The sun was bright over Tianxu City.
Chen Yu walked out of his villa, wearing a black casual jacket and jeans. With his hands in his pockets and a relaxed smile on his face, he looked like any other young man.
But only he knew... the world he was building was anything but normal.
Inside his mind, a familiar chanical voice rang out.
[System Notification: Mission progress 40%. Status: Stable.]
Chen Yu smiled slightly.
"Good. Let's keep moving forward."
Today, he had simple tasks:Check on the real estate projects, et a few investors, and most importantly — attend a private charity event hosted by the Zhao Family.
The Zhao Family was a dium-tier power in Tianxu City. Not a threat to him, but still worth knowing.
Especially... Zhao Lingyun.
The talented, elegant, and slightly naive daughter of the Zhao Family.
Later at the charity event, the hall was filled with laughter and chatter.
Zhao Lingyun wore a simple light-blue dress, standing beside her father. She looked pure and graceful, attracting many eyes.
Chen Yu stood at a distance, sipping his drink, casually observing.
"Host, nearby threat detected," the system suddenly alerted.
He turned slightly.A group of young n from another local family — the Wu Family — were surrounding Zhao Lingyun, led by a spoiled heir nad Wu Jingtian.
Wu Jingtian leaned close to Lingyun, speaking in a low, oily voice.
"Miss Zhao, you should co have a drink with . I'll make sure your family's next project goes smoothly."
Zhao Lingyun looked uncomfortable, stepping back.
"Young Master Wu, please respect yourself."
But Wu Jingtian only laughed, reaching out as if to grab her hand.
Chen Yu's eyes turned cold.
He put down his glass and walked forward.
"Lingyun, there you are. I've been looking for you."
His voice was calm but firm.
Zhao Lingyun's eyes lit up when she saw him — a flash of relief passing over her face.
Chen Yu naturally placed his hand on her shoulder, pulling her slightly behind him.
Wu Jingtian frowned.
"Who the hell are you?"
Chen Yu's smile didn't reach his eyes.
"The person you shouldn't ss with."
Wu Jingtian's face twisted in anger.
"You dare stand in my way? In Tianxu City?"
Chen Yu didn't answer.
Instead, he asked silently in his mind:
"System, can you give experience in fighting skills?"
[Request Accepted: Transferring Basic Combat Skills...]
A surge of knowledge entered his mind — punches, grapples, footwork — it felt like second nature now.
Wu Jingtian, fueled by anger, threw a wild punch.
Chen Yu moved so fast that few even saw what happened. In one smooth step, he sidestepped the punch, grabbed Wu Jingtian's wrist, and twisted.
CRACK!
Wu Jingtian scread, falling to the ground clutching his broken wrist.
The crowd gasped.
Chen Yu leaned down, his voice calm and cold.
"Next ti you touch soone without permission, it'll be more than just your wrist."
The Wu Family guards hesitated — but Chen Yu's cold aura froze them in place.
Zhao Lingyun clutched her chest, her heart pounding wildly. She had seen many arrogant young masters in her life — but never soone like Chen Yu. Calm, powerful, untouchable.
Her face turned slightly red.
Wu Jingtian, humiliated, stumbled back with his n, gritting his teeth.
Chen Yu turned to Lingyun, his voice gentle now.
"Are you okay?"
She nodded shyly.
"Thank you... Chen Yu..."
He smiled.
"Stay close to from now on."
At that mont, Zhao Lingyun's heart skipped a beat.
Later that night, back at Chen Yu's villa, Bai Ruxue and Lei iyun were lounging on the couch, watching TV.
When Chen Yu entered, they imdiately noticed a change in him — a sharper aura.
iyun smirked.
"Another one joined the fan club, huh?"
Ruxue rolled her eyes but smiled warmly.
"As long as you rember who ca first."
Chen Yu chuckled.
"Of course. You two are special."
But deep down, they all understood — from this point onward, the road ahead would be filled with more won, more challenges... and more power.
And none of them would ever leave his side.
