Cross checking his profile again and again, he couldn’t help but grin widely at how strong he’d beco. Just like the novels he’d read, about trash MC’s with no ability and a rough background, becoming powerful.

He never really did knew such feeling until now. And he couldn’t deny it was damn good!

"If I continue like this I might reach C or B rank soon." His eyes lit up, the taste of power overwhelming him with joy.

[Ha.. in your dreams. Reaching the next rank isn’t just by levelling up and getting more kills. It also requires harnessing your body potentials, and a lot more things you can’t grasp.]

"Soone’s jealous." Jack scoffed ignoring his system. He could sense so hints of jealousy in it’s tone, like an over protective housewife.

[Dimwit.. a-am a higher being, transcended realms beyond you. Your petty advancent doesn’t faze one bit.] the system retorded.

"Oh really? If you’re all that powerful then why succumb to ? Why not kill this instant. Oh wait.. you’re loyal to ."

[Why you!] The system fud, hurling so light curses at jack all to which he ignored.

He’d been alone literally most his life, hadn’t been Kelly. But she wasn’t here now and he couldn’t see her, at least not yet. So his system was his only and best redy.

Being in his head gave him more free access, to speak to the system telepathically.

’My stats are more than doubled before.’ His physical stat points had taken a great leap, from before. Boosting his body greatly and he could feel it.

His muscles fat were strong as steel, even his skin was tougher than tal. Unlike before, his body was more lighter and agile. Effectively boosting his versatility in combat.

’I never thought I’d increase intelligence stat this quick.’

The intelligence stat wasn’t a stat he could easily increase, without free stat pounts. Which he occasionally got from the stystem, but he had a gut feeling it wasn’t going to last long.

It had to do with the ntal aspect, which is his mind. Ways to increase it includes gaining a decent variety of information about, this new world, potential herbs, beasts, creatures e.t.c

Simply put, it was a tough nut to crack! Unlike his physical stats he could train his body, doing exercises, earning stat points from kills. So his intelligence stat wasn’t lacking behind either.

Scrolling down he could see he’d unlocked a new tab, labelled chaos energy. Which he confird was the energy like mana, used to activate skills that required chaos energy.

Just like the system stated, he saw his hp had increased to 200 which was a huge bonus for him.

’This would definitely co in handy.’ He smiled scrolling down his title section. As there was a new title he’d unlock, monarch of darkness. Which concealed his presence by 30%, adding to his stealth.

He also saw the primordial chaos ability, added with the ancient bloodline ability.

"Hehe!" The two abilities were no doubt powerful, sending tingles down his spine.

’Now I don’t have to worry about getting close before shooting out a blood ball.’

When the system notification flashed before his eyes, alerting him blood decay had reached f rank. He was excited to see the changes. And he was no doubt pleased by it, as he wouldn’t have to worry about missing, since the blood balls now exploded.

"This skill- why does it feel familiar?" Jack wondered, his gaze hovering on the eyes of truth skill he obtained. He couldn’t quite place his finger on it, but it made his stomach churn.

"Ti for the main dish~" He rubbed his hands together excitedly, like a little child receiving a gift. Not delaying, he navigated his way to the second new section, besides his profile page.

A whole new translucent screen materialized before his eyes. Unlike his profile page, the system shop was different. Like a normal online auction store with few equipnts, and prices labelled below.

"They’re all in f rank stage." Jack frowned. He’d hoped to see so higher level equipnts but unfortunately, there wasn’t any.

’I still have the SSS ranked item.’ A diabolical grin grew on his lips, saving his trump card for last.

Clicking the first item description, it was a small green dagger, it’s tip curving a bit. The body was poorly crafted, with impurities all over the dagger.

[Basic poison dagger: grant’s user 2 points in stamina when equipped and has a 4% chance of inflicting poison]

The description was plain and understandable, for an f rank dagger. Hell! Jack didn’t think it would have such effects, being very weak.

"300 system points to purchase!?" Jack exclaid, seeing the whooping price tag at the dagger bottom. Being f rank he’d expected little currency to purchase it, but karma had a way of toying with him.

[The price for various equipnts in the system shop is set and calculated, based on the equipnts performance. Not it rank.]

The system inwardly exclaid, but Jack’s smile didn’t fade still grumpy about it.

The next item was a plain shield, of a bit better quality than the one’s in the goblin village still at f rank. It granted 3 strength and defense when equipped. So far, the highest amongst the three equipnts here.

And last but not least, was a strange scroll at the f rank stage.

[A foreign scroll with hidden contents?]

The description was vague, which only piqued jack’s interest more. And it cost 1000 system points, the highest of the three items in the shop.

’Where’s the item?’ Jack frowned, not seeing the SSS ranked item he’d obtained in the shop.

[All items purchased or received will be stored in the system store. For easy access.]

"Wait.. how do I get system points again?" Jack asked seeing his balance was zero.

[System points can be earned by salvaging tis. The better the quality the more the system points. Oh! And the items also refreshes daily, so be sure to check in or you might miss your luck.] nodding, jack now understood about the system shop. He’d thought he would have to acquire currencies, from real life to buy equipnts. but luckily, the system had it’s own currency.

’I’ll make a quick stop to the bank when am done.’ As the new chief, he was ant to know everything about the town. Including what currencies they used, how they produced and stored food, so on so forth.

"This is it." He was excited unlocking the system shop. But now he was overwheld with with joy, also unlocking the system store. As it was a vast space he could store non living items he chose, with a thought of his mind.

[Summoners ring (SSS rank): grant’s user 10 strength and intelligence when equipped. With the ability of three tries to summon his kills, depending on his will with chaos energy varying. Turning them into his undead allies, which can be summoned at will.

(Number of summons: 0)]

"Woah!" Jack was taken aback not expecting such an item. He’d expected a sword, helt, or sothing else but not this.

The na itself spoke volus, and the perks it gave were really good. The idea of receiving a whooping 10 in strength and intelligence, when equipped with the ring was astonishing. Not to ntion he could summon his kills with chaos energy.

Sure it had it’s cons, being he has only three chance, and there was the possibility a higher enemy would take greater chairs energy. His chaos energy was a hundred now, but his system assured him it would grow as he levelled up.

And he could always just store the body in the system store, which would preserve it the way it was brought in. As ti stood still in the system store. But, there was still the headache of sothing going wrong, and his summoning failing.

"Stay positive." he deeply sighed, clearing the negative thoughts from his mind.

"Summoners ring." He softly said and like magic, bright red and gold light swirled on his palm, with the materialization of an object.

It was a gold ring with a cleanly cut red gem at the center. There were intriguing patterns constructed around the ring, with inscribings unknown to him.

"Such good craftsmanship. Definitely worth it’s SSS rank." Equipping the ring to his middle finger, he could feel the power surging in him.

[ 10 strength and intelligence stat points!]

Checking his profile, he could see it had reflected on his profile page.

"I can’t wait to test this out." A tingle of excitent crept down his body, making him shiver a bit. A sickening smile plastered to his face.

[Creepy!] The system yelled to which jack ignored.

’I wonder if they didn’t bury Jin’s body?’ A sick idea popped up in jack’s head. Getting up, he proceeded towards the door with anticipation.

"Jack~" a soft whisper carried by the wind passed by his ears, making him stop in his tracks.

"Weird.. I can’t sense anyone nearby." He could swear he heard a voice, call out his na.

[Must’ve been your mind playing tricks on you.]

"Maybe.." with that he left the room, heading straight into the town.
