(Orlax’s POV)
I felt the sunlight hitting my eyes, so I started to open my eyelids.
There was a weight on my chest, so I looked down and saw Sera sleeping on top of , drooling from her mouth.
’Didn’t Riana throw her off the bed last night? How did she get back here and fall asleep on ?’
I turned to my right and saw Riana sleeping in an extrely ssy position.
Her legs were hanging in the air, leaning on the bed, while her head was on the other side.
I turned to the left, but I didn’t see Alice, so I assud she had already left earlier.
I carefully moved Sera off so as not to wake her and got off the bed.
"Boog."
I felt my foot sink into sothing, so I looked down.
I found Alice sleeping on the floor, and I was currently standing on her stomach while trying to balance myself.
I quickly moved my foot away and stepped back from the bed, looking at them all sleeping.
’What is this chaos?’
Despite my irritation, a smile appeared on my face, showing that I wasn’t really that upset.
I grabbed a clean set of clothes, took a shower for a while, then left the room.
I headed to the basent under the palace.
This basent was usually used for storage and had several empty rooms that were never used, so I went into one of them.
I sat cross-legged in the middle of the empty room and began to ignore everything around to enter a state of calm.
The world around started to change, and I felt as if I was floating in nothingness. But I didn’t mind—it was peaceful, and I remained sitting with my eyes closed.
After about two hours, I exited the state of stillness and opened my eyes.
I looked at my body and saw the familiar red particles surrounding —but this ti, I noticed sothing new.
Near my heart, there were several glowing white particles, completely different from the red ones.
These white particles seed to have a will of their own, and I couldn’t control them as I did the red ones.
’This is the "Right " If I could control it as I wish, I would beco invincible.’
The idea of controlling the "Right" had existed for thousands of years, but unfortunately, no one in history had ever managed to control it. At best, those who reached the Grandmaster level could consu it.
I stood up from the floor, dusted off my clothes, and left the room, heading out of the basent.
’I no longer need to rely on mana to heal my eyes, so I can eat as much as I want from now on.’
After thinking about what I wanted to prepare for breakfast, I gathered everything I needed and began cooking.
While I was busy, a tiny girl, no bigger than a finger, flew and landed on my shoulder.
She had red hair and beautiful golden eyes.
She had a cheerful smile on her face as she watched cook.
"Can you stay away from Riana?"
I glanced briefly at the Sword Spirit on my shoulder, then went back to what I was doing.
[Sword Spirit says she can go anywhere in the world.]
"Hmm. Then why do you stay with Riana and help her?"
I cracked two eggs into the pan while glancing at the screen floating before .
[Sword Spirit refuses to answer.]
My lips twitched slightly when I saw her wide smile as she looked at .
"Alright then, were you the one who told Riana to ask to beco Empress?"
[Sword Spirit says yes, she was the one who told her to do that.]
"So, you were the reason. Huh."
After getting my answer, I ignored her and continued cooking in silence.
About thirty minutes later, I finished everything and looked at the food I had prepared.
In the center of the tray, I placed an olet with cheese and vegetables. Beside it, I made several mini at pies stuffed with a few nuts.
For the side dishes, there was a vegetable salad drizzled lightly with honey.
Next to that was toasted bread topped with soft-boiled eggs.
For dessert, I made waffles with cream and strawberries.
Strawberry milk juice was carefully placed beside the tray.
"Hmm, I think this is acceptable."
I levitated everything carefully using control magic and walked slowly so I wouldn’t spill anything.
I entered the dining hall and arranged the breakfast neatly on the table.
’I feel like I’ve beco a housekeeper.’
I ignored the identity crisis I was suffering from and went to my room to wake everyone up.
I entered and my lips twitched at the scene on the bed.
At so point, Alice had returned to sleep on the bed and was hugging Sera so tightly that I thought she might suffocate.
On the other side, Riana’s head had fallen off the bed while her feet were still on it as she slept.
"Hehehehe."
Alice was laughing foolishly in her sleep as if she was dreaming about sothing.
"Wake up, all of you!"
I shouted at them to wake up, but they didn’t seem like they were going to wake up any ti soon.
I used control magic to cover Sera’s ears so she wouldn’t be startled by what I was about to do.
"Alright, you brought this on yourselves."
BOOM!
I clapped my hands together with such force that the sound resembled an explosion, startling the two girls awake.
"Who the hell dares to interrupt the sleep of this great one?!"
"Huh? What’s going on?"
Riana sprang up quickly, alert and cursing.
On the other side, Alice woke up in panic, looking around in confusion.
"Riana, what did you just say?"
A vein popped on my forehead as I looked at Riana, who had just cursed .
"Ah, nothing, nothing. I ant—who is the handso, strong, and kind man who woke up because he cares about my health!"
Riana shrank under my angry gaze, clearly realizing her mistake.
"Excellent. Bathe Sera and co downstairs to the dining hall. You too, Alice—move it."
I left the room after giving them instructions, rubbing my head.
’Am I your mother or what? I’m the Emperor, damn it.’
Once again, I ignored the identity crisis I was having and headed to another room.
But halfway there, I saw a black-haired girl running toward .
"Elena, what’s wrong? Why are you running like that?"
I asked Elena, who stopped when she saw and asked cautiously:
"Is the palace under attack? I heard an explosion."
I silently watched Elena as she looked around cautiously, searching for enemies.
"Ahem, don’t worry about that. Anyway, I was just coming to invite you to breakfast with us. Interested?"
Elena stopped scanning the surroundings and looked at with slight hesitation.
"Are you sure? This might cause so trouble."
"Co on, it’s just breakfast. What could possibly happen?"
I waved my hand dismissively, showing that it wasn’t a big deal, and we headed to the dining hall.
"..."
I sat in the dining hall, which was filled with silence and a bit of tension.
I sat at the head of the table, with Elena to my right.
On my left side sat both Alice and Riana, who was glaring at Elena.
Sera sat in my lap, staring at the food with drool dripping from her mouth.
’What’s going on? Why this weird silence?’
"So... who is this woman sitting with us?"
Riana broke the silence, staring at Elena with piercing eyes as if trying to see into her soul.
’Right, Riana never saw Elena before, so she doesn’t know her.’
"This is Elena. She’ll be working as my assistant."
I introduced her briefly, but Riana didn’t seem satisfied with that.
"You just hire any random person to be your assistant?"
She didn’t understand why I had chosen this black-haired girl whose na she had never even heard.
I looked at Alice beside Riana, signaling her with my eyes to explain Elena’s true identity.
Alice nodded and whispered a few words in Riana’s ear.
Riana’s expression changed several tis in quick succession, making wonder if it was even humanly possible to shift expressions that fast.
"What?! Are you serious? This is the Ugly Witch?!"
Riana scread so loudly in shock that I covered my ears for a mont.
"Yes, Elena is the one people call the Ugly Witch."
I confird Alice’s words so Riana would believe that the person in front of her was indeed the infamous Ugly Witch.
"But how? She’s more beautiful than —more beautiful than even Alice!"
Elena remained silent the entire ti, watching everything as if none of it concerned her.
"Well, maybe I did sothing that caused her to end up like this."
"Don’t tell you did to her what you did to to make stronger?"
"Yes."
Riana slumped with a sigh, staring at Elena with a pout.
"Fine, fine. Let’s talk about this later. Let’s eat now."
Alice cut off Riana before she said sothing foolish and saved the situation.
’Nice save, Alice. She was definitely about to do sothing dumb.’
I shook the thoughts out of my head and began eating while feeding Sera, who was sitting on my lap.
