With trembling hands, Xin Yichen took his grandson in his arms and kissed his forehead. He didn't know if crying at such an occasion was a bad on. But he really wanted to have a good cry. He was so afraid for Alcina and this little baby. He was afraid that Ryuu would have to live the life he did. He didn't want that for Ryuu. He kissed the little one's forehead and said in a hoarse voice, "Reine and I wanted to na our son Yuanjun if ever had. But we never got the chance."
Even though it would be right for him to give the na Yuanjun to his grandson, he didn't have the heart to. His son and grandson were two different beings. He didn't want to mix up too.
Thus, he said, "How about we call him Tang Zhixin?"
"That's a beautiful na," Zhenyi clapped like an excited kid. "Zhixin as in ambitious. Wow, my dear nephew, be as amazing as your only aunt."
Long Jie shook his head. Yup, pregnancy ssed up with his Zhenyi's head. She was getting more narcissistic with each passing day. When the na was finalized, he stood up to hugged his sister. He pulled a thick red packet from his pocket and gave it to the baby.
"What is it?" Zhenyi asked him. She saw her husband giving a thick red packet. Was it a new ritual she wasn't aware of?
"A red packet for my nephew," Long Jie answered his wife. He was inford by Feng Siyan that Alcina had a healthy baby boy and he had prepared one for his nephew. Because how could he not give his nephew a thick red packet on their first eting?
"Oh, why did you not tell to prepare one too?" Zhenyi asked him, raising her brow at him. She was just minutes away from bursting out like a grenade. " I want to prepare one for my nephew too?" Just as he expected her to be angry at him, she dumbfounded him by raising another question," Jie, how co he is our mutual nephew."
As hilarious as it sounds, Tang Zhixin was their mutual nephew.
She didn't waste ti waiting for an answer and quickly turned to look at her shaless brother. "And Ryuu, since you accepted such a thick red packet without sha. Make sure you double it on our tis."
"Get babies and I will not forget," Ryuu answered, rolling his eyes. His sister was sitting weird day by day. He didn't rember her being so petty before.
"Oh, that is coming soon," Zhenyi announced and Long Jie rubbed his forehead. This was not how they were supposed to announce their good news. "You prepare the red packets."
"What do you an?" Both Ryuu and Alcina said at the sa ti.
Long Jie sighed while Zhenyi proudly showed her belly. Even at five-month pregnant, her belly was easily hidden by loose clothes. If one didn't look carefully, they wouldn't know she was pregnant.
"Ba, you were aware?" Ryuu asked his father. From his father's nonchalant expressions, he could tell that everyone else was aware of the news.
"Why else did you think I had to drag her to Xin mansion?" Xin Yichen asked in return. He gave a look to his pregnant daughter who was still not happy how her father demanded that she shifted ho with her husband.
"Bà, I was managing fine," Zhenyi grumbled.
"Managing? Your husband was at his wit's end. He didn't know how to deal with a wife who was behaving like she had eaten so explosive for breakfast, lunch and dinner," Xin Yichen said, making her purse her lips. "Not to ntion, you were underweight. There are many things that you didn't know. And your husband already has a lot on his plate. I couldn't see him losing his mind."
"Bà, being pregnant is not that difficult," Zhenyi tried to make sense.
"Says the woman who was nearly falling into depression," Long Jie said, rubbing her back. "Zhenyi, Bà is right. We need him right now. Getting help from family sotis is not a bad thing. It's not just about you, it's about him too. You see what happened to Alcina and your mom? He is just scared that sothing similar could happen to you too. Let's give him so peace. And if you stay there, I will be relieved."
Zhenyi sighed as she looked at both of them bitterly. She said in a grumbling tone, "I hate when all of you make sense."
She knew that the ti was hard for Long Jie at this ti but she was trying to understand his point of view but her erratic emotions were making it hard for her. She was doing the opposite of what she should do. You see nothing was in her control anymore. She couldn't even focus on work. Everything was hard for her. But she was trying to manage even though it was hard.
"We are very happy for both of you," Alcina said, hugging her sister in law. "Now our Xiaobao and Faye will get more brothers and sisters to play with in the future. And we don't mind how you hide the news from us."
Of course, the last part was sarcasm.
"We wanted to tell everyone but the ti wasn't right, " Zhenyi said with a stiff smile. "Everything was slipping from our hands and there were more urgent things to deal with than my pregnancy news. We never an to keep it hidden from you all for such a long ti. But you see, nothing was in our control."
"Congratulations." Both of them said. They weren't angry. They understood it way better than one. Ti was never in their favour. However, everything was putting back to their places now. Soon, everything will be okay.
"By the way, where is my big baby?" Alcina asked when she noticed that her daughter didn't co to et her. "How co she is not here?"
"She is in her room asleep," Long Jie replied. " She has a slight fever."
"Ryuu, take care of Xiaobao," Alcina said, quickly walking to Faye's room.. "I will see Faye first."
