When fighting the goblin king, he was alerted by his system about the crowd of goblins that had gathered across. But he was unfazed, solely engrossed in his battle with the goblin king. As any wrong move could be the end of him.
But now he’d killed the goblin king, he knew they were undoubtedly shocked seeing their king they held so highly, slaughtered by jack.
’I wonder what’s going through their minds?’ Jack smirked not wanting to spoil the fun by looking. He instead headed over to Yuma, giving them a bit of suspense before deciding to heal her.
The reason he’d chosen this action was to gain the goblin people trust. Yes, he was dominant and could use brute force, but that would be a waste.
He’d just killed their king and though shocked, still held resent for the massacre he’d done to their village. So he needed to gain their trust a bit.
And what other way to do that, than sacrificing his precious gem he’d earned. To heal a dying goblin unconscious on the floor.
[Haha! You learnt from the best. Am proud my student is becoming mature now.] The system chuckled praising his thinking skills. As no doubt his intelligence had improved greatly.
’Am flattered master.’ Jack coquettishly uttered in a flattery manner. Impressing his system even further.
’So, how do we get out over?’ Jack wondered, not seeing any ways leading across. And he couldn’t go through the cave, as he still didn’t know how the goblins parted it.
"Argh!" A soft groan was heard behind, and as by coincidence Yuma’s eye fluttered open.
"What happened?" She wondered sitting up straight, she could tell she was still in the goblin village. Her eyes scanned the surrounding, befalling on a dead figure in front.
"Is that.. no." She muttered in disbelief, staring at what looked like the body of the goblin king. All mangled and squashed into a pulp.
"I-if the king is dead then.. that ans." Her voice halted, feeling an imnse pressure overwhelm her. Tilting her head a bit she could see him.
Her eyes widened in shock and disbelief, seeing jack calmly standing there. There were injuries and blood all over his body, but he didn’t mind. And she could’ve even swore he was enjoying it!
’H-he killed the king.. he actually killed the goblin king, what the fuck!?’ It sounded like a fairytale, a myth to be precise. The goblin king wasn’t an weak individual like the rest. Possessing higher magic power than them, and a dangerous arsenal of skills.
Not only that but his aura was intimidating, making fear creep into the hearts of all close to him. But such powerful king, held with high regard had been killed by this monster?
’You’re awake good." Jack calmly spoke walking towards her. Startled she shifted back a bit, seeing jack approaching her.
"If I wanted you dead trust you’d be." Jack frowned his gaze sharp, making her gulp an incredible amount of saliva.
"T-the goblin king-"
"Dead." His tone was indifferent, like he hadn’t just killed the king of their village. Staying in silence Yuma pondered on sothing, her head aching in pain.
"What about the horse?" She asked. Not answering imdiately, jack knew he couldn’t tell her he didn’t kill the horse, for certain reasons.
First, he couldn’t kill the horse, as there was a really big and wide gap between their power difference. Second, he knew now the goblin had a sowhat relationship with the horse, but he could feel he’d sohow changed that.
But nevertheless, the horse could still be allied with the goblins. And finally, he felt sowhat strange connection with the horse. like a long lost mory he tried recalling.
"It’s taken care of." He plainly said not buttressing further. Yuma wanted to still inquire but kept shut. Fearing if she angered jack, it would be the end of her.
"How do we get across?" Jack asked, pointing to the wooden bridge that was destroyed earlier.
"A-are you sure that’s such a good idea?" Yuma asked getting up dusting herself a bit. "I an, there should be about a hundred goblin there waiting to kill you in revenge of their king."
She said and jack couldn’t deny it was true. Though he’d saved her, it didn’t change the fact he killed the goblin king. And the remaining locals of goblins he’d missed to kill, would want to avenge such king.
"It’s none of your business, just take over there." Jack coldly spoke releasing his aura, making Yuma’s eye go white a bit. Her body falling to the floor as she coughed up fresh blood.
’Impressive.. I nearly killed her with the full outburst of my aura.’ Jack was impressed by how powerful his aura had grown, in such a short span. And with the rewards from the system further granted him more boost.
"A-am sorry for questioning you!" She panickly apologized, regretting ever uttering a word.
’Call crazy but is he more terrifying than last ti!?’ She could tell jack had gotten really stronger, than when they’d first t. As only his aura alone was testant to such.
"I-i will guide you to the village master." She was careful not to be too flirtatious, not to anger jack. But still having killed the goblin king, he could easily take his throne and rule them all.
So she wanted to ascertain her spot by his side, before the ti ca.
"Don’t ever refer to as master or I’ll kill you." Jack spoke with a poker face, and Yuma could sense the hostility in his words. Nodding she didn’t utter a word, leading jack into the entrance of the cave where he ca. Pulling a lit up wooden torch he was surprised to hear a crack sound, followed by a rumble. With the huge waterfall rock parting in two.
’So that’s how they did it.’ He’d thought they used magic or so kind of ability. But now, he knew their dirty secret.
Exiting the cave, the two rocks then joined back together closing with no visible crack marks whatsoever.
"How do I get back in?" He asked for his own reasons.
"There’s a small handle below hidden beneath the stones. Pull it and the path will open." She explained to which he let out a slight nod.
She then led him towards the flowing water, flowing in a straight line like a river. They walked so miles before finally stopped, at a grand pond like lake. Which was another waterfall in disguise.
’Nature is really sothing.’ Jack thought, amazed at how a small waterfall led to such a peaceful tranquill paradise. Which was actually in reality a huge waterfall in disguise.
Approaching the wall she knocked it several tis, making Jack’s brows contort.
’What’s she doing?’
[There must be a secret code or sothing to unlock the secret passage way.] The system butted in. And just like it had guessed, Yuma finally found what she was looking for. Pushing an oddly shaped part of the wall back, the ground rumbled a bit. Followed by a part of the wall cut out in a door fra, sliding open to the side.
’Incredible..’ Jack’s jaw dropped a bit, amazed at the building experiences of goblins. He was impressed with their trap setting and houses, but these two witnesses left him bewildered more.
Entering through the door, they were yet in another cave with lit up wooden torches. It had the sa features as the first, but this was unexpectedly shorter than the first. As they’d reached the exit in no ti. The illuminesent bright light assaulting his eyes.
"They’re already here." He could see the remaining goblin villagers were already here, awaiting their arrival.
"He killed the goblin king." A goblin whispered with shaky voice.
"B-but how? He must be using so sort of dark arts!" Another cried.
"He destroyed the village, we can’t possibly make him king." Another chid in his face clenched into a frown.
"My babies! My poor babies are dead because of him." A fat female goblin cried.
"Hmph. Seems like I need to remind them of their place." Jack chuckled, hearing their murmurs and whispers with his advanced hearing.
"Silence!" A bit if his aura burst out, compelling them all to their knees. Even Yuma struggled to stand affected by his aura.
"Yes, I wrecked havoc in your village and slaughtered your kind. But isn’t that what you’ve been doing? Invading kilroi town and looting they’re foodstuffs?" He said his voice stern, and gaze sharp like a hawk.
"As the new village chief I can assure you there will be no more free food." He declared making their faces go more pale.
[That’s the spirit young student. Always rember to claim your dominance or your subjects will plot against you.] The system chuckled, impressed at his acting skills.
"I killed your so called king fair and square. So doesn’t that rightfully make king?" He asked, releasing his aura a tad bit more. Making them frantically shake their heads in unison.
’W-what have we brought upon ourselves.’ Yuma wondered, staring at jack with a grim expression.
