The phone on the other end conveyed Master Liudao Yuan’s calm, even voice.

"Recently, several old friends of mine from the Luoguang Sect insisted on sending the legacy of their school’s body tempering thod. Although the Luoguang Sect isn’t exactly a top-tier sect, their ’Five Luo Body’ has so unique aspects. I’ve looked at it, and it should be beneficial for your cultivation in the Palace of Flesh. After all, it’s a heartfelt gesture from your elders. When can you co back and learn this cultivation thod?"

Lu Yuan remained silent. He quietly accessed the Yellow Bear’s internal network and quickly searched for information regarding the "Luoguang Sect."

The first result that popped up was: [Major theft reported at Bing City’s Luoguang Sect. The Luoguang Sect Master has alerted the police, and the case is currently under urgent investigation.]

Lu Yuan drew a quiet breath and said in a low voice, "Teacher, I’ve been caught up with sothing recently and might not be able to return for a while."

"No matter," Liu didn’t seem to mind, adding lightly, "When the Southern Hundred Cities Martial Arts Competition begins, I’ll give you the materials then. You are planning on attending the competition, aren’t you?"

Lu Yuan’s eyes flickered as if he wanted to say sothing, but he pursed his lips and finally replied, "Alright."

Receiving Lu Yuan’s affirmation, Liu’s tone relaxed. He casually advised, "While you’re out, don’t let yourself be taken advantage of. If you run into trouble, fight. If you can’t win head-on, attack from behind. If you still can’t win, co back to the Crane Sect for backup." He added, "And don’t slack off in your Martial Arts training."

After hanging up Liu’s call, a complicated expression touched Lu Yuan’s face. He had been so preoccupied with the stone spheres and the Elephant God Walk’s affairs that he’d almost forgotten his promise to Liu to participate in the Southern Hundred Cities Martial Arts Competition.

Calculating the ti, not many days remained. Only four days were left before the competition officially began.

Lu Yuan silently contemplated the number. Four days...

On one hand, he hoped the Elephant God Walk would appear within these four days, allowing him to deal with it before heading to the martial arts competition, thus not delaying either. On the other hand, he wished the Elephant God Walk would arrive a couple of days later, as his preparations to counter it were still incomplete. The later the Elephant God Walk appeared, the greater his chances of success. However, this might conflict with the competition’s schedule.

After a mont’s thought, Lu Yuan still couldn’t find an ideal solution, so he decided to set the matter aside for now and take things one step at a ti.

「Ti flowed like water, and four days passed in the blink of an eye.」

THE RAIN CRASHED DOWN—

It was pouring heavily, and the large quarry was a sea of mud, yet many construction vehicles continued to work intensively.

Above the quarry, a silver-grey Fly Shuttle, resembling a giant silverfish, hovered silently, observing everything below.

Inside the Fly Shuttle, Lu Yuan sat cross-legged on a soft cushion. Two holographic screens floated before him, each displaying different video feeds. One showed a colossal blue whale gliding through the deep ocean, its massive body stirring countless currents and creating surging waves, fully embodying its status as an oceanic overlord. The other screen depicted a damp, dimly lit underground mine where several Yellow Bear mbers in black protective suits and headlamps were carefully placing three faintly glowing stone spheres onto a platform.

Xiao Ren stood beside Lu Yuan, reporting in a low, rapid voice, "All asures are in place. Based on data projections, our current defenses can hold against an S-class opponent for over eight hours, with a ten to thirty percent chance of elimination. Even if the enemy’s strength far exceeds our estimates and they attempt to destroy this 300-ter-deep mine shaft, they won’t be able to retrieve the stone spheres easily without the proper ans."

"Hmm," Lu Yuan acknowledged with a slight nod.

Yu Wentong had tasked him with confronting the Elephant God Walk independently, so Lu Yuan couldn’t request reinforcents from the Yellow Bear higher-ups, but he wasn’t a fool. As a Gold Bear, the highest rank in the Old City Circle, he had naturally mobilized all the forces at his disposal.

Lu Yuan had a plan: once the Elephant God Walk arrived, he would have his Yellow Bear subordinates unleash waves of suppressive fire with firearms. After weakening the Elephant God Walk as much as possible, he would then look for an opportunity to strike personally. If he could win, he would fight. If not, he would detonate the mine where the stone spheres were located, aiming for mutual destruction. Even if the Elephant God Walk was incredibly powerful, digging 300 ters underground would take considerable ti, giving him enough leeway to organize a subsequent counterattack.

It seems I’ve been unconsciously influenced by Liu... The old probably wouldn’t have conceived such a roguish plan.

Lu Yuan touched his cheek. Just as this thought crossed his mind, his phone rang. The caller ID displayed "Zhuang Xiujie."

Today was the final day before the Southern Hundred Cities Martial Arts Competition comnced. Lu Yuan didn’t even need to answer to guess why Zhuang Xiujie was calling. He instinctively felt a headache coming on, but he picked up anyway.

"Mrs. Zhuang," Lu Yuan greeted.

Zhuang Xiujie’s voice ca inquiringly from the other end, "Little Senior Brother, why haven’t you arrived yet?"

"Sothing... ca up on my end. I can’t make it there right away." Lu Yuan felt a wave of helplessness and gestured to his side; Xiao Ren and the others imdiately and obediently turned away.

"Little Senior Brother, you should hurry. The competition officially starts tomorrow."

"Alright," Lu Yuan responded. Then he heard sounds of fighting from the other end—BANG! SMACK—

He vaguely heard soone yell, "Master Liudao Yuan! I’ll xxx you!"

Lu Yuan’s eyebrows shot up. "Mrs. Zhuang, what’s happening over there?" he asked quickly.

Zhuang Xiujie replied in a low voice, "What else could it be? Master’s gotten into a fight. We arrived early this ti and ran into several of Master’s old rivals on the road. We’ve had seven or eight skirmishes, big and small, these past few days..." She paused briefly before adding, "Master started all of them."

Lu Yuan was silent for a couple of seconds before asking, "Is Master alright? Is anyone hurt?"

"You don’t have to worry about that," Zhuang Xiujie replied. "In the south, there aren’t many Fighters who can hurt Master. The Crane Sect’s true neses are all elsewhere; we won’t run into them this ti. Besides, even though they’re fighting, everyone is here for the competition. They’re holding back, so no one’s seriously injured."

"That’s good." Lu Yuan sighed in relief. Suddenly, he heard Zhuang Xiujie say urgently, "Alright, Little Senior Brother, please co as soon as you can. Master has been asking about you several tis. I have to go, sothing’s co up here."

Her tone then shifted, becoming icy as if yelling at soone, "You little beast! You’ll leave that claw you used to throw the chair right here for !"

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP—

Listening to the busy tone, Lu Yuan was lost in a long silence.

He hadn’t initially planned to participate in the tournant; Mosa was one of the organizers, so he figured he could get a ticket to Martial Saint Island directly from them. But now... it seed he had no choice.

The tournant hadn’t even officially started, yet in just two days, Liu had already led the Crane Sect into eight brawls. He already had countless enemies, and acting so brazenly after returning to the martial world could provoke public outrage again, leading to them being besieged.

Lu Yuan’s eyes flickered as his mind raced. He quickly ordered Xiao Ren, "Get Sakfu from Mosa for ."

"Yes, sir."

A mont later, Sakfu, wearing a silver sheep mask, appeared before Lu Yuan on a video call.

"What do you require, Lord Silver Spearman?" Sakfu knelt respectfully, his reverence undiminished in the video feed.

Lu Yuan looked at him and said coldly, "Find a way to postpone the Southern Hundred Cities Martial Arts Competition by three days."

Sakfu was silent for a mont, then nodded. "Yes, my Lord."

Lu Yuan ended the video call, his face grim.

Three days. I’ll wait here for three more days. If the Elephant God Walk still hasn’t appeared by then, I’ll go to the tournant. Liu has treated well.

He was a man who valued his pride; even if he lost all his limbs, he could still get by on his reputation and words alone. This point of honor for Liu—he would fight for it if he could.

WHOOSH—

Lu Yuan released a soft breath, his mind quickly settling after making the decision. His gaze returned to the screen playing the blue whale video, and he resud studying it intently. He had been contemplating the Whale Body Covering Sea Flow cultivation thod for the past few days and had gained so insights. Any increase in strength before the impending battle would be beneficial.

「A few kiloters from the quarry, on a small hill」

A group of people stood among the trees, cloaked in a faint, transparent light mbrane. This was a signal-shielding device unique to the Egersis, one of the reasons they could appear here so brazenly.

"What are those Yellow Bear people doing? Do they really think such trivial asures can stop that Walker Level monster from the Elephant God Religion?" a tall man with deep-set eyes, a high nose, and short golden hair sneered in the Havel language.

"They’ve never faced that monster personally; they have no concept of its terror. These backward, crude tactics are a joke in the face of the Elephant God Walk... The Yellow Bear is definitely going to suffer a major loss this ti!" soone else muttered in agreent.

At the ntion of the "Elephant God Walk," the expressions of many in the group shifted, as if recalling nightmarish experiences. Bai Ying, the only ordinary person in the team, turned even paler, her hands unconsciously clenching the hem of her clothes.

"There don’t seem to be any formidable Yellow Bear Fighters present this ti, do there? Why don’t we just seize the ’key’ now? After all... we have ’Fire Fist’ Julian, and he’s a Level-5 Egersis!" soone in the Egersis team asked, puzzled.

The blond man who had spoken first cursed, "Fool! Even if we grab the ’key’ now, wouldn’t we still have to face the Elephant God Walk’s pursuit? Instead of having Lord Julian confront a full-strength Elephant God Walk, it’s better to let the Yellow Bear people wear it down first. That’ll make things easier for Lord Julian. Besides, the ’key’ isn’t going anywhere..."

"I’m just worried... if this drags on, Yellow Bear’s top experts might arrive, introducing too many uncertainties."

"There’s nothing to worry about. The people of Sum Country are always prideful and arrogant. Besides, this is Lord Julian’s decision. We just need to execute it."

As the short-haired young man spoke, he glanced at his wristwatch, a faint look of confusion appearing on his face. "Strange. Lord Julian should have arrived by now. Why haven’t we seen any sign of him?"

「anwhile.」

Suspended in the sky 5,000 ters above the quarry, a burly Havel man with fiery red hair and deep blue flas jetting from the soles of his feet floated quietly. He squinted at the person before him and asked in halting Sum language, "Sum Country’s... Flying Bear?"

"Correct!" Standing opposite the red-haired man, a handso man in an exquisite deep-blue exoskeleton armor smiled and made a "you got it right" gesture. Then, glancing downward, he murmured, "Our lord has said... no one is to interfere in this matter."
