?" John asked, his tone mockingly polite.

I stared at him and smirked. "Not really, but since you’re asking... I guess go fuck yourself, you piece of shit! Yeah, fuck you bitch! Fuck you, motherfucker!"

Hearing cursing at him, John burst out laughing. "Hahahaha!!! Bahahaha!!!" His laughter echoed through the entire room.

My plan was to make John angry, hoping he’d lose control of his anger and finish off faster. But, of course, it failed. This fucking bastard! I can’t believe he’s laughing instead of getting pissed.

After a good short laugh, John stopped and said, "Haha. Nice try, though. Let guess, you’re trying to piss off so I’ll finish you off quickly, right? Sorry, but I’m not that stupid. Say whatever you want; it won’t change a damn thing. I’m still going to take my ti and make sure you suffer slowly as much as possible until I’m satisfied."

Hearing that, I let out a deep sigh. Welp, fuck it... Looks like I can’t avoid pain after all. Oh well, I guess this gonna h—!

It was at this mont, John suddenly stabbed in the right shoulder, driving the knife deep into the bone.

STAB!

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaghhhh!!!" I scread in agony.

Ugh, fuck! It’s been such a long ti since I’ve felt this much pain! Goddammit!
