’What happened?’ Jack thought, clearly recalled being trapped in ice by that ogre. Looking, he could see fragnts of ice containing what he could tell was limbs and frozen blood, scattered in bit on the floor.

’It died?’ He could tell the ogre was strong, as he couldn’t beat it. With all the buffs he’d received from karrie.

"Why does it always have to end like this.." Letting a weak sigh jack got up, abruptly stopping finally noticing the prescence behind him.

"I-it’s you again!" Jack exclaid a bit almost tripping, his eyes locked onto the strange horse he’d t earlier.

"Is that your way of saying thank you?" The horse retorded, in a rather annoyed tone. It’s expression unwavering and calm.

Not responding imdiately, jack couldn’t help but deny the creature was right. It had saved him not once but twice now, from the arms of death. And he hadn’t expressed his gratitude once.

"Am sorry, thank you for saving .. again." Jack calmly uttered, to which the horse slightly nodded.

Staring at the horse, it had a striking resemblance to the one he saw in his visions. It was bizzare cause they were really identical, looking like twins.

"Who or what are you?" Jack softly asked. trying his best not to sound rude, as he knew this horse could kill him in the blink of an eye.

Not responding imdiately also, the horse let out a subtle neigh. It’s feets gently striding to jack.

’Is it grinning?’ Jack wondered perplexed, seeing the horse lips curved upwards. It wasn’t a bad grin but more worse, a wicked one! Like a failed experint, undergoing plastic surgery just to make it worse.

"Judging from your question, it’s obvious you haven’t unlocked a quarter of your past from your visions." The deep voice spoke in an eerie tone, making jack’s eye widen.

’I-it knows about my past?’ His visions about his past only occured at random monts. Either when asleep, or in such recent cases while unconscious in battle.

But it was bound to only him and aethone, being in his mind. But now, this strange horse had just made ntion of it?

"What are you talking about?" The latter pretended to be oblivious, about what the horse was talking about. Playing the dumb card, in hopes to get more information from the horses.

’If I rember correctly, it only answered one of my questions. So this is my best option in getting it to talk.’

Staring at him, the weird grin on the horse’s mouth slowly faded, replaced with a more malicious frown.

"Ahh! W-what are you doing!?"Jack yelled, lifted up in the air by an otherworldly force. He tried to move, but only resulted in him shifting off balance.

"Don’t try to be smart with dargon. I know you are aware of what am talking about."

"B-but I don’t! What do you an my past, and who or what are you!?" A light pout was plastered to jack’s face, crossing his arm. Refusing to give up that easily.

Shaking it’s head the horse let out a weak neigh.

"As expected from a stubborn dragon." The strange force holding jack in the air suddenly vanished, causing him to fall to the ground hard.

’Ouch! I think I broke my spine." Jack cursed, vividly feeling the effects of landing fast to the floor.

"Stop complaining.. dargons never complain, it’s belittling." The horse frowned, rather annoyed by jack’s whining.

"If you require to know more about your past you must complete a set of trials." It said, but jack could sense a hidden agenda to it’s words.

"By a set of trails you an life or death missions.. right?" Jack asked, making the weird grin from before form on the horse face.

"Not entirely life or death missions but an ancient set of trials, befitting a dargon who’ve co of age." It spoke with excitent, and a sense of pride in it’s tone.

"Unfortunately.. you have not." It frowned again with a degrading cold stare, making jack take so steps back.

’What the hell does it an. Dargons?? Trials?’ Listening to the horse, jack couldn’t fathom what it ant.

He knew he had a past when awakened with the system, but every vision and slight comnts from these two forces. Being hades and this weird horse, was confusing.

"You keep calling a dargon. Is that a tribe or perhaps my family na?" He calmly asked with a bewildered frown.

"It’s both." The horse plainly uttered making jack frown more.

"So it’s a tribe and my family na?"

"Exactly.."

"But what does it an, and how is all this connected to !?" Jack yelled in frustration, about ripping his eye balls.

"That question isn’t ant to be answered by , but the leader of the dargon household." Hearing the horse words jack fell silent a bit, pondering on what it ant.

’Leader of the dargon household.. it’s a title which am guessing is for the ruler of the dargons. But why does it sound so familiar.’

Seeing him thinking made the horse grin more, enjoying this scene.

"Wait- y-you’re referring to my father." Jack uttered to which the horse nodded.

"Exactly, only him can really tell you about your past." With that the horse circled jack twice, observing him with a curious gaze.

"Your blood powers are still very weak." Out from it’s head potruded a dark red gem.

’It’s not a life gem.’ The aura emitting from this gem was different, from the life gem. Also being much bigger and having a darker shade of red.

"Use this when you’re alone, it’s a surprise." With that the horse turned around walking away. Look at the gem it pulsed an ethereal dark red light, not equivalent to that of the life gem.

’Can you analyze this aethone?’

[Unfortunately I cannot. There seems to be so blockage preventing from scanning it.]

’As expected, there’s always a surprise with this beast.’ Shaking his head, he stored the gem in the system store. His eyes shifting to the horse, that had now stopped in it’s tracks.

’What’s it doing?’ Jack wondered, watching the creature staring down to a figure.

"She seems to be a great helper. Who knows, she might be part of your future wives." The beast smiled and out from his head ca yet another item.

"L-life crystal.." Jack stuttered, feeling the power radiating from that fist sized red crystal in front.

He could vividly tell it wasn’t a life gem but crystal, judging from the srizing energy it contained.

’Is he trying to-’ he had just one idea in mind, watching the crystal go into Karrie’s upper body.

And like always, the ethereal light enveloped Karrie’s body getting more fiercer. Lifting her body up in the air a bit, bright red lines swirling around her.

"What’s happening?’ Yuma stared in shock at this strange phenonon. She’d woken up a few minutes earlier, searching for jack not seeing him besides her. But with that strange beast, almost as if they were communicating.

[I-i can’t believe it. It’s really bringing her back.] Aethone excitedly exclaid.

"Grow stronger dargon, until we et again." With that shadows erupted from the ground, enveloping the horse. Which evaporated to the air along with the strange beast.

’Boom!!’

A huge explosion occured, blasting nearby objects. Looking, jack could see both half’s of Karrie’s body engulfed in a big red ball getting bigger. Brimming with power and swirling rapidly, emitting strange heptic vibrations shackling the ground.

’I-it’s so strong.’ Jack gritted his teeth, pushing his leg more deeper to the ground to avoid being blown away by such force.

’Booomm!!’

A much larger explosion occured after so few minutes. The terrifyingly big red ball slowly decreasing in size, until it completely faded. A figure could be seen falling from the ball.

"I got you." Jack softly uttered, grabbing Karrie before she hit the ground. Looking at her she was completely fixed. Both half of her body reattached, with no visible scratch on her body.

’Her aura’s changed.’ Just like when Yuma absorbed the goblin king crystal, her aura changed. And now so did Karrie’s.

"Y-your majesty!" A voice pulled jack out from his thoughts. Looking, he could see the promiscuous female goblin running towards him.

"A-am sorry your majesty, it’s all my fault. I persuaded Karrie to co cause I felt you were in danger and now i-"

"Shhh.. it’s alright, you did good." Jack pulled her close, embracing her in a hug. Shocked, Yuma pinched herself to confirm this was real.

"Today we lost a great amount of comrades, but hope isn’t lost yet." Jack calmly spoke brushing Yuma’s hair, earning soft purrs from her.

"This is just a minor setback to enforce our resolve." Sighing jack then picked Karrie in a princess carriage, storing whatever item he could find in the system store.

’These ogre’s bodies will definitely co in handy.’ A smug grin ford on Jack’s face. He was a bit upset, he couldn’t acquire the body of the ogre dueling the axe. But he got so relief, acquiring the strange blue axe.

"Let’s go." Jack calmly said to which Yuma nodded, making their way back to the village.
