Long Shaoming chuckled. "I'm fine, son. I don't want any of you to fight after my death over the will. That's why I decided to announce it when I'm alive and healthy."
Long Jie sighed in relief.
"We won't ever fight over money, Uncle," Long Wei imdiately said. Truly, the understanding these brothers had with each other was enviable.
"I know, son. You all are good brothers. That's why I want to do this. I don't want you three to ever fight over a re thing called wealth," Long Shaoming replied with a smile.
"Co on, dad. Let's not make each other sentintal. We don't want you to announce your will. We are truly happy," Long Yuan said nonchalantly. However, right now, he was anything but nonchalant.
"But I certainly need to do this now," Long Shaoming replied to his son. He paused for a brief mont as his eyes darted to everyone's face. So people were still absent. Nevertheless, he knew it wasn't easy to bring them here so easily.
"But dad---"
"Jie, Wei, and Yuan let your father do it," Grandma Mian spoke to her grandchildren. "If he is desiring to announce his will when he is alive and healthy, what's wrong with it? You all are the children of this family. He wanted you all to always stay together without any inheritance fight."
The three of them-- Long Jie, Long Wei, and Long Yuan dropped their complaints. Because they had no argunts to make.
"You're lucky that you're Bà's only child," Long Jie said to her wife, his eyes fixed on his father's face.
"I'm not," Zhenyi whispered.
"What?" Long Jie turned his gaze quickly to Zhenyi.
"I'm not his only child," Zhenyi whispered while staring into his eyes with apparent remorse for lying to him.
"Let's start with the clan mbers," Long Shaoming said, disturbing the mont of great truth revelation. After they were done with clan mbers, they arrived at the asset distribution in the family. "Wenna, we gave you 'Eternity' as your dowry. (Eternity was a jewelry company). It was because you refused to have the shares that father was willing to give as your dowry. Do you want any specific property now?"
Long Wenna refused. " I only have one son. I'm already loaded. What would I do with any more assets?"
Long Wenna was not good to Zhenyi and Tang Reine but she was a good sister to her brothers.
Long Shaoming nodded and moved forward, "I have made another important decision. The tech giant called Long Techs will be separated from the Long groups. Its net assets amount to around xxx billion which is equivalent to ten percent shares of the Long groups. Long Wei will not be given any share in the Long groups, instead, he will be declared as the sole inheritor of the Long Techs as soon as he takes the role of the CEO of the Long Techs."
[A/N: Pardon for the mistakes. I have never made a will. I'm still alive, extrely young, and currently childless ?. Thus, I have no experience in preparing wills.]
Long Wei glanced at his Uncle and father in surprise. He hadn't expected the outco. But was he happy with it? Absolutely. Long Techs was his sanctuary. He had been there since it was started many years ago. If there was any industry under LG( short for Long Groups), he enjoyed working for it was always Long Techs.
"Wei, you are a natural-born leader. But I know there is always one leader. I had a long conversation with your father and he suggested to that it was sothing you would like to have. I hope you are happy with my decision," Long Shaomimg said. "Although I was hesitant when he suggested to separate Long Techs from LG, later, I realized where he was coming from. Just like , he was worried that you and brothers may develop differences in the future.
Son, your father and I never differentiated between our sons and nephews because we weren't taught that by our mother. Don't think for a mont that we are separating you from your brothers. Instead, it's a chance to be an ally to them. Don't follow each other then but guide."
Long Wei just nodded because right now he had no words to say. His hold around his wife tightened and a weird fussy feeling appeared in his chest. He loved his brothers and there was no way he would fight with them over the inheritance. But he didn't know what kind of people his kids would be. He never wished for his kids to fight with Long Jie's or Long Yuan's kids over inheritance in the future. And as if God couldn't be more benevolent, he gave him the perfect solution.
"Long Yuan, the clubs and the hotel chain belong to you as soon as you take the position of the CEO. Since clubs and the hotel chains didn't co under Long Groups, you will be compensated with the five percent shares of the LG that your mom has," Long Shaominh announced as he glanced at his wife who raised her chin proudly and Long Yuan knew what was coming next. " But you won't be able to get those shares if you don't marry Liu Shishi. It's your mom's only condition."
Long Yuan chuckled inwardly. Of course, as long as he married Liu Shishi everything would be alright except for himself.
"There are several properties in the country and abroad ntioned in the file which will be given to Zhenyi, ilin, and Yuan's wife. The firstborn child of the family will get two percent shares that mom has in Long groups."
Zhenyi was a little surprised to hear that she was also given sothing in the will. Not that she needed any properties, but still, she would take it as a blessing, right?
Money is good. No money is best. It's always welco. Money never betrays you as people do.
