Phantom's psychic power allowed him to adjust his presence. He vaguely sensed that when he exhausted himself completely, he could exchange one person's existence for another's.

He didn't know the exact effects, but he did it anyway.

Using every day and night he'd experienced in this world, using all mories people had of him, he successfully traded for Mo Wen's second life at full strength.

The Dream Creator's stability returned to 100%, his augntations beca whole again, and the spirit root grew wildly within him. With the Dragon Blade at his side, Mo Wen's combat power instantly returned to its peak—stronger than ever.

But to be saved by soone unexpected at such a heavy cost...

Mo Wen slowly clenched his fist.

He didn't grieve. He simply swallowed this death that belonged to soone else.

Forward. He must move forward. Only forward.

In furious calm, Mo Wen reassessed the situation.

That being capable of erasing planets had returned to the orbital fortress. Only making its move at the last mont before imdiately retreating—clearly its existence remained unstable. There was still a chance to kill it.

And by forcing the Corporation to resort to such mutually destructive asures, other companies must have lost trust in them now. At most, they'd remain subdued out of fear until they could resist.

No one wants to share space with sothing whose re existence could destroy everything—especially when you can't guarantee it won't actively kill you.

Mo Wen still lived. The Corporation had spared no expense trying to kill him. These two facts alone made him the banner of rebellion.

Especially since all he needed was an opportunity to break gravity's hold and reach the orbital fortress.

Having determined his next move, Mo Wen activated Phantom's psychic power and stealthily advanced toward the Dream Corporation branch.

Psychic powers weren't unlearnable. But to master another's power sotis required understanding so much—as much as a person's entire being.

...

In the conference room symbolizing the planet's highest authority, projections of major corporate representatives responsible for diplomacy anxiously awaited Qi Shiming's appearance.

They demanded an explanation—why so many innocents had died, what that thing just now truly was.

"Qi Shiming" didn't keep them waiting long.

The projection of the man who once carried humanity and now pioneered its future appeared.

Before the representatives could question him, he pressed his hands downward, calming them, then spoke serenely: "This incident caused zero casualties."

Zero casualties? Impossible! Never mind the billions vaporized by psychic energy afterward—even the earlier fortress battle had claid many lives.

But "Qi Shiming" had his reasons.

"Death has always been humanity's greatest dilemma. Whether from lifespan limits or physical destruction, it ends lives prematurely. This has been my research team's primary challenge."

"In fact, we've made breakthroughs."

"What you witnessed was the culmination of our research into 'ntal consciousness networks,' 'psychic energy democratization,' and 'curing death.' We haven't nad it yet—nas hold power, and it remains incomplete."

"'Primordial,' 'Humanity,' 'God of Man,' 'Terminal,' 'Mainfra'... For convenience, let's call it 'Zero.'"

"As we know, the dead dissolve naturally, leaving no trace. Even Energy Level 5 psychics rely linger briefly. But Zero redirects all human deaths to itself."

"For three years now, no one has truly died. Their 'souls' remain stored within Zero."

"With proper extraction procedures and prepared vessels, we can resurrect them. The vessels can be new human bodies, and the extre psychic-rich environnt coupled with post-death experiences greatly increases psychic awakening rates."

Though these representatives had witnessed great events, this revelation about all humanity made them gasp.

Life Pharmaceuticals' representative imdiately objected: "Impossible! Souls don't exist."

"Qi Shiming" remained unshaken: "But psychic-based information aggregates exist. They preserve the deceased's complete self-awareness."

"Everyone possesses psychic energy—just psychics have far stronger manifestations. With Zero's guidance, even the weakest information aggregate can be preserved intact against the world."

It sounded beautiful. Had the real Qi Shiming presented this, they'd rely marvel at his latest world-shaking breakthrough.

But if this wasn't Qi Shiming?

Dream Corporation's representative suddenly spoke: "Wang Fugui—or A-874184, renad under your arrangent—is dead."

"He died from light erupting from within. Our analysts confird it wasn't an attack but a 'natural phenonon.'"

"We've since traced nurous mysterious deaths, verifying identities and causes."

"To my knowledge, Qi Shiming left his light within many forcibly rehabilitated individuals, ensuring it would kill them if they strayed. So psychic effects linger for decades—but if the psychic dies, the effects appear as 'natural phenona.'"

"How long since Qi Shiming last acted? Would the world he envisioned look like this?"

"Qi Shiming" listened calmly, then countered: "Why act? Why not say I'm still changing the world?"

"Power stems from conflict. Now, no one opposes . The world has transford. As new humans replace old, with rebuilt moral foundations, it increasingly matches my vision—so much that an old relic like struggles to find better directions."

"If psychic energy manifests naturally, it's because I no longer control that power. Perhaps so choose such deaths because they believe they deserve them."

"I know you resent Mo Wen's attempted assassination. But his existence threatens everything."

"He must die."

The real Qi Shiming would have spared no effort giving innocents a chance. Nor would he conceal his plans.

They should have recognized this "Qi Shiming's" abnormality—realized his death twenty years prior.

But most were pitiful mortals, desperate to believe even saints could fall, could compromise.

Yet in this world inheriting his will, so wouldn't compromise.

Dream Corporation's representative grinned savagely: "Then kill with your signature move!"

"Here's your reason to act. Unless you kill imdiately, Dream Corporation—no, the New World Project's Dream Faction—will rebel against the false leader, upholding Qi Shiming's legacy."

"At any cost."

"Qi Shiming" remained silent before slowly raising his hand: "As you wish."

Psychic energy from the orbital fortress locked onto its target and struck.

This imitation power should have dissolved all living matter from within using light.

Yet the Dream Faction representative only bled from seven orifices, laughing wildly: "Fake! Such weak attacks can't kill !"

"Now war begins."

Other representatives stayed silent. Though Qi Shiming's authenticity seed disproven, did they possess strength to resist "Zero"? The orbital fortress continuously emitted psychic energy even Energy Level 5 couldn't withstand.

Wait—the Corporation's earlier attack must have used Zero's power. Even if not Qi Shiming, the Dream Faction representative should have died.

To their shock, fibrous matter blending tal and flesh grew from the representative's ears and nose.

In under two days, the world's finest doctors had partially deciphered the uses of the otherworldly visitor's biological tissue—and urgently applied it in combat.
