HISS—

The door of the training room opened, and two figures appeared in Lu Yuan’s sight.

One of them gave Lu Yuan a slight nod of respect before quickly turning and leaving. He was just Gold Bear, responsible for guiding the way.

As for the one remaining... it was the Taming Tiger Sect Grandmaster, Xu Weiguo, whom Lu Yuan was waiting for.

The visitor’s appearance was almost identical to his photo. He was a robust middle-aged man with a ruddy complexion and short black hair, looking to be in his forties.

Lu Yuan was slightly surprised. I had previously thought the photo in the records was of Xu Weiguo in his pri, not expecting the man himself to look like this. Yet, the records indicated he was already eighty-seven this year, older than my grandfather, Lu Yueping, but he looked younger than my father, Lu Xinghua.

Lu Yuan had learned that after a Pure Martial Fighter entered the Grandmaster Realm, their body would undergo a transformation akin to Marrow-Cleaning. Significant improvents in bodily functions, extended lifespan, and a more youthful appearance were all common phenona. But I didn’t expect it to be this dramatic. A Grandmaster approaching ninety looked like a man in his forties.

"Master Xu."

The Gold Bear who had led the way exited, shutting the door again, leaving only Lu Yuan and the robust man inside the training room.

Lu Yuan greeted Xu Weiguo with a polite smile. Although records indicated that this Pure Martial Grandmaster, Xu Weiguo, possessed only average strength within the Grandmaster Realm, proper respect was still necessary.

"Lord Lu."

The other man cupped his fists in return, his politeness tinged with reverence.

Young, yet already a Double Winged Flying Bear, with an extraordinary background... Upon seeing Lu Yuan, Xu Weiguo imdiately ran through several speculations about his identity. Any of those possibilities made Lu Yuan soone worth befriending with utmost effort.

"Master Xu, you probably know why I’ve asked you here today?" Lu Yuan said to Xu Weiguo.

Xu Weiguo nodded. "Lord Lu, I will fully cooperate with whatever aspects of the Grandmaster Realm you wish to understand."

"Much appreciated, Master Xu."

Lu Yuan had heard that Pure Martial Grandmasters were mostly proud egoists; others interacting with them had to look up, not even daring to et their gaze directly. It seems the rumors weren’t so exaggerated after all. Then again... could this be why Xu Weiguo ranks at the bottom among Grandmasters? Still, he’s a bona fide Grandmaster.

"Let’s start by testing your punching and kicking power," Lu Yuan said after a mont’s thought.

I’d have plenty of ti to study this later in the Consciousness Space with the Imaginary Enemy, but since Xu Weiguo is here, we might as well test it now.

"Alright."

Xu Weiguo nodded decisively, his gaze scanning the room.

Lu Yuan guessed he was looking for a strength-asuring device and said, "No need for such trouble, Master Xu. Just throw a few punches at ."

"Then, Lord Lu, please be careful."

Xu Weiguo simply nodded, then relaxed his body and slowly threw a punch toward Lu Yuan.

As Xu Weiguo punched, Lu Yuan keenly sensed the man’s heartbeat and blood flow instantly accelerate more than tenfold. It felt as if a stream, once so placid its current was almost imperceptible, had suddenly transford into a raging, storm-tossed river. This shift from extre stillness to extre motion even astonished Lu Yuan. An ordinary person’s heart and blood vessels would have ruptured, killing them instantly... As expected of a Pure Martial Grandmaster; his control over his bodily functions has reached an incredible peak.

Xu Weiguo’s punch wasn’t fast. As his fist shot out, a distinct white ripple of air ford.

Lu Yuan remained calm, gently reaching out to catch Xu Weiguo’s fist.

BAM!

His opponent’s fist landed squarely in Lu Yuan’s palm.

Lu Yuan didn’t move an inch, looking at Xu Weiguo expressionlessly.

Xu Weiguo’s punch contained only about sixty to seventy tons of force. This amount of Fist Strength wasn’t even enough to make Lu Yuan sway.

Xu Weiguo didn’t seem surprised and quickly threw another punch. This punch, though also creating an air ripple, contained slightly more force than the last, but it still felt weak to Lu Yuan.

Xu Weiguo followed with a third punch.

With each punch, he increntally increased the power. It was unclear whether this was his natural caution or if he feared accidentally injuring Lu Yuan.

But it made Lu Yuan frown slightly. If he keeps going punch by punch like this, by the ti I’ve tested all the Grandmaster abilities I want to, it’ll be dark, won’t it? Xu Weiguo might look like he’s in his forties, but his mindset is closer to a ninety-year-old’s... He’s too slow!

Lu Yuan decided to take the initiative and quickly force out Xu Weiguo’s true strength.

If soone is about to die... they definitely wouldn’t hold anything back, right? Lu Yuan’s eyes glinted. After catching another of Xu Weiguo’s punches, his fingers suddenly splayed open like a crane’s claw, and he clawed fiercely at Xu Weiguo.

"Sure-kill—Spirit Crane Skill: Mistakenly Picked Immortal Orchid!"

The mont his claw shot out, the air around his palm crackled with successive explosions, and five white streams of air shot from his fingertips, leaving long, flowing trails.

With his four Basic Attributes continuously improving, Lu Yuan, even in his normal state without altering his physique, could easily unleash an instantaneous explosive force of over one hundred tons with a single hand. When he executed Mistakenly Picked Immortal Orchid now, it bore no resemblance to its forr graceful and elegant nature.

All that remained was an overwhelming tearing and crushing force, like a massive dark cloud descending upon Xu Weiguo’s head, threatening to crush, pulp, and explode it.

Xu Weiguo was abruptly startled. His muscles tensed involuntarily, and the power in his hands instantly surged.

ROAR!

BOOM!

A tiger’s roar and a crane’s cry seed to sound simultaneously in the air. Fist and claw collided, unleashing a muffled boom, and a massive shockwave spread outwards.

Xu Weiguo staggered back a step. Lu Yuan swayed slightly, then flexed his fingers and smiled. "Now *that’s* more like a Grandmaster."

Xu Weiguo’s expression instantly darkened. I had been courteous due to the other’s status, yet I was looked down upon for it. If that’s the case, there’s no need to hold back anymore.

Xu Weiguo’s body swayed, the bones throughout his body crackled, and the sound of blood rushing like a river echoed from within him.

He twisted and lunged at Lu Yuan, throwing a punch. His fist, enveloped in a dense, pure white light, produced a tiger’s roar in the air.

Far from being alard, Lu Yuan was delighted. The muscles beneath his skin rippled, and his dark-golden Martial God Strength burst forth as he punched back.

The dark-golden fist and the pure white fist collided.

BOOM!

The resulting sound and shockwave were several tis larger than before.

The Martial God Strength on Lu Yuan’s fist shattered completely, and he stumbled back two steps.

"This is?" A hint of surprise touched his face. Grandmaster’s Universe Qi? My Martial God Strength, since its creation, has never lost in a contest of Vigor; it always had a crushing effect. Unexpectedly, this ti, when clashing fists with Xu Weiguo, my Vigor was directly shattered by his. I recall information about Pure Martial Grandmasters and guess this might be the legendary Universe Qi unique to them.

"Lord Lu has sharp eyes," Xu Weiguo replied coolly, though his mind was in turmoil.

The quality of a Grandmaster’s Universe Qi is dozens of tis greater than an ordinary Fighter’s Vigor; the difference is more vast than that between a stone and an egg. Yet, when I just made contact with the dark-golden Vigor on Lu Yuan’s fist, I realized its quality was also absurdly high. It wasn’t like the Vigor of other Fighters, which shattered on impact. It held for several seconds, and a sliver of domineering power even penetrated my Protective Gang Qi, making my fist throb with a stinging pain. Monster.

"Please continue, Master Xu," Lu Yuan said with a smile, then resud his attack on Xu Weiguo.

Lu Yuan didn’t transform, nor did he use his True Intention or any skills outside the Fighter panel. He constantly switched between martial arts techniques from the Dragon Sect, Crane Sect, and Whale Body Covering Sea Flow.

For a ti, the spacious Martial Arts room filled with the echoing cries of dragons, tigers, cranes, and whales, intermingled with the thud of colliding fists and feet, creating a remarkably lively scene.

Gradually, Lu Yuan began to experience a joy he hadn’t felt in a long ti. The skills of the Pure Martial Series had been shelved by him for ages.

As the Fighter panel gradually approached its maximum level, its limitations beca apparent, exposing a lack of staying power. Lu Yuan himself might not have even noticed... but Fighter had slowly transitioned from his sole primary combat class to a supportive one. He could still employ Fighter techniques against S-level opponents, but against SS-level and above, he had to activate Elephant God: Walking Stance (Extraordinary) or incorporate nurous abilities from Death Teller (Extraordinary). Even when he did use Fighter skills, it was mostly Super Kills and the three Core Skills. He rarely used the myriad of other skills.

However, now, in his spar with the Pure Martial Grandmaster Xu Weiguo, Lu Yuan seed to gradually reconnect with his passion for being a Pure Martial Fighter. Techniques from various schools combined fluidly in his hands, constantly creating wondrous sparks with each clash.

Because this was just a spar, unlike past life-or-death battles, Lu Yuan’s mindset was exceptionally pure. Even being at a disadvantage or being pushed back didn’t matter to him.

This, in turn, allowed him to capture those marvelous and thrilling aspects of Pure Martial arts that he had previously overlooked—

Oh, so there are still so many unexplored depths to the Fighter panel!

He gradually imrsed himself in this exchange of "feeding" and "practicing" techniques, and his state of mind underwent a subtle change.

This change spurred his long-neglected Martial God Strength to undergo a marvelous transformation, rapidly improving in both quality and quantity. The Experience Points on his panel also skyrocketed.

In truth, with Lu Yuan’s current physical constitution, his Martial God Strength could have reached its maximum level countless tis over. However, due to its lackluster effects, he hadn’t invested much effort into it, leaving a significant portion of its potential untapped.

Lu Yuan felt his Spiritual Power had also changed slightly. His originally mist-like Spiritual Power began to condense. Having absorbed nurous black pearls in the Lant Ruins and inherited a vast sea of chaotic mory fragnts, the impurities lingering in his spirit and will started to be rapidly purged.

His entire ntal state was like a dust-covered mirror being repeatedly polished, gradually becoming brighter...

He fought with increasing exhilaration, the power in his fists and feet steadily growing.

anwhile, Xu Weiguo, who was sparring with him, grew increasingly astounded!

Although I’ve maintained the upper hand so far... this young Fighter before is like a spring. No matter how hard I press down, the youth bounces back quickly, his potential seemingly limitless. I’m now using nearly seventy percent of my strength, yet I still can’t completely suppress him. One must understand... I am a Pure Martial Grandmaster, the pinnacle of Fighters! The young man bears the emblem of a Double Winged Flying Bear on his chest, suggesting his true strength is surely not inferior to my own. But... he has only been using Pure Martial techniques throughout! This is simply inconceivable!

Xu Weiguo’s eyes glinted. He gritted his teeth, and an indescribable aura suddenly erupted from his body...

ROAR!

The tiger’s roar within the room instantly overwheld all other sounds, reverberating throughout the entire space.
