"Golden chas?" Bruce Pang asked with a sigh to no one in particular.
He probably had a feeling that he had reached the end of his wonderful run of good luck.
And he was right.
Of course they were golden chas.
Our much dreaded confrontation with the Aricans and Europeans was about to happen, and we had a huge bunch of things that we couldn't really find a fake explanation for.
Most glaring of all was of course, G-Drake.
"They probably locked on to my signal." G-Drake said. "They lost it when we escaped through the portal, but regained it when I exerted my strength in the earlier battle."
"Golden chas? Sounds so garish. Why are they coming our way?" Princess Augustine asked lazily.
"They are most probably here to find out what G-Drake is. They will probably capture us for interrogation as soon as they discover us." Bruce Pang said grimly.
"Help us." I imdiately said to Princess Augustine.
"Why should I? What's in it for ?" Princess Augustine asked with a sly look on her face.
My lips twitched as I held back a withering curse at her.
"Where the hell did the sweet version of you go to?" I muttered. "How did you manage to have such a massive change in character with just a simple mory reset?"
"Oh I can be sweet. I can be reeally sweet if I want to. But why should I be sweet to you?" Princess Augustine retorted back.
"YOU tell . You were really sweet before!" I shot back at her.
"Stop arguing kids. The golden chas are almost here. We need to figure out how to deal with them." Bruce Pang cut in firmly.
"Where's Chronos? If it can co to our position, we can use it to escape. It is probably strong enough to drag G-Drake along, right?" I asked my big bro.
"Chronos is... currently dormant. The Ancestor is probably hiding sowhere. Or captured. Either way, I can't risk bringing it to our position right now." Bruce Pang said.
"If we can't run, then we must fight. There is no way I will allow myself to be captured without a fight." I said with great determination. I shot Princess Augustine a glance, but she had her eyes closed, and seed content to let us deal with the situation.
I knew I had to throw out a juicy bait or a prepare a sharp stick to galvanize her into action.
"Bait first then." I thought to myself and took out the two treasures which G-Drake specifically got for from his dad's massive piles of treasures.
I swung the treasure sword lightly with my right hand and caused it to give out a slight hum as mysterious energies sparked into life and created a trail of blue electrical discharge behind it.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Princess Augustine sneak a quick peek at the sword before turning away without a single change of expression.
Bait number one, failed.
"G-Drake, use this cha core to power your reserve core. Unlike what you told earlier, I discovered that this cha core actually has several very powerful effects!" I said loudly and moved towards the control panel which I had placed in the pod.
"WAIT!! What is that? Let see!" Princess Augustine suddenly shouted excitedly.
Bait number two, aweso success.
"Oh this? This is a hyper rare and powerful energy core which is the principal treasure of the clan of blue dragons hiding away on this planet." I lied through my teeth smoothly. "But alas, since you don't want to help us deal with the golden chas, this will probably fall into the hands of the Aricans or the Europeans."
"Give it to , and I will deal with the two golden weaklings for you." Princess Augustine said eagerly.
"I will let you hold it for two minutes if you can disable the two golden weaklings and lead us back to my ho." I imdiately made a counter offer.
"I will do all that if you give that energy core to ." Princess Augustine said with an annoyed pout.
"One day. I will lend it to you for one full day if you do all that. That's my final offer. Take it or leave it!" I said firmly and dangled the cha core in front of her to help speed up her decision making process.
It worked beautifully.
"Hmph! Fine! One day in exchange for cleaning up those weaklings." Princess Augustine hmphed impatiently.
She waved her little hand and pointed at the two golden chas which were already within a couple of kiloters away.
Through the window, I could see a pair of massive bubbles float away very rapidly towards the two unsuspecting apex chas of planet Earth's superpowers.
Both the pair of bubbles and golden chas were traveling at such high speed that their collision happend just a few seconds later.
Blub. Blub.
The two massive golden chas plopped straight into the bubbles, and then by so strange power, they suddenly stopped moving completely!
Princess Augustine waved her little hands once more, and brought the two massive golden chas towards us!
"There. I captured the two weaklings as agreed upon. Do whatever you want with them. Now give that energy core!" Princess Augustine said and stretched out her hand impatiently at .
With a wide smile, I tossed the yellow cha core to her.
"Good deal." I said happily and grinned at my big bro who could only laugh helplessly at the two little kids who took care of two golden chas that were so powerful that they were basically overlords of the entire world as though they were trading favors for little toys in the playground!
Princess Augustine grabbed the yellow cha core greedily and imdiately closed her eyes to study it.
My big bro and I proceeded to marvel at the two massive toys that had so very generously delivered themselves to us, and we were about to grin at each other when Princess Augustine's voice rang out from behind us.
"I want this core. And more of it. Let us go back to the dragon lair to look for them!"
