Two mbers of the exploration team stood before the altar with a box, apparently preparing to place the beast bone inside and take it away.

Lu Yuan scanned the valley and its surroundings, planned his route to obtain the treasure and retreat in his mind, and prepared to make his move.
Just then, the Gugu Bird, which had been silent, suddenly squawked.
Hearing the aning conveyed in its cry, Lu Yuan was montarily stunned. He then extended his Spiritual Power to probe several locations.

Caledor already possessed the air and deanor of a top-tier expert.
Both Caledor’s strength and his ntal fortitude inspired awe and admiration in Xilin.
To Xilin, Caledor was a valued friend and a ntor.
Xilin recalled the words Caledor had spoken to him. Then, he rembered the terrifying figure of the Elephantman that had cast a heavy shadow over his heart. Suddenly, he felt that the Elephantman wasn’t so terrifying after all.

A sliver of enlightennt dawned in Xilin’s heart. It felt as if many things had suddenly beco clear, and much of the gloom weighing on his spirit was swept away.
Suddenly, an Evil Energy Fluctuation appeared in the sky above the deep valley. Xilin looked up to see a six-winged, armored black shadow descending rapidly from the valley entrance.
"He’s here!"

Xilin’s heart leaped violently. He quickly turned his head to look at Caledor.
At the sa instant, Caledor’s tightly closed eyes snapped open. He then reached out and lightly grasped the hilts of the twin swords before him. His Sky-level Armants imdiately activated.

Streams of finger-thick blue electrical currents erupted from the moon-white armor, accompanied by a starlike radiance.
Brilliant points of light materialized around Caledor, fourteen in total.
The powers of the Starry Sky Martial Path and the Sky-level Armants intertwined and rged, generating imnse energy pressure.
Xilin involuntarily retreated, a hint of terror on his face.
